This gym used to be great. Their equipment is outdated, broken, & abused. Their cardio equipment & quite frankly all of their equipment is from the prior business who opened over 15+ years ago. If there was a new gym in the area, Id switch in a heartbeat. Upgrade your equipment because its pathetic how old it is.

The gym looked clean and had nice equipment. I called to inquire about a membership and no one answered. I decided to drive out and stop in, the person who was working was working out (I did not know at the time). I was left standing at the front desk for 5 minutes when I decided to call the number and then was given some help. I did not join since my health insurance does not cover 24 hour access, obviously I could have avoided wasting my time if someone would answer the phone or acknowledged me waiting at the desk.

Great gym. Trainers are always walking around helping or cleaning. Blayne specifically has helped me tweak my routine numerous times. Great environment!

Would give it 0 stars but I can’t. Billing keeps trying to charge me even tho I haven’t been a member since it was the megaplex, something is seriously off here and I would hesitate to give them any payment information as they will continue to charge you even after you have cancelled the membership. Poor customer service and I haven’t been in this building for over 10 years. I can only imagine the new ownership has not made it very welcoming. I’ve tried calling and no one ever answers the phone but foreign billing department and they are no help. Thanks for stealing money for years. I’m probably not the only one

I've been a member for approximately one year at Fitness Premier in Homer Glen.

This location has such a wide variety of Hammer strength equipment, vast options for legs, plenty of cardio as well!

I've yet to try the group training, which other members absolutely enjoy.

Im always left impressed by the consistency of how organized and clean this location is. The GM and his staff are constantly interacting with members, greeting everyone, answering any questions members have.

My favorite is the aqua massage table, and the spacious saunas in each locker room!

Blayne and his crew are the best of the best. Always making the environment friendly and fun for everyone to enjoy. They have so many great ammenities and did I mention 24 hour access? What more could you need? Oh that's right, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu! They even have that! What a place! In the great words of Nate Dogg, "Nobody does it better."

This is a gym where I always feel welcome. Small community atmosphere where you know everyone and everybody knows you.
I’ve been coming here since 2015. It’s small, not crowded, convenient location with 24/7 access and have everything you need for a good workout. Friendly staff, offering stretch sessions, have sauna, waterbed, theraguns, etc. I love, love Team training classes here, I’m addicted to them. Highly recommend!

I’ve been going to fitness premier for almost a year now. My experience has been great. The staff members are nothing but helpful. The difference between this gym and many others is the fact that the staff tries to remember everyone by name. They are always greeting members as they walk in.

I just want to give a shout out to Blayne. I have know him since he came to Homer Glen. I try to come to this gym every day. He is always so pleasant and nice to everyone. My husband and I just signed up last week with Blaine. It was such a joyful experience. He really dove into our health history and the struggles I am having with my knee and john's balance. Blaine helped us build a plan to get back to our old selves. We have come here every day since. My knee is feeling much better and we're excited to keep coming and explore all that they have to offer.

Been at this gym for 12 years and probably gonna be here till I retire on a beach. A gym could have all the equipment in the world but if that gym doesn't have good people and good energy what’s it really worth? Fitness Premier has all the equipment you need to get the job done and then some + good people and good energy throughout the gym every day. The staff is caring and has always been there for me with any of my requests. The gym is clean, in a great location, and the best in the homer glen area (I know this from experience).

Gym is ok at late nights, any other time not really, other than that u can find a lot more gyms with a wider variety of machines elsewhere, nobody is really at the desk a lot of the time, if u go at a crowded time good luck getting on a machine that you want, 1 lat pull down 2 benches, 2 squat racks, 75$ cancellation fee plus some other stuff if u want to get out.

Below are updates of my experience here. I have been a member for about 10 years. The past few years it has gone down hill and members are starting to feel taken advantage of.

Late summer 2023: Someone I know left a negative review on google so they called during dinner on his personal cell phone to tell him that they canceled his membership and said they'd give it back when he takes the review down. This is juvenile behavior and I am glad my family and I no longer give them business. The Brazilian jujitsu moms are using equipment without a membership so that's why it's so crowded. I signed a contract and paid all of the excessive cancelation fees yet they just charged me AGAIN.

Summer 2023: I went to cancel and they charged me for the current month, the next two months, a yearly fee, and something else thats probably a cancelation fee. Guy at the desk was condescending when I was trying to cancel.

Early/mid summer 2023: broken equipment not getting fixed for example the sauna door doesn't close so it doesn't heat up in there. I feel that I am no longer getting my money's worth with only one or two very similar class types and broken equipment. Has always been extremely under staffed and hasn't gotten any better. No one answers the phone and most of the time no one is at the desk. This has only gotten worse.

