My favorite gym, Amanda is the coolest person in the building ngl, would be my personal trainer if I could afford that lol. Gym is CLEAN, equipment... they pretty much have it all. Oh and the recovery room is fricking sweet. Massage chairs, cyro bed, a sauna, massage guns... besides the wave of obnoxious high-school "can you even lift bro's" who are annoying and loud... places is great :)

I really like this facility however I never see people disinfecting the facility. Yes it’s up to those who work out but it would be so nice to see the facility cleaned at some point. It smells in here 90% of the time and it just feels very unsanitary. This is common for all fitness premier locations. Please discuss this with the team. The smell has got to go.

This was the gym I chose to workout at while in town for work from Indianapolis. My first visit Amanda gave me a full facility tour and was always helpful whenever I couldn’t find a piece of equipment that I was use to. Every time I returned Amanda was extremely friendly and we had great conversation. The facility is very clean and has top notch machines and weights. Wellness Spa was an added surprise. I cannot say enough about my two weeks going to this gem of a gym!

Great and knowledgeable staff. Fitness Members are friendly but keep to themselves, and are helpful, and do acknowledge your presence, at least in the mid- morning. Some are there before work and are busy and in their zone. You do have to wipe down any use of fitness machines and massage chairs. Not everyone does. But that's my issue. Lol

It has been a long time since I have been back in a gym and everyone at the Manteno FP has been great!! Very supportive, friendly and helpful. The extra TEAM classes are a bit pricey, but they are a great workout!!

Staff can be rude but are mostly nice, depends. The facility is very clean. I like to go after work but I like to go in the back room and utilize that space but they don’t allow me to go there because of a class. They also don’t allow me
To go in the other room so it only allows me to go by the treadmills or by the weight lifting. Which is unfortunate because I pay monthly and should be able to use what I need when I need it.

Membership rules for not allowing a family member use your own membership. Even though you are paying for it. As well as not adding a plus one option for memberships to pay for since any guest have to pay $5 every time when going to the gym. Then there was an employee that wasn't working at the time give a false threat to a customer even though they could have just been respectful and politely ask them to leave the premise since the customer wasn't even being rude in the first place.

As a Real Estate agent, I have a busy schedule. Thankfully, this gym has everything I need to get in a great workout! Lots of equipment. Great space. Super clean!! Equipment is in great shape. Everything is super clean, including the bathrooms! Good cardio machine options! The Cybex Arc Trainer is what will keep me coming back. Great gym for such a small town! I could stay in there for hours each day :-)

I'm honestly so happy that this is the gym that go to because everyone here is super friendly and just overall amazing. I love that when I walk into the gym I'm greeted with a hello and a smile! Edit: It's a cool gym. I like it enough to be a 10 year member (on and off). Good equipment takes forever for them to fix it. I'm a maintenance guy it and I know it shouldn't take a month for a part to come in, but it does happens. Some equipment isn't being maintained at all that have light deficiencies that really do effect the quality of the exercise and the impacts the work out, and with a $30 plus maintenance fee that happened every year and like at minimum 100 members in this one location alone. It is pretty much unacceptable to me to have issues that cant, but should be fixed ina. timely manner. Maintenance fee should be for the equipment not the facility itself. That's what my membership fee is for, use your money effectively. However there is tons of other equipmemt, gear, and classes to use and free vibrating foam rollers. which is arguably one of the best things here.
The trainers and staff are cool. Really polite, generous with their information, helpful to anyone that comes in.
I'd give a shout out but really it's all of them. The owner Mike is personable, I've had a couple issues here and there but he's usually been able to remediate the issue, and I'm happy with that.

I've been a member with FP on and off for several years and it seems like they're only after one thing... $$. I initially went in to cancel my membership for another gym closer. But the woman at the desk convinced me to just put a freeze on my account to see how I liked the new gym! Understandable. She stated I would not be charged a membership fee.. end of conversation.
A couple days later I see a charge to my checking acct from FP. Even though I was NEVER told about this charge & it's NOWHERE in the freeze confirmation email I received.. "your card is on file with us so that means you agree to being charged for certain services regardless of what you were told" as stated by the Manager Rebecca.... I am just shocked. I got another call from Leann who assured me there’s nothing they can do & apparently it's the woman who froze my acct's word over mine (bc she falsified the nite about our interaction) & I wasn't granted a refund. Why do they always have to get something from us? I thought FP was about wellness and health.
Never stepping foot in this gym again after that customer service experience & I doubt my friends & family will either..

Manteno location hands down the cleanest one in kankakee county. Bathrooms as well. Weights are always put away and you can tell the people working there take pride in their gyms appearance. The other location could learn a thing or two.

Equipment is great! Love the classes. Michelle is a wonderful coach and tries to explain how to do things at your own pace. While other trainers are not as supportive and push you past your comfort level. One of the reasons I left. And when I did leave they made me feel like a failure. But that is okay. If you want a gym that pushes you this is one for you. But if you want one that is low key that you can work out and get positive vibes going your pace you need to try somewhere else.
