Here’s a bright idea- how about you update your hours of operation on Google and on your answering machine to the actual correct hours!!👍🏼 Not going to be pleased next time this happens again. I decide to go workout at 8:00 pm on a Friday because you guys say you are open on Google and over the phone until 10:00 pm on Friday’s, only to find out you close at 8:00 pm!! For anyone considering a membership here don’t get one. Staff is incompetent and all you’ll see in the locker room is 70 year olds walking around with no clothing

I experienced extremely poor customer service registering my children for a swimming class. The woman taking my info immediately yelled to her coworkers that there was a dad who didn’t know the schedule and then acted inconvenienced that she had had to tell me what times were still available. She asked what level the kids were. I said beginners. She snapped at me saying she knew they were beginners. I started spelling my son’s name and she yelled at me that she knew how to spell it. She yelled at me three times what kind of credit card I was using after I said I was getting it. This employee acted like someone who hated their job and hated their customers.

Amenities are okay, but membership takes hours for 1 staff to come around. The front desk is rude and slow, 3 staff standing around, chatting and doing nothing while kept everyone waiting. One of the front desk staff made the guest check in process exceptionally long with a certain look and made an effort on lecturing me what is an ID. I never knew attitude is part of the the check in process. Not sure if she's not being professionally or just simply having a bad day and decided to pour her emotions out while serving customers. I have seen better and friendlier staffs in this place. And if you would like to improve, focus on staff training and provide quality service in this and next quarter as a goal.

The gym is okay, a little outdated staff is great, but one thing ruins all of that. The pickle ball. I just want to play basketball but can't until 8pm because there's pickleball everywhere, on all four sides of the courts. I'm just playing basketball and I am rudely kicked off the court by the pickleballers. They need to make a court for only pickleball. Also they staff at the front desk lost my membership card. Membership not worth 100.

The Physical Therapists here are excellent! I was impressed when I had my intake evaluation with Jocile for her extensive experience, knowledge base, listening skills & positive energy. I continue to be pleased with the work she is doing to help me recover & rehab after back-to-back recent knee replacement surgeries.
When Jocile was away for a couple of days, I also found Magnus to be patient, encouraging, motivating & positive with useful advice for how to think about my journey forward.
Overall a very positive experience!

Nice gym, great equipment.
My 2 cons hence the 2 stars is that the front desk staff for when you give them your membership card is always so rude and in a bad mood. They are not welcoming. They are the first faces we see when we enter and they are rude.
Secondly, this gym besides the equipment is very outdated. They are updating slowing but a lot of the things have not been updated for years.

The women at the front desk on Saturday and Sunday mornings unfriendly and have terrible customer service, it's really pathetic. You speak to them and they don't speak back, though its suppose to be that they speak to you first and then we speak back, that's proper customer service. Edward Fitness needs to really be mindful of who they hire, otherwise these mean people will make you look bad. I'm sure it's because of my skintone. We are all God's children. I pay too much money to be dealing with immature people. Not speaking for all but there are definitely certain ones that don't give good customer service and they know who they are. I expected better from Edward Fitness.

Don’t like the fact that you pay to use the facility but adults constantly abuse the children’s pool policy. When they are competent swimmers and there are lanes free in the adult they should not be allowed into the children’s pool stopping children from using the facility. This needs to be policed better. Also families should not take more than 1 lane. They need a fairness policy as we all pay.

This review is strictly for the swimming class (Children's Aquatic). If I can give them a zero or a negative star for the rating, I will provide them with it.
I have three children, and they attended the center's swimming class for several years. Luckily, my son was the last one who had just finished his lesson (he had been in the 5B level class for the previous ten weeks.
The 5B primary instructor's name is Miss Lores, and she is a horrible instructor and is disqualified from teaching children's classes. She was so shameful and had no respect for any children, parents, and guardians who sent their children to learn how to swim correctly.
My son was stressed out when she taught classes, and she never paid attention to children and never went into the water to correct the posture or kids' mistakes. She was too busy to talk with other instructors instead of focusing and teaching her class. During the class, she sat at the table and talked to other instructors who were focusing on their class children.
I got mad and pissed off at her behavior and unprofessionalism toward children. I got a business card from the front desk about the Children's Aquatic Supervisor Judy Jameson, and my wife wrote an email regarding this unsatisfied behavior. Still, Ms. Jameson did not bother to reply and just ignored it.
There is one male instructor named Rick (I don't know his last name), and he is fantastic and loves to send my kid to learn from him. Unfortunately, this facility won't let us know who will teach what class level is, making it scary to send our kids. If I can pick the instructor for my kids, I will choose Rick for my children, but the center does not allow me to pick at all, even after registering; you never know who will be the instructor for your kids until the class starts.
Based on my observation, I can even be a swimming instructor if they allow me to teach what Miss Lores did to children. All she did was verbally and reluctantly give instructions to kids who were young and needed to train with patience when you teach them, but she didn't do it at all.
As I mentioned above, I'm happy to finish the class with her, and we won't send our kids to learn from this facility anymore. Still, I will continue to find a good place with a dedicated instructor to take a lesson to improve my kid's swimming skills.
If you want to screw your kid to send this swimming class and learn nothing from them, feel free to do it.
Ms. Lores and Judy Jameson, shame on both of you, and good luck with your unprofessionalism.

