For those who love diverse and challenging workouts, knowledgeable and passionate coaches, and an empowering community, I cannot recommend Bolt enough!

I stumbled into this gym when my friend and I were trying out fitness classes around the neighborhood. After trying 4-5 places, we ultimately decided on Bolt. The HIIT classes on Mondays and Thursdays are a must. It is so invigorating and fun! Steph and Keenan keep the program interesting and challenging while providing an efficient structure to improve your strength, mobility and endurance. They also provide many modifications to suit everyone's needs and explain complex combination movements very clearly. The sports performance class on Wednesdays is also very fun and applicable to real life, focusing on moves that help improve things like sprinting, hand-eye coordination, and flexibility. Coming here made me fall in love with movement, and while a part of me knows I’m gonna be exhausted, the other part of me can’t wait to tackle the challenge and have some fun!

Absolutely love Bolt Fitness Chicago! 💪 I signed up for their 2-week trial and ended up sticking around. The Strength & Conditioning classes are 🔥—great mix of Olympic lifts, powerlifting, and conditioning. Coaches are top-notch, super knowledgeable, and make sure you’re moving safely. Tried something new today and whew… it was no joke!
I took the No Boys Allowed Lift Club class and let me tell you… it was NOT for the weak! The energy was crazy good, the three instructors were super motivating, and the music kept us all hyped. Loved the vibe, great people, clean space, and an overall empowering experience.

Be careful with this place, it’s addicting !!! I started with the HIIT classes on Saturday morning and absolutely loved it. The coaches come up with some amazing workouts and do a great job of not only encouraging you but teaching you the moves. Most recently i did the Olympic Weight Lifting with James. He gave great hands on advice despite having a whole class to teach.

Took my first strength training class here yesterday! I absolutely loved the work out and community vibe at this place. Steph was my coach and even though there were a lot of people in class, she paid attention to each person and made sure to help me make modifications and use weights appropriate for my level. I couldn't recommend BOLT more highly, especially if your focus is on strength training. The gym is spacious, well laid out, with ample (new) equipment, a top-notch team and a really fantastic community of members. A few months ago I reached out to Bolt Fitness and began training with John Hiltibran. John put together a personalized training program for me based on my goals, and I can tell that I’m getting better every time we are in the gym training. He helps push me to do things I didn’t think I could do before. I would definitely recommend John for anyone interested in working with a personal trainer.

The staff is amazing! The group fitness classes are a great mix of HIIT, cardio, and strength. I really enjoy being able to view the workouts ahead of time and the trainers are great at helping to improve form. All of the equipment is brand new and the gym is always super clean!

To the owners of Bolt, I came to your gym today, and was refused entrance because of your policy of only accepting people with a vaccine card. This practice is not only discriminatory, but only allowing people inside your gym who show proof of vaccination does nothing to prevent covid transmission. The vaccines do not prevent transmission nor infection. I have had covid 3 times in the last 6 months, while unvaccinated. I got infected all 3 times from 3 different vaccinated individuals. Vaccinated people are transmitting covid at the same rates as anyone else. Continuing this discriminatory practice is illogical, because vaccines do not stop transmission or infection. You can have only vaccinated people inside your gym, and one of them as covid, then you ALL will still get infected. It is illogical to not allow unvaccinated people into your establishment.

But that's cool. I'm glad I know now. Because I also don't want to financially support an establishment that practices discrimination for half of Chicago's population who chose to not get vaccinated.

The well-designed workouts, space, and instructors at Bolt are incredible. While the gym has only been open for a few weeks, I’m yet to see the same workout and genuinely look forward to class because it’s fun (no lie - fun fitness!). Clearly the owners, Steph and Ryan, are experts and are passionate about helping others achieve their goals. The workouts are catered to all levels and it seems everyone feels comfortable, no matter where you are in your fitness journey.
Bolt is located in the Ravenswood neighborhood and it fits right in with a nice sense of community - the members are super friendly and welcoming. Also, it doesn’t hurt that the space is spacious, clean, and gorgeous. I highly recommend giving Bolt a try - you won’t regret it!

This is an incredible gym. I went to my first class yesterday and the space was beautiful. There is plenty of room to workout so you never feel cramped, yet there was still plenty of equipment for whatever you might want to do. All the equipment was top notch quality, and the entire gym was spotlessly clean. The schedules are flexible, making it easy to make a class whether you’re a morning, afternoon, or evening person. There is also an amazing open gym space if you don’t want to take classes.

Perhaps my favorite part of all was the energy of the staff. The coaches were clearly excited to be there and more than happy to help with any questions I had. During the actual class, they were extremely attentive, allowing me to feel comfortable and safe during each exercise. They also did an incredible job of explaining the why and how for each exercise, as well as addressing any other questions you may have. Overall, this was the best gym experience I have personally had and would highly recommend checking it out to anyone that may be considering.
