The coaching staff is excellent! Coaches Colleen, Steph, and Adam (among others) are all very knowledgeable and will make sure you’re keeping the right form through all the incredibly challenging workouts. The equipment is top tier (Rogue) and the facility is kept clean. Awesome place!

I am one of the newbies and I just love it here, the environment is motivating as well as the community. They want you to be confident as well as working on being the best versions of yourself. I have been a member at CrossFit Plainfield for several years now. In my adult life this is the only fitness plan that I have ever stayed with consistently.The coaches are fantastic and the class times have always worked with my schedule. Just like all of the other five star reviews... Great facility, great team of people! I work with Coach Colleen for personal training. I probably wouldn't push myself hard enough working out on my own, but she is there encouraging me every time I want to say, I can't! In just three months I gained 8lbs of muscle and lost 3% body fat. I couldn't have done that on my own. Even if traditional group exercise isn't for you, get into a healthier lifestyle with personal training at CrossFit Plainfield!

I joined five months ago and have seen incredible results. I feel more confident, energized, and my mindset about exercising has completely changed. Every week I surprise myself with what I’m capable to do now. It’s a great, supportive community no matter what level of fitness you’re at. There are appropriate adjustments and accommodations for people with injuries or people at different comfort levels. It’s a safe space and I never feel judgement from coaches or members. There is also a great Teens Program that I enrolled my 13 year old brother in. It’s awesome that we get to work on our fitness and health together. It’s a great form of accountability for the both of us. I can’t recommend this place enough!

I feel very welcomed here. Crossfit isn't just for the athlete. It's for anyone who wants to push themselves, with a coach, and a group. To reach your individual goal. It feels like a family. Scott and his team are positive, knowledgeable, and they check in. I've always wanted a workout partner. And this isn't like going to a standard gym and taking a class. It's much more personal than that. The facility is clean. The bathrooms are clean. And for a place that has u sweating. It even smells good. Nothing but nice things to say about it.

I am so glad I signed up last month. I am really out of shape and was so nervous about making a fool out of myself there. No worries! My experiences are all positive. I have a coach (Michelle) who is amazing. She modifies my workouts ( I will be 76 next month) and is extremely patient and encouraging. Thank you to the owner, Scott, and Sandy for their great communication in person and via the internet, and to the other welcoming members. I have heard from others how pleased they are with their coaches as well. CFG is more than a gym. It’s an esteem-building family encouraging its members to be healthy, happy and confident. My body still needs a LOT of work but I am no longer ashamed to show how out of shape I am! I show up. I try my best… and I have lost eight pounds. I guess you can say I am healthier, happier and more confident.

Came here a few years ago because I was concerned about my sons health habits. Remember that day very well- when Coach Scott said to me “that’s great, but what about you?”. And he was right! One of the best decisions I have ever made. Very supportive environment for all, regardless of what level your at. Coaches are awesome!! Enjoy working out with all the other members- everyone encourages one another. Workouts always challenging and diverse. If committed, no doubt you will feel better physically and mentally!! Been a member for 6 years. Through injuries and aging, this has been a place where there’s always improvement, because only when you stop, do you fail. The support system and personal attention is not like at any other gym. The relationships that have been formed and nurtured make it a welcome refuge from the daily chaos of life. It was kinda my wife's idea to check out crossfit. I was already pretty active and didn't "need" a gym membership or community to get myself to workout. But I'm willing to try anything once. I'm really glad I did. Started over a year ago now and not looking back.Working out at home, I just don't push myself as hard as i do at CFP. I avoided movements that I struggled with. Not anymore. I'm stronger and more fit than I was a year ago. Come for the constantly varied workouts but stay for the fantastic community of members. CFP has solid coaching and a welcoming environment to help you push forward. In short, it's daily physical and mental therapy. Typically the best part of my day.

Going to a gym has always been a little scary. However, walking in my fears were quickly washed away. Everyone here is really encouraging. No matter what your fitness level, the staff and the members will support you throughout the class. The coaches are extremely well-informed and are more than willing to breakdown an exercise for you. The coaches are walking around encouraging everyone, as well as checking your form and making sure you don’t accidentally injure yourself. If there’s an exercise you can’t do, they will give you a modification that you can do instead.