The closing of the EEI Fitness Center in Naperville has greatly impacted the Woodridge location. Members come to exercise not sit around waiting for access to a certain piece of equipment. A lot of the equipment is outdated and the Physical Therapy Staff is not concerned about giving their patients the attention needed. Dues are being raised and they should consider reopening the closed facility before they lose more members and ease the burden on the now overcrowded Woodridge location.

I am contacting you today because I wanted to address some of my concerns about needed facility updates and to see if there are any scheduled future updates. I am specifically concerned about the men's bathroom. In the men’s bathroom the carpet is heavily stained and peers not to have been cleaned in several years. The carpet is also becoming a trip hazard by peeling away from the floor and the base of the lockers. As a result of it peeling away from the floor is an excessive amount of dirt, dust, and debris piling up into those exposed areas. There is drywall damage where repairs have been puttied but has not been painted for several months. Baseboard trim is being held together by electrical tape. There is heavy dust accumulated on the ceiling near HVAC vents and returns. The sink soap dispensers are the old Shampoo dispensers from the showers, which are labeled “shampoo.” There are even lotion dispensers labeled with black sharpie markers. All these small issues lead to my concern about the health and upkeep of the facility, members, and employees. I was trying to be optimistic about things changing after the Naperville location closed. You would think all the Wellness Center money whether it was split prior or separate would now go into one facility to make improvements.

Closing down the Second/Hospital location was an absolutely horrific decision.
Nice thing about a membership here was the dual locations and overall price of the membership kept the gyms relatively discreet and less busy than your big LA fitness, Anytime fitness etc…
Now that it’s condensed into this one location it’s lost all of its allure.
Might as well pay way less for a different and bigger gym because it’s just not worth it anymore.

This used to be a great place. With the closing of the Naperville location the aqua classes are overcrowded. 30 women exiting classes at the same time to utilize 14 shower stalls. They can't hire enough instructors to offer an appropriate number of classes. The water temperature is COLD - it is kept that way for the swim team. No consideration for members in aqua classes. Tried reaching out to membership with some questions and they fail to respond. Very limited evening classes unless you want to pay extra for classes.
They are currently closing areas of the facility (interfering with member utilization of spaces) to prepare new marketing video campaign/rebranding. They are more interested in getting new member and not retaining existing members.
FYI - seemed like they might actually care by posting the response below. I did email them as they requested. Never heard back from them. Sent two emails to membership - no response from them either. Very unprofessional.

I have had two physical therapy sessions at Edward Elmhurst Seven Bridges; one for each of my two hip replacements.
My first six week session was with Lesley Peterson. She explained what she was going to do to regain strength and mobility to my right hip/leg. To this end she guided me through various exercises, from light and easy working up to strenuous yet manageable. Lesley was polite, courteous and professional. She demonstrated acute knowledge of what to do and what to avoid so as not to cause injury while exercising. I was beyond happy with her efforts on my behalf.
I am currently at a midpoint with my second therapy session caused by my left hip replacement. Jim K. is working with me to build up muscle strength, coordination and agility. Jim explains the muscle groups that need work and discusses options that I can utilize both in the facility as well as at home.
Knowing that both hips have been replaced within the last four months, Jim works the most recent (left side) but interjects some work to maintain a good level of proficiency in both hips/legs. This degree of concern and dedication is greatly appreciated. Jim is professional and personable so that therapy sessions are looked forward to and the time passes very quickly.

