Laron is a great trainer. He actually setups your workouts and meal plans to your schedule and goals. My husband and I have lost 50lbs together since a year ago. We have become much stronger and lighter than what we have been before. The boot camps also help too. Burn a lot of calories and get stronger in the process.

I actually look forward to my workouts now! What stands out most is his attention to detail: He ensures your technique is always correct, prioritizing injury prevention. Probably the best decision that I made was to join this gym & work under the direction of this amazing trainer. He’s very patient. He’s very knowledgeable. Super creative!!! I’ve seen amazing results. My weight is down, my body is contoured & my energy is up. My Blood pressure is where is should be.Even when I injured my knee at work he supported me through it to get back on track. There’s not only weightlifting, cardio, core but also a beautiful sauna I call the “sweat box.” The gym is always clean & the equipment is great. On Sundays he has a bootcamp to maximize your fitness productivity. Plenty of safe, secure parking ,too. He also gives me lessons on how to take care of my nutrition in this season of my life. On your off days he’ll check I with you via text to share healthy tips. If you just wanna get your body right truly you need to see LaRon💚

I found LaRon while googling for a personal trainer that was nearby my home for a reasonable price. I was very pleasantly surprised. His approach to training is what I really needed. I have been training at Body by Laron since May. I train at least twice a week and use the information he sends regarding nutrition and fitness. I have seen tremendous results, but more importantly I feel good mentally as well as physically. Unlike other trainers he is intentional, invested in your goals even when you don't see it. Not only have I lost weight and inches, the lessons I have learned about myself as added value to who I am as a person which is a result of my training with Laron!? I highly recommend that you check him out.

LaRon is an awesome personal trainer who is knowledgeable, encouraging and patient, but will challenge you to reach your full potential. I so appreciate that he explains what I’m doing, why and the results. He teaches how to properly use the equipment as well as how your body should be positioned when using the equipment. He is mindful of my physically issues and custom exercises based them. No one size fits all. I've seen improvement in my back and knees with less or no pain. The facility is clean, and the atmosphere is always welcoming.
I’m not a gym person or one that likes to work out, but once I get there, I leave thinking to myself I’m glad I went. On my off days he sends healthy eating suggestions, words of encouragement and exercises to do.
So grateful for LaRon! He's the BEST!

I've been coming to LaRon since May 2024. I wasn't a gym person at all before this but I've been pretty determined thus far. I was introduced to LaRon through a friend. So far, I've enjoyed the experience even on days where I think I can't do anymore. LaRon has been really supportive and teaching me the right way to use the equipment and do exercises. Things I never learned at other gyms. He's a good personal trainer for sure. I've made some small strides in my progress over the last 1.5 month. Weight loss and training is a journey for sure. I'd reccomend LaRon to my friends and have.

I hesitate to write a negative review about a Black-owned business because I want to see my people thrive. But in this case, the clientele is also Black and I don't want to see my people waste their money on what will likely be a frustrating experience.
To be fair, when LaRon is mentally and physically present, he's a good trainer. BUT, the issue is, he is unreliable. He is not consistently physically present or mentally present.
I did group training with him for about a month. Things started off fine. But quickly, they deteriorated. He began not showing up for our confirmed times--leaving groups of his clients to just make up our own workouts.
The first time he was a no-show, he told us he was in a car accident. My heart went out to him.
However, the following week he was a no-show again. After a half hour of me and other clients waiting on him, I texted him to ask if we were still on. He said he was in traffic and would be an hour late. (Mind you, that's an hour late to a 45-minute training session)
First off, if you're in traffic and you know you're not going make the appointment, why not communicate that to your clients ahead of time rather than leaving us sitting around waiting on you? Or at least communicate that to the other trainers in the gym so that they can relay the message to us. Why is it on the clients to track you down?
Secondly, he doesn't apologize for no-shows. He just says, "I'll be in later this afternoon" and it's on you, the client, to work around his schedule.
The last straw, we confirmed an 8am training session for the following day. The next morning, I get a text saying "Good morning, I won't be in the gym until noon today. I have a doctor's appointment." We had just confirmed the time 12 hours earlier. This doctor's appointment, if there was one, did not just manifest in the middle of the night. Again, there was no apology, or even an acknowledgement that he's functionally canceling our appointment and inconveniencing me once again. It's just on me to rearrange my day to work around his new schedule.
And even when you do get him physically there, he's sometimes mentally absent. During one of my last workout with him, he told me to do 300 reps of a particular exercise, and then left the gym to run errands. It was clear that he created the workout as busy work that would keep me occupied so that he had time to run to the store.
He's not cheap either. It's $300 for twelve 45-minute group sessions, so if you work out 3 times a week, that's $300 a month. For that kind of money, you'd expect a basic level of professionalism and, at least in my experience, you're not going to get that at this gym.
Working with him has been such a hassle that I've decided to forfeit my remaining sessions and find another gym. I encourage you to learn from my error and not waste your money.

I was really optimistic about working out & especially in front of others, ran into LaRon and he changed my mind about it all. I love his professionalism and the one on one trainings. I can be a bit stubborn at times but he hears none of that and pushes me to my full potential NO excuses! Stay Turned For My Transformation from BBL I’m definitely a work in progress! LaRon has been my trainer since July 2023. He is by far the best trainer that I’ve ever had. When I turned 60 recently, I knew that strength training would be the best form of exercise to ensure that my body would remain healthy and strong. LaRon’s techniques certainly have helped strengthen my muscles, slimming down by 1.5 dress sizes without stressing behind how much weight I’ve lost has been very motivating. He has been conscientious of my prior injuries while continuing to strengthen my body. Since working with him, my prior injuries have improved and in some cases, I’ve been pain free. His facility is welcoming, ALWAYS clean and provides an atmosphere where you ALWAYS feel motivate to work! He’s the best!!!

Working with Laron has been tough but it’s worth it because he brings great results. Two months in and I was down 1-3 inches on all my measurements. I've been going to Body by Laron consistently for 3 years now and my results are amazing. He's a trainer that cares and remind you to get that cardio in. Best trainer. I have so many degenerative joint issues. Was literally in pain daily with minimal if any relief from medication. My weight and overall pain made me barely want to move let alone workout. But working with LaRon, I leaned out, lost weight, got stronger, gained mobility in my joints and have a better self-image. I can walk without slumping, hip and knees don’t hurt like they did before. Losing the weight and strengthening my muscles have helped tremendously! I worked with several trainers before but I just bulked up rather than leaning and really focusing on rehab.He focuses on form, the small details to eliminate injuries. He is always upbeat and pleasant. So glad I made the choice to train with LaRon.
