Body & Brain Yoga Tai Chi is a yoga studio in Westmont offering holistic wellness classes consisting of yoga, tai chi, meditation, and breathwork based on 5000-year old Korean traditions. We offer a variety of yoga classes for beginners and more advanced classes to energize and heal the mind, body, and spirit.

Our friendly and inviting Westmont yoga classes include Body & Brain Yoga (all levels), Core Strengthening, Energy Movement, Meditation, Open Class, Tai Chi, Tai Chi and Qigong, Yoga and Qigong, and more.

This place definitely ranks is in the top 3 things I missed when moving away from the area. I mostly took the Tai Chi classes and a couple of yoga classes. I had no experience with these types of classes before. It's welcoming to all ability levels and the instructors are awesome. I always felt at least 10x better after walking out of the class. I felt grounded, energized, and ready fo whatever came next in my day. Prices are reasonable and they offer a lot of other classes to help develop your mind, body, and spirituality. Seriously, go try a class out, you won't regret it.

I went to try the Tai Chi. Took an introductory class and then signed up for a month of unlimited access to on site and online classes. As I had a medical background, I knew the benefits of Eastern body and mind knowledge and the connections to Western health and exercise activities. There are classes that can help anyone and great opportunities to clear a cluttered mind, loosen up a misused or abused body, strengthen a weak functioning whole person. I highly recommend doing a bit of research as to what they are trying to do to help as it helps to open the mind to the process of getting β€œbetter” as a human being. Know why leads to knowing how. After trying each of the different classes with different instructors, I was able to focus on specific weak areas I need and want to improve my life. Give them a try.

If you are looking for a physical, emotional and spiritual well being, the place to go to is Body&Brain Yoga TaiChi Westmont. I have been going there for 10 years. I can not describe the degree of physical and emotional healing and the spiritual growth I have experienced. The masters are superb, very helpful and guide us in every which way to grow. Due to the current COVID-19 situation there are online classes and slowly the center has opened for indoor classes. I have taken several on line courses and each one of them was excellent given by experienced masters. I can promise you that you will not be disappointed and it does not hurt to give it a try.

A very dedicated group with significant skills. I have learned a considerable amount of Tai chi in a modest period of time. One suggestion of " toe tapping" has helped me with my restless leg syndrome at night. That condition was due to running, stair master, in-line skating and ski skating.

I would like to share my experience with Body & Brain Yoga Taichi program. The year 2020 was a challenging year for all of us. With COVID- 19 we were all pretty much home bound. We are all social beings. Not having physical contact with outside world can be mentally very depressing and in turn that can lead to physical and mental illnesses. But Body& Brain Yoga Taichi did not give into COVID -19. The organizers rouse to the occassion and met the challenge whole heartedly. They took advantage of the technology and arranged several online classes so that their members could attend those classes. They had several training programs that we could participate. As far as I am concerned, the regular on line classes and training programs kept my sanity going and helped to spiritually grow with the challenging situation. If not for Body & Brain organization I could have been in a real mental DUMP. I can not thank
Master park enough for his gentle training with long stretches. Feel very relaxed after his classes.
I have been with Body & Brain for 10 years now. I have enjoyed my improved physical health, emotional healing and spiritual growth. I love all the Masters in the organization. They really are concerned souls and take care of their members. Please check it out and you will not be disappointed.

This is my home center. I have been practicing yoga for 10 years and it helped change so many things in my life. The stretching is absolutely amazing – I rediscovered a number of muscles I never knew I had. The overall effect of a class is energizing and calming. I often go there with a headache or feeling very tired and leave in the best possible shape. I would strongly recommend this place to anyone looking for an exercise or more.