2022:Keep raising me and everyone I know's membership prices without telling anyone. They say its because they keep switching owners. Becomes almost impossible to workout between 4-8 on week days. More crowded than a usual gym crowd around this time.

Late 2020/Early 2021: Came back after covid ready to start working out again. Figured they may need time to get their act together so I decided to give it time. It never happened. Promised more classes and never got them. I gave them a few years to do fix everything before deciding to leave. This gym was nostalgic and close to home but slowly became not worth it as they raised the price I could just go somewhere with working equipment and classes.

My experience here is and always has been wonderful. Blayne is my 13 year olds personal trainer. We originally started with the intention of power lifting and kind of a strength training thing. I couldn’t imagine the physical results would be as great as they are, but my love for this place has to do with how much Blayne has changed my daughter’s confidence and self esteem. He made ALL the difference in her and it’s rubbing off in every single aspect of her life. School, football, volleyball, etc. She has now branched off from her friends who are all getting into bad stuff, and is hanging out with a better group of people. Blayne is thoroughly invested in her success. As a mom, this means the world to me. My daughters dad passed away at a young age, so she’s lacking in the area of male influence. Make no mistake, he’s changed the course of her thinking with these fitness sessions which like i said, has changed every aspect of her life. The gym is also clean, and the equipment is nice. Here is a before and after picture. First is of her before training, and Second pic is of her and Blayne. She’s come so far even from this picture here. So I’ll post an updated picture soon.

Always understaffed and as a result customer service is terrible. The employees usually try very hard, but are stretched way too thin for the amount of members.

Between 3pm-7pm it is so crowded with highschoolers that most lifting equipment is unusable. OK if you go during non standard hours.

Edit: It was originally 2 stars, but they called me on my personal cellphone during dinner to ask if I would take the review down.

Edit 2: They cancelled my membership over this review and stated that they would only reinstate it if I took this review down. Incredibly unprofessional. Good riddence to this pathetic facility. The owner and managers should be ashamed.

I am usually not the first person to admit they were wrong about an impression and I’m not totally there yet about this place, but I can tell you that Fitness Premier Homer Glen has an excellent ambassador in their manager Kyle. When gym ownership changed my previous membership was not accepted as I was in a Senior sponsored BCBS program. To my dismay the individuals I spoke with were professional but unwilling to honor their own email which clearly stated that older members would be allowed to stay on with the new gym. They also did not call me back as promised to discuss options . I let them know that in a response to their ridiculous email asking me to return, unaware that they chased me out. Lo and behold I get a call from Kyle who was as cordial and understanding as he was professional. He was pleasant and agreed with my position and made every effort to assist me. His approach sold me on returning and I have. Now, as the gym goes there have been major improvements and it appears that a sound business plan is in place but they have their work cut out for them. As long as Kyle represents them I strongly believe that they will get there. Thank you again Kyle for stepping in and choosing members over the bottom line.

My whole family has been using this place for YEARS! Yeah it looks nice now. BUT There are no signs or anything stating the kind of cleaning products they are using. And they are using BLEACH! This is WRONG there IS so many other cleaning products they could be using thats a bit safer for everyone! instead it smells terrible who wants to work out smelling the high fumes of bleach the whole time! Not to mention has ruined clothing! They are ignorant and rude as an entire staff! This place desperate to make some money. No longer giving them business.

Spent months trying to get ahold of them to schedule field time for my lacrosse team. A month from when I first reached out to them I got a call back. That then took a few weeks to hear back from the "right guy". He then gave me his number to text him.i texted him twice and he never got hack to me. Very unprofessional and a waste of time.

Been a member for years and so want to like this place. Recent Ownership changes have been a miserable experience. No hot water heater for several weeks! How do you have a health club with no hot water?! Ice cold showers like a college dorm. Then you wonder; how do they clean the place without hot water?! The place is so 3rd rate. Worst is - no one seems to care. Come on - it's a hot water heater.
Equpment is tired and when it breaks it stays broke. They did finally change the drinking water filter which you need because the water vending machine is now gone.
If you're looking for a good health club in this area.....look around.

Update...over a month now without hot water - Insane! Lower level under construction and and moldy smell permeates throughout. I've had enough so I went to the desk to cancel my membership. Clerk says "Our system isn't linked so I can't process your cancellation . She hands me a card and says call this number. I suggested she call them in my presence and we could get it done right away. She tells me the phones aren't working either. WHAT!?
