Each class will be different every time you come to our Roscoe Village Crosstown Fitness. Workouts incorporate strength and endurance exercises to challenge you in new ways daily. Our trainers design each class to include interval cardiovascular routines, mobility and strength training. Open to all fitness levels, these classes puts first-timers and fitness die-hards side by side to make progress at their own level together in one community. We offer over 200 weekly group fitness classes, personal training, and more.

So great! The instructor was very knowledgeable, the workout was plan efficiently and effectively; no-over crowding (like Orange Theory) and is genuinely a gym for those who have some experience working out and are serious about individual progress. The best experience i ever had at a gym. Today was my first day. The love I felt here was amazing. The staff greeted me was the best. I had been to a gym in awhile, my body was sore before I went to bed.

Crosstown is my favorite gym I've ever tried / belonged to! I love that it's circuit training with a more intense strength focus. Plus the PT session included with the membership is huge.

I have been taking classes at Crosstown Fitness for almost a year and thoroughly enjoy them! The coaches are motivating and ensure you are completing exercises with proper form to prevent injuries. Staff is friendly. There are also different types of classes to take to cater to your fitness goals (total body vs strength) or personal training to get 1:1 time. Would definitely recommend this place.

Crosstown Roscoe Village has been a lifesaver in getting me motivated to go back to the gym. The staff is always very friendly and professional as well as accommodating to certain needs and restrictions. The workouts are always interesting and keep you on your toes. Took a full body strength interval with Coach Caullen and it was fantastic. He does a great job at explaining the stations, pushing you to move heavier weight, and offering modifications. Definitely take a class with him! This gym is compact but has everything you need, and the front desk staff is super friendly and kind. CTF is a winner.

Although I usually work out at my “home studio” in West Loop, I’ve been venturing up to Roscoe for the Thursday night classes and to see coaches Alyssa and Drew (who are killing it!) FWIW there is always easy street parking, and I love that this location has racks for a strength focus if you want to work on squats, etc. But most of all, it’s the people who make this gym a community and I can’t say enough about how the staff and members are so welcoming and inclusive. If you’re looking for a good sweat, a fun group of people, or just to try something new, CTF is the place for you!

I always leave feeling a great full body workout was achieved, I love the pace and each class you never know what to expect with the specific exercises and music that each instructor changes up each week to keep you from getting bored or feeling routine. This gym is one of my favorite things about Roscoe Village! The coaches are enthusiastic, professional, and each class is filled with good music, and a lot of sweat! They hold a number of classes offered throughout the week, so that you can balance HIIT with lifting classes. They often host happy hours, different competitions, and ways to compete against yourself. Everyone at this place is there for the same reason, to better themselves. It’s easily become a regular part of my routine each day & it truly feels like a family.

I came to Crosstown Fitness from out of town on a day pass. It was the first time that I've done a group fitness hit class since pre-COVID and it was a killer workout. Melissa was an amazing instructor and the whole team was so welcoming. I took each exercise at my own pace and still felt successful with the rest of the class. I wish I lived in Chicago because this would be my gym!

THIS is how you do a gym. It's no-fuss, no ego. The music is bangin. No one is too good for anything - the one thing we have in common is to challenge ourselves. The instructors balance teaching with encouragement, and some have even sent a personalized email after class to show support for my efforts. Wow?!
There's a strong sense of community, but without pressure or it feeling intimidating. It's very *come as you are and be how you like*. You can take class with a friend and work through each of the together, or ride solo with your head down and grind it out the whole way through. It doesn't matter! I love that the way these classes are designed, I can work independently yet still feel like I'm part of something bigger going on throughout the room.
It feels like I've finally found my new spot again (and I've been looking for years since moving downtown and leaving a studio in the burbs that was very special to me). Happy to be here!!!!!!!
Also PS pricing feels like a steal because you get 1 personal training/mo, recovery compression boots sessions and when they aren't offering class, they have open gym + self+guided workouts

Crosstown Fitness is a great organization and a wonderful place for those newer to a workout regime and regular gym visits (like me!) and more experienced folks. I joined in March and have felt myself progressing in my abilities and strength training knowledge, as well as my overall confidence. The unlimited membership is well worth it if you make an effort to go a few times per week, and also take advantage of all the fun events like run club, personal training sessions, outdoor workouts, and ocassional races! Shout out to my fav instructors-Liu, Steph, Chandler, Amy, and Jaime! All of these coaches are so smart, willing to adapt any exercise to injuries or concerns, and always there to give you the push and challenge when needed!

I joined this gym on a whim over a year ago. The trainers are truly committed to your health and wellness, planning workouts that are as manageable as they can be difficult - allowing the ultra-fit, first timers, and everyone in between to feel comfortable working out. The classes "fly" by such that you will work your butt off, but it won't feel overwhelming. It's a great community of both staff and members. Everyone is very, very nice and encouraging. If you're hesitant to start at a gym, or don't feel particularly motivated on a given day for class - your laziness will disappear when you walk in the door. Just show up, and the folks at CTF will take care of the rest. In particular, Aly, Amy, Liu, and Ryan are superstars. Membership at this gym has improved my physical fitness, mental health, and self-confidence.

Overall, a really positive experience. Staff was friendly and helpful, facilities were clean, trainer was thorough and her workout was great. A little crowded for the space as it’s on the smaller side and there’s a lot packed in there. Maybe a few less people per class would be helpful but it didn’t take away from the experience or the workout.