CrossFit Plainfield has been great for our players and teams at the Go Pro Baseball Organization! Sandy and Scott have been great to plan training sessions and programs to meet our players individual needs for their age and positions. Even with our young 9 year old players, Sandy made sure that they were well supervised and knew how to do all of the workouts for the day. We constantly get parents telling us how much their player enjoyed the workouts, and we are always asked when the next session will start. After this season, we are definitely sending players back to CrossFit Plainfield because their development has skyrocketed since starting training with them!

Crossfit Plainfield has set me up for success in many aspects of life. I used to just go to regular gyms where I could casually lift or do cardio, never truly testing my capabilities. All types are welcome here. You don’t need to know jack about crossfit. The people you workout with are phenomenal. Push you through tough workouts and help you understand what makes no sense. You’ll feel welcome in no time. Coaches are specific in their skill, put form above all else, and (safely) push you. They talk to you and care about your development and wellbeing. CFP offers free workshops and classes to develop skills you need to improve.
CrossFit teens classes are pretty cheap, and teach foundational skills which translate to sports. More importantly, they care about your kids. Like school, but for fitness.

I joined CrossFit Plainfield in June this year to help with my Ocr Training. I love coming here a few times each weekend the coaches are great. The workouts are challenging and fun at the same time. Great environment for anyone who is a beginner to the advanced. They do fun events at the gym throughout the year to get everyone together and everyone their is extremely helpful. Scott the owner & one of the coaches at the gym has been very helpful with me learning form and pushing me to do better and get stronger. I like coming to a group class because I workout harder than I would at regular chain gym and benefits from it more. Highly recommend this place!

i first started Crossfit at another facility, but unfortunately, they closed up shortly after I started. I couldn't imagine any other place would have people that could take as good care of me and give me such individualized attention and instruction. How wrong I was! The coaches at CrossFit Plainfield picked up right from where the last coaches left off. They took me under their wings and made sure I did things right so i would not injure myself or others. They still do! The other members welcomed me with open arms and made me a part of their community, and are always encouraging. Everyone is helpful and fun and going there is always a good experience.

I have never liked to workout, I have never liked any gym or exercise program that I have tried. I joined Crossfit Plainfield in January 2018 after being urged by a friend, and I have to say I could not be happier!! I have known Scott and many of the coaches at Crossfit Plainfield for several years. You won't find a more knowledgeable gym owner/trainer anywhere. As a local physical medicine doctor I am exposed to many varying opinions on crossfit. I personally believe that crossfit gets unfairly singled out as dangerous. I know for a fact that any form of physical activity can be potentially dangerous if you have poor coaching. This is where Crossfit Plainfield shines! This is why I have referred many patients to Scott and his team. I know that I can trust them to not only coach proper form and mechanics, but they will also energize and inspire my patients to continue to take care of themselves long after I have treated them at my office. If you have been hesitant about trying crossfit, don't. Give Scott and his team a try and you will not regret it. Keep up the good work guys!!

There are modified moves to get started, the coaches are attentive to your proper form & your classmates will cheer you on. Class zooms by with the Warm-Up, Strength then WOD. I always leave feeling glad I got my workout in for the day!!

As far as fitness goes, after 7 months of going here I have made ridiculous, almost unbelievable gains. I started noticing serious changes after just the first month of training with coaches Scott and Elizabeth, not to mention the entire CFP crew. This was not expected as I spent many years as a typical LA Fitness meat head kind of guy.
Just as good as the workouts and training are the people. Everybody here encourages you to work hard and do your best. I noticed right away that personal achievements are made amongst other members who genuinely want you to do better and be better all the time.
In my personal experience, the first few months were tough but after sticking with it I started feeling better and better after every workout. The biggest benefit for me was a huge improvement in recovery time. I can put myself through hell but when it's over I feel pretty much fine within 5-10 minutes. This has also helped with friends and family who like to be active. I am truly grateful to have found this place :)