I find myself at this location because the EEHFC Naperville location closed down. Overall, this is a nice facility and the staff is friendly. They have a nice kids' area including camps at spring and summer breaks, which I would imagine my son will utilize. My issue is the babysitting hours are not very convenient. They close at 6:30 p.m. as opposed to 7 p.m. at the Naperville location, close at noon on Saturdays, and closed entirely on Sunday. One day while I was touring the facility, I spoke with the supervisor of the kids area. She was very friendly and helpful, and said they are looking at extending hours to accommodate the extra kids that may be transferring over. That was several weeks ago and there has been no update. I called last week to find out when she would know something as the time has come to switch to that location, but my phone call was not returned. I followed up with Steve, the director, and left a message stating I would appreciate a return phone call to provide an update. That was several days ago and I still have not heard back. I would still like to hear what is the update and if they don't know yet, when do they expect to know?
I understand the announcement regarding the closure of the Naperville facility was rather sudden so it takes time to put a plan in place, but it has been a month now. What is the plan going forward to extend the hours for the kids area, including staying open past 6:30 p.m., extending hours on Saturday, and/or opening on Sunday? For the parents who work during the day, the Naperville location closing at 7 p.m. already made it tight. Closing at 6:30 p.m. makes it next to impossible to use that service.

So far I really like this place. The staff is super friendly and very helpful. It's overall nice inside. Amenities are great. The place is kinda run in a really old school fashion. Lots of options tho they're lacking some machines I would think are staples in any gym/health club... For example I have yet to find a calf machine. Not that I can't accomplish what I need to with what's available it's just an example. So far though I'm very happy with the facility.
Update:
Month 3 and nothing has changed. Still really like the place.

I enjoy this place and like most of the staff that I interact with. However, at times the staff can be rude, especially when they want you to get out of the gym at closing time. The other issue with this gym is that some of the equipment never gets fixed. I have given up writing complaints. It does not take too much to walk around and make sure everything is working. Another thing that boggles my mind is why the Cardio machines get turned off 10-15 minutes before close. When I tell the Fitness person on duty about something not working, I am told that he is too low on the totem pole to get anything done.
There are other much less expensive options around. I am considering LA Fitness. They have longer hours and I am hoping that the machines are in good order.

Our two kids had been attending Edward-Elmhurst Health & Fitness Center Seven Bridges' Children’s Aquatics programs for years. They both went from level 2 through levels 3, 4, 5a, 5b and reached Tsunami level. They have been attending Tsunami level together for a few sessions. All went well, they like their coaches and friends they made. Then they had a very traumatic experience when we signed them up for a session coached by Judy Jameson. Judy Jameson had different disciplinary rules for her session which my kids were not used to. But rather than clarifying her rules, she chose to embarrass and hostile escalate the situation with my kids. After my kids told me about the confrontation, I sent Judy Jameson an email asking for a in person discussion about what happened, Judy only agreed to talk over the phone and over the phone she offered a very different story. I believe she was lying. I filed a request on EEHealth's web site, the reason was to complain about Judy Jameson's behavior at Children’s Aquatics, however I never got a response. That's not a good practice when EE Health has a web site to request support and help, but ignores requests about complaints towards a manager/coach. This is especially troublesome when the program is Children’s Aquatics where parents are not allowed in the pool area during the class. In my opinion Judy Jameson is not suitable as a coach for Children. The way Judy interacts with students bothers me and then EE Health does not offer me a way to talk with a manager who oversees the program. When I can not reach a oversight manager for a Children’s Aquatics program, that itself concerns me. We decided to leave the program after years of going there, here I would like to share our experience with other parents who's sending their kids to the program or who's considering that.

Clean, well-equipped, lots of services and classes for those who enjoy them. But the true jewel and reason for a 5-star rating is Nancy at the front desk. Nancy provides that welcome early every morning she’s present, a kind word, a memory of your preferred locker, and an extra dose of encouragement when she can tell you aren’t feeling it that day. She has that deep, exquisite warmth that comes only from those rare people who are genuinely kind. Every place that serves people needs a Nancy at the front end.

Great facility!!!! My personal reason for going their was the multiple pools! If you do any type triathlon training it’s nice to know there’s ALMOST always an open lane!!!! They have everything, multiple basketball courses, running track, and a solid weight room! They also have tons of classes. To be honest I would give them 5 stars but I feel like the Some of the classes are too expensive since the cost of the membership is more than any other facility in the area. Don’t get me wrong they have lots of classes that are $25 for members $45 for non, but some of them go up to $300. I know it’s all subject to the person but…
I don’t go their for the classes so it doesn’t effect me.😃 You do get to use the Naperville location also which is great! I definitely recommend it but selfishly I don’t want all of you going because you’ll make it busy for me! Lmao!!!!!!!