Total Body is by far the best HIIT class in the city. Combining weight lifting, cardio, and plyometric training, I cannot recommend this class enough. I have been doing HIIT for last 3 three years but this is by far the best HIIT workout I have ever tried hands down! Trainers are amazing and love their energy and help push you to your limits. I love the fact that every trainer has their own version or style of workout and no two workouts are same. Facility is extremely clean and well maintained. Group excercises have higher satisfaction rates and I would highly recommend everyone to try Crosstown Fitness to achieve their goals.

Let's get one thing straight-I HATE working out-I mean come one, if it were fun it would be called a funout hence it being called a WORKout. My husband and I joined over a month ago and I have to say-LOVE IT! I warn you-Crosstown Fitness is addictive! We started going 2 days a week and we are now up to 5 days a week. We would go everyday but our schedules do not allow it. The trainersat the Lakeview/Northside CTF are AWESOME! We are older, 52 and 53 and my husband's mobility is not as good as mine. Our (yes our-they belong to us) trainers are with him every step of the way modifying the FUNout (yes, it is fun). HIGHLY recommend joining!!

I am a former college athlete that REALLY let myself get far away from my former fitness. I’ve been a Big Gym member for years. I always thought I’d hate group fitness, but in reality I almost never went to my Big Gym to work out solo. I needed to make a change, and gave CTF a try due to its great location under the Paulina brown line.
I’m so impressed. It’s SUPER hard, especially being out of shape. But the coaches are caring and training can be modified. They only care about you doing your best, no matter what that is. The sessions are tough but you will feel great afterwards! Dynamic, “fun,” and smart. It’s not like CrossFit- all movements are safe and targeted.
I feel compelled to actually go because of the sign up system (and making the price well worth it). Their app makes it easy and I don’t ever want to skip.
I also appreciate how nice the employees and coaches are. Ryan in particular continues to check in on me and encourage me.

Classes are always challenging no matter your fitness level. They are fun, the formats keep you on your toes, and gradually you start to learn things you never thought possible (barbell and KB variations, different cardio patterns). That's obviously great. But I think the best part is the community. It is SO welcoming and warm for everyone and anyone. I've worked at a studio that is unwelcoming and unfriendly and honestly, downright judgemental. I've now run into old clients of mine at CTF who just LOVE the CTF community - and are seeing results they never thought possible.

I just been to 5 classes and I really like them, every day all exercises are different and always the coaches are there in case you have doubts or if they see your doing something wrong they tell you! It’s a great way to do exercises and I’m sure I’m going to see the changes I want soon.

I love my morning routine at Cross Town Fitness in Roscoe Village... high energy teachers, nice facilities, and conveniently located right under the Paulina brown stop making it very quick and easy to shower and hop on the L to work! This class pushes me to be better, and stronger!

CTF-Roscoe was the first gym I went to with my ClassPass subscription 9 months ago. From my first HIIT workout here , I have always felt welcome and left with a great workout. If it was not for my positive first experience at CTF, I would have been hesitant to continue my ClassPass / group training workouts -- but the consistent challenge and motivating classes, and energetic instructors keep me going back. I’ve been a runner for ages, but discovered interval training only recently. It’s improved my overall strength and running performance, and it’s a satisfying way to add variety and challenge to my fitness routine. I appreciate the thoughtful, balanced workouts the CTF instructors craft. Caullen in particular is excellent at working with beginners and explaining the small tweaks in form needed to get the most out of an exercise and avoid injury. The studio can get a little crowded at peak times but there are plenty of class options to find a time that works.

They keep you motivated throughout the entire class! Each class workout is different and really pushes you to do all you can. I have already started to notice results. I started going to CTF via ClassPass and love it! I've taken 5 classes so far, and every one has been completely different. They're extremely challenging, BUT I feel like a rock star when I'm finished. This coupled with the motivating environment sold me, so I recently decided to sign up for a CTF membership. Amy was a great instructor, correcting me when I needed help with something and paying attention to the class even when there were a lot of people there. If you're looking for something that is a mix between HIIT, Crossfit and Strength Training, CTF is the place for you. I constantly find myself pushed out of my comfort zone to try new things and lift heavier weights. The trainers are super knowledgeable and able to give you in-the-moment feedback on form. The new Roscoe Village location is really nice -- showers are clean and spacious, they open the huge windows on rainy days and the equipment is in good shape!

Great classes at CTF in Roscoe! Definitely my favorite place for classes out of the many different ones I have gone to including Shred, Orange Theory, and X Sport. Liu is THE BEST instructor my girlfriend and I have ever had over the years. All the instructors at CTF are very nice and helpful, but Liu also makes the whole class laugh, is very personable, and is very attentive to all the people in his classes to ensure they are using proper form, keeping each of us motivated, working hard, smiling, and more. They also have teacher appreciation classes, have great offers for individual classes if you don't like doing monthly offers, and they are in Class Pass, which is how we first found this place!

The instructors are knowledgeable and readily suggest alternatives (which is awesome cuz I have some lagging injuries,) and the administration is always on point. Added bonus for all you parents out there: inexpensive daycare is available some hours during the week and always on weekends (!!!!), so there's no excuse!
