About the Club

FLX Move Pilates formerly The Pilates Experience is a Pilates Reformer class and private training studio. We offer group classes, teacher training, and community events. We help you strengthen your core and lengthen your body. Our class formats include Pilates Power and Pilates Flow for both an athletic take on the reformer and traditional classic flow. in our nearby FLX Move on 5117 Brown Street we offer Barre, Mat Pilates and Yoga classes which are part of our membership. We also have Massage Bodywork and Infrared Sauna sessions
Our community events include monthly book club, 60 Day Challenges and social meetups.
Join us for Pilates conditioning and getting stronger, stay for the community.

Great experience every time I have gone to a class... pilates reformer, mat pilates, yoga, barre. Every class is worth going to and all staff is very positive and helpful. Newcomers, do not worry about being new to this. You will love your experience!

Core mat Pilates on Monday with Taylor is a great workout…expect to sweat!!!
She watches and corrects form when needed, and has a way of making a difficult class so much fun!!!

Terrible instruction this morning. I signed up through class plass and the system glitched. Instructor was extremely rude in handling the situation as it showed up that I hadn’t signed up and asked to pay during class. Walked out, but wish there was better way of handling it. Her name was Jinah I believe

I really enjoyed Eila West’s Pilates Flow class today. She is a great instructor that brings a lot of energy to the class. She was kind enough to help me find my cell phone after class while she was in the middle of teaching the next class. Thank you for going out of your way to assist. I really appreciate it.

I was blown away from the start, My first class was with instructor Nicole; I started going beginning of this year and it was the most amazing experience I’ve had and since then I’ve been hooked. She’s incredible, attentive, and friendly. Her classes are spicy yet fun. She’s very good at engaging with her clients during/while class is in session. I highly recommend coming here if you want to challenge yourself and make positive changes whether it’s physically and or mentally coming here will do both for you and more. Andrea, the owner is great, her energy is a vibe and she’s very friendly. I can’t forget to mention Veronica, bubbly personality and her classes are great. It’s not hard to pick which instructors class you want to attend because they’re all phenomenal and they’re all the right choice.

I am so grateful I found the Pilates experience, I really need to love the exercise I do to be consistent, and they made me fall in love with Pilates and the community. It’s so special for me to go each week and share an hour with amazing people and incredible instructors that make me shake and enjoy what I’m doing. Special thanks to Nichole, Hazelle and Andrea as their classes bring me absolute joy and peace every week, and kept me consistent for 7 months now!
I’ve struggled with moving my body for so long, but I’m staying here and loving every class of it.

Highly recommend doing pilates classes at The Pilates Experience! I was intimidated at first to get started but the instructors are all supportive and accommodating for beginners...the owner Andrea is committed to helping to foster community and I like that people who exercise here are very diverse in age, body type, ethnicity etc....all of the instructors are great and I also enjoy their music choices. Great addition to Skokie!

I have been going here since April of 2024 and this review is long overdue. I had wanted to try reformer Pilates for a long time but was always intimidated to try it. I first tried the Skokie Parks Department, but they had a long wait list. Then I saw this studio one day while driving by, found it online, and haven't looked back since. I have been doing private sessions with Andrea and she is fantastic. She is able to pick just the right movements and exercises to put together a routine that works out my entire body. Exercises that are easier for me, she knows how to make harder. Exercises that I struggle with, she finds ways to make easier so I can build up strength and stamina. I always feel great when I leave the studio and I have noticed a positive difference in my overall posture and body alignment since doing Pilates.

Over the summer I sustained a knee injury playing pickleball. I thankfully did not need surgery, but the injury required a couple months of rest and physical therapy. I can honestly say Andrea's 1:1 sessions have been a lifesaver for me. She knows so much about anatomy and how all the muscles work together. Since the injury, we have adjusted my workouts to target the necessary muscles to help gain my strength back while also building additional strength I did not have before to provide additional support to my knee.

I’m updating my review (12/13/24): I have been coming for almost a year at this point to this pilates studio and highly recommend it! Love the variety of classes and instructors. Andrea and Sue do a great work of keeping participants engaged through different challenges (like 30 class challenge during the Summer, and bingo challenge during holidays), and I really appreciate the intention to build community. The location is very convenient with good parking options too. I’m very happy to be a member!

I love the pilates experience studio! I have been coming for 2 months about 3-4 times per week. Andrea and Susan are amazing instructors and also very welcoming. They offer different classes and even if you choose the same type of class the routines are always different. They also try to build community by having each participant do a quick introduction and some classes end with a 90secs meditation that is so relaxing and grounding. Highly recommend!

Sue was an awesome instructor! I was the only one that showed up to class today but she was gracious to give me a private session which was amazing!! I am new to Pilates and she was very thorough with her instructions. It was a full body workout that was more challenging than my weightlifting and it engaged my core the whole time. The studio is very clean and fits a lot of reformers. I am so happy that this studio opened in the area. Thank you so much I had a lot of fun and a killer workout!

As somewhat of a newcomer to Pilates, I was very nervous for my first class, but it couldn’t have gone better! Andrea was so kind and patient with me and I got the best workout I’ve had in years. It turned my whole day around! I will absolutely be back. If you’re on the fence - go for it!!
