As a plus-size woman, finding a fitness studio where I feel comfortable and welcomed can be challenging, but Body has been a game-changer for me! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and encouragement. This studio truly embraces all body types and creates an inclusive, judgment-free zone that makes working out a pleasure.
Their classes are fantastic, offering a perfect mix of challenge and fun. The instructors are incredibly supportive and skilled at meeting each person where they are in their abilities, ensuring that everyone feels confident and empowered. I never once felt out of place or self-conscious here, which is a rare and wonderful feeling for me in a fitness setting.
The studio is clean, spacious, and fully equipped for a great workout. The sense of community and acceptance is palpable, making it a place where I genuinely look forward to coming back to. If you're looking for a fitness center that celebrates all body types and offers a welcoming, comfortable environment, I highly recommend Body of Bloomington. It's a true haven for anyone seeking a positive and uplifting fitness experience!

Coolest owner of an even cooler studio!
Iβve taken a few classes here, and Iβve loved every single one of them. The owner is a kind and funny person that you gotta love to be around. The classes are challenging (in a good way) and they force you to learn more about yourself and your own abilities. It is the only studio of its kind in this town, and itβs the best!

I'm currently training with the owner, Kyli, privately to work on regaining and increasing my flexibility and mobility and have been having an incredible experience. She's extremely knowledgeable, kind, and compassionate in her approach to dealing with what can is a sensitive topic for me for a number of reasons. Her extensive training shows in the customization she's put into the training program targeting my concerns as well as providing relief to areas I hadn't realized were exacerbating the issues. I experience relief from pain and increased mobility after each session and have noticed an improvement in flexibility after just a few sessions.
I've also had the opportunity to take a few other classes at Body and appreciate the welcoming and inclusive environment that Kyli and her instructors foster. I felt welcomed from day one which is an incredible feat when taking a class that for many folks is taking a big step outside their comfort zone. I cannot recommend the classes or instructors at Body of Bloomington highly enough.

Iβve never liked working out, especially going to group classes, before Body. I started going weekly in 2021, and now that Iβm able to attend more classes, take up to 8 classes a week. I look forward to going yo the studio. I love the instructors, the atmosphere, the other people in the classes. I am in way better shape now and am way more confident about my body. A complete 180 from last year. Iβm also willingly waking up l 4:45 am to head to the studio for 5:30am classes. Iβm a new person! Thank you Kyli and those that make Body such a safe and comfortable place.

I would give zero for the owner, when I registered for the classes in the web site they said they have a makeup policy in they would give u the chance to replace the class u missed and because I have a busy schedule I considered that perfect for me, and when I had to miss a class and went to ask about there policy, surprise,surprise the owner said there is a mistake in the website and there is no makeup classes what so ever, she was arrogant, dismissive ,and didn't even care to stop walking around to give me decent conversation, she admitted that she is wrong by not updating the web site but she won't take responsibility of her mistake! Now that she have my money I can't do anything but I will not do business here anymore.

Took intro to pole class in 2020. Amazing instructor and friendly learning environment. Couldnβt continue with classes due to sciatica, but when I fully manage that issue, Iβm excited to enroll again! Highly recommend.

Amazing! Just had my first experience at Body of Bloomington. Took an intro to pole class, and it was awesome. I had so much fun and already feel like my confidence is boosted. The instructor was great and super friendly. She did a good job of breaking things down for us beginners but also offered more advanced techniques for those wanting to experiment a little more.

I've been working out at Body since 2013, and it is my favorite studio! The owner and instructors are kind and professional, and the workouts are effective. I didn't think barre would be that hard, but squatting while on your toes is tough! Ky always keeps the workouts interesting and fun! Highly recommend this place.

This place is AMAZING! I have been going for about a year and for the first time ever FITNESS IS FUN!! The knowledgeable instructors are so fun and welcoming and they meet you right where you are in your fitness journey. Kyli and her staff make you feel like family, while providing excellent instruction in a very professional manner. The wide array of classes offered ensures there is something that will fit everyone's needs. I love the annual membership because I can go to any or all of the classes!! Such personalized instruction you can't get at a big impersonal gym. Love this place!!

Body of Bloomington is the best studio I have found in the area! Tara and all of the other instructors are fantastic and somehow always hit the best blend of exercises for each class. It's never exactly the same class and is never boring. The other members in each class are supportive and overall it is a wonderful and supportive environment where taking the time to work out but have fun is celebrated. They offer occasional challenges and perks around holidays that help keep it interesting and you're always guaranteed to walk out feeling great about yourself. Instructors remember your name and the ladies you see regularly in class become the best kind of work out buddies along the way. You will get out of this class what you put into it. If you think the class wasn't challenging enough, then you did not push yourself hard enough. All of the instructors are happy to help you achieve your goals and cater to everyone's individual level of difficulty.

I'm the sort of person who basically has to be tricked or forced into exercising, so the class structure at Body is wonderful for helping me keep in shape. If you're like me and walking into a gym with just machines and free weights overwhelms you with decision paralysis, this is the place for you.
If you have any injuries or special needs to work around, the instructors are deft at adapting on the fly to help you modify exercises to get what you need, especially the owner, Tara.
They also often have special events! For example, I spent Valentine's Day laughing with my spouse while we attempted couples yoga; the height difference was a challenge, but we had fun! Also appreciate that the instructor chose not to be heteronormative (referring to one partner as "the man/woman" and instead used inclusive, gender neutral language ("person A/B") to lead the class. During the warmer months, Tara runs a beer and yoga class at White Oak Brewing.
There are lots of other classes besides yoga, too, and I encourage you to try something new! That's how I found a love for both pole and barre. After over half a decade at Body, I don't think I could ever go back to a regular gym membership again.
