Was scolded by what who I think was a manager for wearing crocs to the gym. I have a lot of feet problems, and someone suggested to try working out in my socks, and wearing a wider shoe. I haven’t had sore feet since I started this practice. I have worked out at several gyms where this has never been a problem, I also called another local gym who would be happy to have our business, without scolding me for my shoe choice. I don’t mind being asked to do something if it’s mandatory at the gym, but being walked up to and told “those aren’t gym shoes, next time wear gym shoes” in a aggressive tone. I’m a paying customer. We will be canceling our membership and going to the gym down the highway. You lost 2 customers.

My husband and I went to the gym the other day.
We were out of town and came back and was ready to put In the work.
To our surprise IT CLOSED!!!
CFX is there. Our fob doesn’t work.
We didn’t get no email, no update about the changes.
Find it funny how they changed so fast and didn’t inform people who were signing up about the changes.
My husband was charged for his month and the gym isn’t even open !

The gym is ok if you need to work out late.
I cancelled my membership since they switched Avolve. They been taking the monthly payment since then. Today I had the vibe by the manager that I will not get my money back when it was the managers mistake. I returned everything and signed the cancellation form so I don’t see why I have to give my money to these people for one of their employees mistakes. I have LA FITNESS and RENEGADE memberships as well and I have never had this problem before with them.

Just started coming here, major advantage is the 24/7 hours. I workout early morning due to my work and home schedule so it’s nice to show up at any hour. Gym is clean and organized as well.

Buyer beware. I kept my membership during COVID and didn't even go in (obviously)...thought I was supporting a small business a little bit. The day I cancelled my membership an annual fee was charged to my bank account...hmm what a coincidence. Called the owner and he refused to pull down the charge.

A great gym! The owner, trainer, and staff are extremely knowledgable, friendly, and helpful. They are very COVID concious, with spacing between machines, sanitation, and mask protocols.

Only complaint is that the mirrors make me look fat! (Just kidding... It's a joke.) 😂

I signed my son up at this gym, he goes almost daily with a few of his buddies. I thought it was great they allow teens in there (they're 15-17), I'm glad they're working out and doing something healthy for themselves. When I went in to sign him up the guy (I think owner) was very nice and got us all signed up and also mentioned he also works with sports activity training with the kids. I thought that was nice he mentioned that and takes the extra effort to help the kids out. The boys love the gym, they go everyday and are starting to eat healthy. As a parent I'm loving it!

I love Avolve for a plethora of reasons.
Most being that John and the rest of the staff are always VERY kind and helpful in any ways possible. Another, of the many examples, being that they are always the most communicative and professional gym I have had a membership at (And I have had many). Worst customer service I have ever experienced. It has taken four months and multiple refunds to simply cancel my membership. They have now overdrawn my bank account by deducting fees AGAIN for an account that was cancelled months ago and refuse to reimburse the overdraft fee or communicate with me further, or even simply supply me with a corporate contact to report the unacceptable situation I have been dealing with for WAY to long to just be rid of them.

Everyone at the gym are outgoing and super friendly! :) When I walk inside and greeted, I feel very welcomed! I have been going here for a while now and plan to continue for a long time! Most gyms, are gross, smelly, and often the employees look at you and judge every pound you are wanting to loose. Here at, Avolve is the FIRST gym to ever make me feel comfortable in my own skin! Provide helpful tips to ensure I do not injure myself while working out, the environment is very fresh and clean! 10/10 recommend coming to this gym! See ya there! :)

I’ve been a member here since 2015 and have been through many changes in these short 5 years. This place used to be called workout 24/7 and had a revolving door of management and staff. No one seemed to be able to stay long enough to make any noticeable change to the gym and atmosphere here. That has all changed now with John! Avolve fitness has gotten a brand new makeover. The locker rooms have gotten a much needed update, along with the equipment and much more! When you now walk into Avolve fitness, there is a new vibe! You can tell john and his staff are here to stay as they listen to their members and take customer service serious! I very rarely will take time to write reviews but this place deserves the recognition. Those who know me understand I take my health and fitness very serious. I’m greatful to have this gem of a gym with reasonably priced memberships close to home. Stop by and check this place out! Not only is the staff welcoming, so are the members! Proud to call this place my new home gym!

I went to the Wauconda, IL location today to find a post on the window that they are no longer staffing the location due to the virus outbreak. They stated their number 1 concern was the safety of their employees! Not once did they mention the customers coming and going and their safety. Who's cleaning the facility??????????????

Love working out with the trainer Chris! Amazing trainer and really knows his stuff. Gym is always kept up. Remodel really changed my perspective of the gym around and very happy with the results. I love using the hydromassage and tanning beds. Bathrooms look a lot nicer as well

I can confirm that every complaint that has been posted is true. What really set me off was the mens bathroom. Not only is it cold af in there, by the urinal they put a rubber mat and on top of the rubber mat is what looks like a car carpeted floormat on top of the rubber mat. The carpet mat was SOAKED! And the rubber mat looks like it hadnt been touched EVER. Effing disgusting!!!! Where's the follow up posts from the staff regarding our grievances????? That's right... You know what you're NOT doing and you have no excuse for it.

Gross!!! DON'T GO!!! They don't clean the bathrooms! When my husband and I have approached the staff about it, they straightup lie and say they do everyday. I have been out of town for a week and the same bandaid is still in the shower and had been already for two days before I left. I have pics dated Dec. 29th and now Jan.6th. This is not ok! Don't give this place you're money!

I cancelled my membership in october and I thought it will be fine. I got confirmation email and all. The November charged December charged and way more then my normal fee was. I called them multiple time to clear this out. No response. Had to call my cc billing to file a dispute. Don't sign up!!!

Not happy about this ongoing construction at the Wauconda location. They claim bathrooms/locker rooms will be closed for a week. It's been almost 3 weeks and it's still closed. The machines are way too close to each other.

Really disappointed. I joined when it was a workout anytime and loved it. I hadn't been able to get back since the change due to an injury, and tonight was the first time I tried to go. My old key fob doesn't scan me in anymore (I was never warned about this, or sent a new one), but someone was nice enough to scan me in (even though they shouldn't have) only for me to find out the locker rooms are under renovation and there is no alternative. As I work out before and after work this doesn't work me. Apparently there are facilities available during staffed hours but most of my trips are during unstaffed hours. With no word on when the work will be done, it seems I will have to find a new gym with better customer service.
