Good facility. 1-piece of equipment which is the most popular seems to always be down. People who work there are excellent. Very friendly and do their best to accommodate.

The customer service at this location is atrocious. I called to cancel a membership on the 16th of the month and was told I had to come in to cancel. I was never told that I needed to cancel by a certain date to not be charged for the next month. I went in on the 22nd of the month and was told that I had to cancel by the 20th otherwise I would be charged for the next month. They need 10 days notice to cancel? When I went to register again a few months later, I was not able to do so because they said I had a balance due. When I asked to speak to someone about it, I was told someone would call me back. No one ever did.

Edit again..2025 they have alleviated the issue have a new trainer there Shawn who is amazing ...EDIT.. as of 11/14/2023 after 20 years of living across the street and being a member there. I have always gave this ymca 5 stars until this last year it has really went down hill..the new trainer lady they have who brings her class of 6 to 7 people into the gym and takes up the whole gym.and she's rude about it, even though they have a whole room for that.they come in there and occupy half the gym to do situps and block the one and only flat bench they have. .i was willing to deal with all that but now they got all new equipment amd its all leg stuff .they now have one bench and 4 squatracks for that ladies class..after 20 years I'm done I now workout somewhere else ..if youre not interested in
trying to workout around a class that has therir own room. And gym with all leg machines and noting for upper body..this is the gym for you..ill check back in a year or two see if they got new staff amd equipment by then (Always great staff and members, clean facility .5 β)

Just straight up tired of having zero access to the pool. This is the best spot in the world to have membership for the pool if you want to just pay for nothing. If a single weather event as extreme as sunset happens? Rest of the place is open, but not the indoor pool, and there will be no notice given online, no sign put up, you'll just be locked out. If you have a job and might want to swim after work? Screw you, they got paid by the swim team so the pool will be closed 4 days a week. Since everyone knows lifeguards can't watch a pool after 7pm, it's also closed then, so no winding down in the evening with a nice swim.

I honestly love the location and staff, but I'm sick of the way they cater to the swim team above and beyond their own members. Staff have been nice and helpful when the kids ran amok, but I can't exactly complain that they're just obnoxious in general. Additionally, not even ONE LANE in the pool reserved for members during swim practice? If the team is so big they dominate the whole place like this several times a week, they should have their own pool. I only even come here to swim and can't even do that, so I don't know why I bother keeping a membership.

If you're a busy person or work a lot and have to rely on evenings or weekends, probably not the place for you. Open a short time on Sundays and close it down on the weekends for swim meets. Only a couple of stair mills so you may have to wait awhile to use a specific piece of equipment. Staff is nice at least.

Love the staff here, always very helpful. The people that work in the childcare are the best! We went to another local Y while the fitness center was getting improvements and we couldnβt wait to get back to this location because they do such a great job. I am always recommending the YMCA to people now.

This is the best YMCA in the vicinity if you want to swim laps. Unlike other locations, in my experience, they donβt have an excessive amount of classes that restrict member access to the pool.

I love all the youth programs the Y has to offer. They have been so helpful during the pandemic - not only providing childcare while I work out but also providing school's out camp on the day kids are out of school. My son also loves the sports programs including basketball and soccer and swim lessons! I enjoy the workout classes, open gym time and the workout room. Even during the remodel, all of the staff continued to support the members. I love being a member of the CMT Y!

The CMT YMCA has a great friendly feel. It is small enough to retain the charm that you want in an organization like the Y compared to other larger institutions in the area. You see the same staff working there every time you go in which is comforting and makes you feel secure. They do a great job with their swim team and weight training programs.

Everything about this place I love. It's clean, very clean, the people work there are all very helpful & they great you by name of course. They are professional that way almost make you feel like home/family. They communicate clear enough for me. As my English is my second language :)

The facility hires front desk people who are friendly and very helpful. The instructors are prepared for the classes. They show humor and patience and encourage the participants to do their best. Also the facility itself has had renovations to improve safety and it's general appeal.

This seems like it would be a nice place to work. The Gen X staff have generally been very friendly and polite every time I come in during the morning. I'm glad the Y takes safety seriously. I was a bit skeptical at first, but it is definitely possible to work out (not in pool) with a mask. Also when I've gone, it has been mostly older adults who are following the rules and when I went to the Y this past evening there was a mix of ages (older adults, gen X, millennials, and Gen Z) all complying with the rules while working out. Occasionally, someone is annoying and talks loudly on the phone while working out (Something that was much worse with other young people at the Vadalabene Center at SIUE) bit that happens a lot less because the average age of patrons at the Y are older (not that there's anything wrong with that).Overall, I am soooo happy to be a patron and I have this one more safer spot to add to my list of work, grocery store, and home.

The morning front desk were not the most pleasant with me, but the evening team are pretty friendly. I definitely switched my entire routine to not go in the morning simply because I wasn't find of the judgemental feel from the morning front desk. I am very used to older people not being friendly with me (I have visible tattoos and a young person)and it's not always irritating and sad when it happens.

Nice pool. I love being able to reserve a lap lane. The facility is very clean and updated. Very friendly staff, too. Even though I rated it a 5, it's worth mentioning the shower stalls are small and the lockers are a little rusty. Also, I think the $7/month option to keep your own locker is a little steep. $5 would be nice. Overall, I'm glad I joined and recommend it!

The CMTY is the best! I mostly do the water aerobics classes and silver sneakers land classes. I get a workout that is just right for me, since the classes are geared for everyone to work at their own level. The instructors are terrific and all the staff are helpful and friendly. I highly recommend CMTY!

Love the MaryvilleY!! The staff are friendly and outgoing. I utilize the pool classes the most. Every class is fun, challenging, and geared towards each individuals ability. The instructors are great. I never thought I could stay so committed to exercise as I have with my Y membership. Not only have I found exercise to be fun...I have made great friends too! Thank you Maryville Y!

I just love this YMCA in Maryville. Its the only one in the region that has the stair master, my favorite machine. And also the staff is so nice. My favorite part also is the daycare which allows me to enjoy the different classes and exercise machines. The pool is always clean and as well as the locker rooms I could write a book this us the best Y ever. The gym is my childrenβs playground is soo big lol

Everyone is friendly. The engagement specialist, Betsy, was so helpful in showing me all the machines in the fitness center! And everything has always been clean and orderly. Also I appreciate they have child care. My only comment would be maybe the child care should be open for more hours to facilitate parentsβ busy schedules. Overall, I love this Y!

Last three times I have come to use your facilities, I was not able to do to an event that was not listed on your schedule. If you have open swim or gym on your schedule, you need to make sure that those who pay for a membership or able to use your facilities during the scheduled time. When calling for a manager after we left, we were not put through, due to them being to busy to speak with us. I am appalled by how poorly ran this facility is!

The summer swim lessons were real bad. The teenage girl "teaching" was checking time constantly like she wanted it to be over and ignoring most of the students most of the time. The lifeguard was always on the phone. It made me feel like I needed to be in a swimsuit because nobody else would save my kid if something went wrong.

Facilities here are adequate. My main complaint is we had a family emergency and extreme financial hardship. Because of the nature of our family emergency I was not able to cancel our account for approx 6 weeks. I could have cancelled much earlier, but they force you to cancel IN PERSON. We are now stuck with a bill for $120 for two months which we did not use the facilities at all. Staff showed zero compassion. Never again. Buyer beware!!
