If you want to strive to be the best version of yourself this is the gym. I started with a messed up foot and i got the personal attention I needed to regain my balance and strength. I learned a ton about weight training and the classes were challenging, innovative and lots of fun. I will continue to recommend this gym to anyone.

I’ve been training with Edgar for 8 years. I was active with rollerblading and body weight exercises when starting, but had no prior weight training experience. I learned I had very little idea my capability to push myself physically and was able to do more than I thought possible. Edgar taught me that! I was around 110 pounds starting and have gained about 20 pounds in muscle. I went from not being able to do a pull up to being able to do over 10 in a row. I started from deadlifting 95 pounds to 295 pounds.

His small group classes are very reasonably priced especially being you’re basically getting personal training. All his clients are great, and having a few other people to train with helps you push yourself and do it together. Edgar holds you accountable for holding yourself accountable! He’s a wonderful example of discipline and accountability! You get what you put in and when you give it your all, he gives you his all. On top of how much he puts in with his heart, he’s equally knowledgeable in anatomy, physiology, kinesiology and nutrition. He’s extremely well versed in different styles of strength training and programming. His knowledge and experience will get you the results you want if you put in the effort!

Another gem in the far west burbs! I’ve steadily been attending the group fitness classes at Out of Body Fitness for the past 9 months. Prior to, I was on a workout hiatus for several years due to autoimmune issues that had robbed me of both my physical and mental stamina. I had made numerous attempts to find my groove again, everything from home workouts, classes at the local big box gym and so much in between. My body was not responding in the way that it had in the past and I was close to accepting this as my new reality.

On a whim, I signed up for the 6-week challenge and have been going STRONG ever since! Edgar is knowledgeable, dedicated and always listening. Most importantly he could see what I was losing sight of and got me back on track. What I love about Out of Body Fitness is the evolving programming, flexible class schedule, and intimate class size that have the feel of one-on-one but still have the camaraderie of group. I am back and it feels so good!

I've been coming here for over two years. I was overweight and out of shape and had tried memberships at other gyms and other self-imposed exercise regimens. Nothing worked until I joined Out of Body Fitness. Edgar holds me accountable for showing up and for putting in my max effort. He drives my improvement by encouraging me to try harder if he knows I can do more. He also keeps me safe by telling me I'm done when I get carried away and try to bench more than I really can. Edgar keeps watch over us and makes sure we are doing the exercises correctly and always reminds us to "keep it moving." The other people in the gym are great and keep it fun and motivational. I look forward to going to each workout so I can hang out with the crew. Being part of the club also keeps me coming back and trying harder. Out of Body Fitness has made me healthier and happier.

This place is perfect for someone who needs help pushing themselves while working out. Edgar takes the time to show you individually how to do his workouts. He walks around and corrects you until you are doing the workouts correct. Price is reasonable compared to any other gym in the area. There are a few different prices depending on how often you want to work out. I recommend Out of Body Fitness to any of my friends living in the area.