I met the team from Body & Brain Yoga at an event they attended at my workplace. Totally by chance because I had not heard about the event prior. after chatting with them for a few minutes I knew there was a connection. My first visit was at the Westmont Center with Sumunjang, the Center Manager, who is also one of the trainers/healers. It was such an amazing experience, so positive, so much good energy, and immediate connection. Since then I have attended many classes and workshops, and have learned so much from them. Everyone there, from the trainers, staff, fellow students, have been so welcoming, accepting and non-judgemental. For those that may not know me, im not an excercise junkie, typically I would find any excuse to avoid exercise. Since I have been going to Body&Brain, and yes, I am going...I feel so much better physically and mentally, clear headed and focused. I actually look forward to the classes, and the energy from everyone there. For me, this chance meeting has put me on a better path, and for the first time in a long time I feel like this is something I can do for me, and need to do for me. I was totally moved today at the Body and Brain Yoga – Taichi center in Weston, IL. Through conscious movement, tapping, and breath-work, we generated a vibration and energy that tingled every cell. Any pause in the class was filled with vibrational-joy as we awakened energy meridians throughout the body opening ourselves to our truth.

As a lot of yoga today has become about fitness and exercise it was nice to be reminded of the trinity correlation; mind, body, and spirit; that captures the mystical essence of yoga and its purpose. I can just imagine over time how beneficial the effects of that vibrational-energy will be toward inner serenity and piece.

I had no idea that I was about to embark on the best thing that I had ever done for myself! I have struggled with chronic illness for all of my life and felt it was time to do something before my illnesses got to the point that I would no longer be able to function. I saw results quickly. As I began to regain my strength and vitality, I noticed a remarkable difference in my level of stress and coping mechanisms, both mentally and physically.

The staff was so accommodating and they were able to fit me in on the very same day for a consultation. The instructors are, at once, respectful, knowledgeable, dedicated, encouraging and strive to meet the the needs of the individual. I find this so very important when there are so many skill levels and health concerns. Everyone seems to enjoy the classes giving an air of positive energy and granting all a welcome and supportive environment.

If you are looking to find your own inner beauty, peace, and balance of mind and body then I would highly recommend that you try Dahn Yoga. The use of Korean healing principals, flowing movements, and breathing exercises are at the core of practice in regaining and retaining optimal health; and the workshops are INCREDIBLY energizing.

My only regret is that I did not find this place sooner. Wishing all better health and wellness through movement.

I joined body and brain approximately two years ago. it was one of best decisions I have made. A few months after I joined, I could notice that I was more flexible, my tennis game improved dramatically and I was more at peace and calmer and happier as a person. eventually by being consistent I noticed that I gradually lost weight and could feel my posture and spine attain a more normal curvature. I've been to Westmont Body & Brain a handful of times and had nothing short of an exceptional experience. I've had different instructors every time and can honestly say they are so kind, motivating, and truly knpw what they were doing. What makes me keep coming back is the instructors willingness to work with the members at their own pace. I've been coming to Westmont Body & Brain for 4+ years and I don't know what I'd do without it! Going regularly has kept me happy, calm, flexible and grounded. I feel like I never knew my body before but the practice has really taught me to know my body and my mind, and especially to understand that "my body is not ME, it's MINE." Body & Brain yoga has been my best friend! It helped me find balance in my life. Taking their class is the fastest way to energize myself. It's not hard yoga but simple stretching exercises that emphasize a lot on breathing at the same time. It helps to clear my head and circulate energy in my body. I've started Dahn Yoga classes about 5 months ago with the goal to reduce stress, strenghtening my core and increase my flexibility.

Within a month of regular training (2 times a week), I was able to significantly reduce my stress level to a point where friends, family and coworkers even noticed that I'm "different" (in a positive way).

Three months into training, my chiropractioner and massage therapist which I've been seeing regularely for the past 2 years (lower back problems) were wondering what I was doing as they noticed that my entire posture changed for better and that my muscles are less tense.

The staff there is very knowlegdable, kind, caring and encouraging.

Dahn Yoga changed my life (maybe even saved it as my stress level was so much through the roof, I felt like I was heading straight into a semi-nervous breakdown). I recommend it to anyone who's looking to improve his/her overall health with a holistic approach.

I first went to DΓ hn Yoga because I was so stiff. Because of the instructor n other members at the center I found so much more. I now have better movement, am more relaxed, focused and happy in my life now .

I have been taking yoga classes here for about 4 months and I love it. The classes include stretching, breathing and guided relaxation/meditation exercises.
