My dad, sister and I have been going to CFB for the past 7+ years. It is a wonderful environment, the coaches are exceptional and the workouts can be tailored to your needs. It is extremely clean and we have gained extensive knowledge about proper technique while pushing ourselves to the limit. Highly recommend!

Dropped in for 24.3 and could not have dreamt up a better place to do the final workout of the open! Everyone was so friendly and welcoming you would have thought I had been a member myself for the last 10 years. Facilities were clean, equipment in great shape, lots of rig options, and the space is HUGE compared to what it looks like from the outside! Would recommend this to anyone looking for a local box or a drop-in. I'll definitely be back when I'm back in town.

Crossfit Beverly is a great place to get a great workout! The gym is clean, the staff is friendly, and the sense of community makes you feel like a part of the family. No matter what the programmed workout is the coaches can help tailor or modify it to meet your needs...hence the great workout I mentioned!

I have been coming to CFB for over 4 years, from the crossfit kids classes all the way to the regular classes in my senior year in high school. It will be heart breaking when I need to leave for college. The community as well as he crazy workouts are the only reason I keep coming back. As life gets almost too busy, I know my favorite smiling people will always be there.
The program is always fresh and new. I feel like I’m getting stronger every week. John (the owner) is very passionate about his gym. The gym is always super clean and he’s always working on new ideas to improve the gym. Crossfit has changed my life, I became a better runner, swimmer, and a teammate. I’m so lucky to be apart of something so life changing. I could not recommend CFB enough!

Crossfit Beverly is a great local gym. The idea of Crossfit was intimidating six months ago when I picked up a barbell for the first time. After completing the intro to Crossfit/On-Ramp, the knowledgeable coaches at Crossfit Beverly continue to support my training in small classes with individualized workouts. Friendly, supportive, atmosphere.

This place has changed my life for the better! I was super intimidated and hesitant to start working out again (especially at a crossfit) after being out of shape for 10+ years. Kelly and John met me where I was at in my fitness journey and tailored a personal training program just for me. Most importantly, they have motivated me and kept me going when I wanted to quit. If you're looking to find a new place to work out and find a better you, give this place a try! The gym is clean and everyone in the gym is welcoming.

The best gym atmosphere you can find, hands down. Great coaches and very welcoming members. All walks of life workout here and are all accepted with open arms. Workouts can be scaled so no matter your fitness level they will work with you to make sure you are getting a great workout that won’t get you hurt. They offer early morning classes that are perfect for before work. It’s a great place, highly recommend checking them out.

I love CFB! I had been training doing HIIT type classes for about 9 months before I decided for my particular body type, drive, and interests I was going to take the plunge and make a BIG change and try crossfit! Well I’m hooked! & I don’t plan on ever looking back. Sure, it can be intimidating- but you can modify ANY movement based on your skill level- and everyone is soo supportive! It’s truly a great environment! Love this gym! I look forward to many more amazing years learning and growing my mental and physical toughness and tenacity here!

Such a great gym to drop in on. As a CF L2 and Pregnancy & Postpartum Coach, I have pretty high standards for gyms, and this one did not disappoint. The programming was fantastic- even covered the often neglected topic of mobility. Large, beautiful, clean space with plenty of equipment. Very social class with enthusiastic and educated coaching. I highly recommend this gym and coaches to anyone visiting the area or beginning their fitness journey into CrossFit. If you are looking to become a coach or gym owner, stop by CrossFit Beverly—This is the standard.

Most reviews are members describing their journey while a member at CrossFit Beverly. I would like to share my results as a current member of 8+ yrs.
When I walk into CrossFit Beverly, I feel part of a community that each member supports each other. Each member relates. We workout together in a group setting. I, along with each member challenge myself with the workouts as we challenge and support each other throughout our class. I, along with all the members, have created an atmosphere where no one leaves class until the last family member is done. Its a sense of something really inspiring to come back for more when everyone is cheering and supporting a member to reach their challenges and accomplished challenges..... finishing a workout or achieving a personal goal. I would have never would have progressed with my workouts if it wasn't for their support.
I believe John (the owner), pound for pound, has the best strength programming of all the CrossFit Gyms south of the Chicago River. Due to his programming, I have increased my strength and conditioning. I am better at my professional job as a result. I move differently with efficiency in my everyday normal life. I can tell you with 100% confidence that I could not do 100 pull ups before joining CrossFit Beverly. I have reached personal milestones as such while still progressing with other ones. I have learned how to workout efficiently and safely while making great strides.
I have realized that each of us are investments. I have invested in myself. Physical fitness was first then nutrition. CrossFit Beverly introduced me to a new healthy lifestyle which has benefitted in my total weight loss of 30lbs. CrossFit Beverly has supported me and my maintained weight loss.
At the end of each class I know I have given my best effort and left my personal pressures/problems/stressers/drama on the gym floor. Walking out of class feels like a fresh restart. We all have busy lives. Its a very good feeling knowing your workout and strength training is already determined for you. You just show up and do the workout that's prescribed to you for the day. This keeps your body constantly guessing and alleviates plateau effects.
I hear people say when I get more in shape, I will join CrossFit. Well, in my past 8+ years of an amazing experiences at CrossFit Beverly, I sometimes feel that I am not always ready for the workout(s). But I believe we (CrossFitters) all feel the same way.
Don't be mad about the results you didn't get from the work you didn't do! Make change and invest into yourself!

I was honestly very intimidated to try CrossFit at first. But I’m thrilled and so thankful I did. Everyone at CrossFit Beverly is extremely supportive. The owner John and the awesome coaches have gone out of their way to work with me and make sure my form is solid. Every day is a different structured program and there are classes throughout the week (and on Saturdays!) to work with my crazy schedule at the hospital. The environment is clean, tidy and most importantly safe. CrossFit Beverly is a quality gym that I highly recommend to all my friends & family!!

After relocating, I joined CF Beverly because they offered a 5am class. I work downtown and much prefer to workout in the morning (Chicago afternoon heat? No thank you!). Everyone I have met is welcoming and keeps you honest when you don't show up to class!
Workouts are the varied and challenging with coaches able to help in modifying weight and movements if needed, so make sure you speak up! If you're looking for a gym (and second family) to help you meet your fitness goals, you should stop in.
I'll see you at 5am for a run!

I had the opportunity to drop in the Crossfit Beverly for a few days. I have been doing crossfit in Denver for the past couple of years and I want to say that this gym was one of the best that I have dropped into. They have great coaching with a lot of attention to form and to the individual athletes in the class, a clean facility, and great members. I felt very welcome by everyone in the classes. If you're on the Southside I highly recommend that you check out Crossfit Beverly! I know I'll be back!
