Welcome to your favorite workout happy hour! BODYBAR Pilates offers a modern take on Reformer Pilates in Fulton Market, Chicago, IL. Each 40- to 50-minute BODYBAR class on the Reformer offers a high-intensity, low-impact workout that is great for improving flexibility, muscle strength, posture, and overall health. BODYBAR Pilates Fulton Market is a clean, organized location with great friendly staff that was obvious within the first class. I waited until my 50th class to be able to comment on my personal growth. I had a horse injury that left me with permanent right-sided sciatic pain and later on, an emergency abdominal surgery. Together, these injuries left me with an extremely weak core and something as basic as laying down to sleep or getting up in the mornings required a significant amount of effort… let alone the mental toll of chronic pain. Pilates has helped me isolate my left vs right and working the smaller deep muscles without being able to compensate like I was unknowingly doing during standard heavy weight lifting. I can stand or lay without pain after YEARS. I feel strong, I feel happy and the gift that is the ability to have range of movement is priceless. There are different types of classes- reformer, classic, mixed equipment, etc. While the pace may change, all will require balance and learning breathing techniques which all the instructors (11) I’ve had so far are great at cueing. While I am thankful for Pilates, I’m very thankful for developing a little morning weekend BODYBAR crew that have helped me looked forward to the next class and added to my consistency.

-some comments share concerns for how loud the music is. The instructors are VERY open to adjusting the music or upping their mic. There are several tough workouts that music is the only thing keeping you going but if it’s too much, don’t be afraid to ask the instructor to lower it a little.

Conveniently located reformer Pilates studio offering a mix of classes at schedule-friendly times lead by a variety of instructors. An inclusive and body-positive space. First class is free, and the monthly pass packs are worth the price tag. Medium class sizes (up to 14) create an atmosphere that’s not at all competitive nor too intimate; instructors still take the time to correct your form so you get the most out of each movement. It’s easy to find an instructor who fits your vibe. Come here once and you’ll want to come back a lot.

I ❤️ Evelyn. This was my 1st class in over 4 years and I enjoyed the class. Evelyn was engaging and she made me feel very comfortable. She guided me with my shoulder posture and form. I loved the was way she walked around the entire class. She was ONE person with eyes on EVERYONE. With me being a beginner, she made class relaxing for me.

Luke was so informative with adjustments and keeping the energy uplifted. Luke has become my favorite instructor after just one session. So kind and attentive to all the students. He even started class by asking each person how their body felt and what they could do to make class more comfortable. 10/10 experience. I have already rebooked for his class next week and look forward to many more sessions. The class was intense enough that I walked away like my time was worth it! …and I even took breaks when needed because he offered more advanced options, allowing students to take full advantage of class. It’s a good thing the intro class was free. I have been doing Pilates since I was a teenager to help strengthen my core after cancer treatment. This was my first time taking a class at a chain. Bodybar was very unlike other Pilates classes I’ve taken in the past, which had focused on alignment, breath, recovery, and slow considered movement. At Bodybar, it was more like a generic fast paced exercise class with music so loud you could hardly hear the instructor. I would recommend Bodybar if you’re looking to break a sweat, but not if you are looking to recover from injury (or avoid it).

Went to my first class today and was very happy with it I signed up for monthly classes! Evelyn was welcoming and helpful. They did have a creep problem that I heard is reoccurring….Hopefully that gets taken care of. Either way I recommend!

The front desk staff greets you with a smile as soon as you walk in and are always eager to help. The instructors are consistently friendly and provide helpful corrections whenever needed. I've been going to BodyBar Fulton Market for a little over a month now and I really enjoy it! It's a very clean facility and the front desk staff are friendly. I had never done reformer pilates prior to joining, so I was very intimidated before my first class. The instructors are great at going over the terminology and how the reformer works. There are also a few different types of classes like Classic (slower paced, stretching involved) versus Reformer (quick pace, fast transitions). I've enjoyed the majority of the instructors I've had. I would recommend BodyBar for anyone interested in a pilates studio!

I love Andrea’s Reformer class! It is consistently challenging and she always switches it up to keep things fresh and challenging. I love how we often focus on balance, which forces me to engage my whole body. Bodybar pilates offers the best Pilates classes! I’ve taken classes from a few instructors and they’re all wonderful. I take about 3-4 classes per week and each class has different movements, which keeps it interesting and fun. I usually have no issue finding an open class that works for my schedule. The studio is beautiful, and the staff and instructors are always friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this studio!!
