Great smaller studio with attentive staff, a good vibe and welcoming students! My go-to for Pilates in the City! The have reformer, chair, tower, and a yoga wall. 🥰

I’ve done a few classes here now and this is a great studio. So clean, a very comfortable feel, and the instructors have great energies. Very affordable for Pilates sessions! Both the mat and reformer classes were awesome.

I did the foam roller mat class with Randi the other day and can’t say enough about the class and the studio. I hadn’t been here before but saw this class and thought I’d try it for my back issues. My back hasn’t felt this good in ages, and Randi is a fabulous teacher. I will definitely be back and maybe try other classes. The studio is pretty and clean and has all the state oof the art equipment. Highly recommend!

I’ve done Pilates on and off for the last 15 years, so I’m really picky about my studios, but I absolutely LOVE Frog Temple. All of their instructors are incredibly knowledgeable and well trained. I leave every class feeling challenged, but invigorated. Randi (the owner) is the best! Somehow she manages to be thoughtful and funny while still kicking your butt in class. She also goes out of her way to get to know her clients. I really can’t say enough good things about this place.

Frog Temple is the best place for Pilates in Chicago! I’ve taken classes with all of the instructors and they are all very knowledgeable and fun to work with.

I will be the first to say I'm not a fan of pilates. That said, I needed to find a low impact workout and decided to give mat pilates at Frog Temple a chance since the first class is free. I was pleasantly surprised--the instructor provided useful guidance and was friendly without being over the top. Most importantly: I left the class feeling like I had *actually* completed a workout. I will probably return!

The instructors are so knowledgeable and pay close attention to form and provide hands on corrections when needed.
They also encourage questions and break down the experiential learning into smaller steps ensuring you understand both in mind and body before moving on.
Lastly, the instructors modify and change the plan/equipment/exercises based on what the individuals in the class need. It's not cookie cutter classes at all.
The visuals/examples they give are relatable as well as a helpful way to remember form or corrections. I'm so impressed with my experiences at Frog Temple Pilates.

I love that all the instructors give personalized verbal and physical adjustments. It's amazing how the tiniest misalignment or lack of muscle engagement can make such a difference. I've been to so many studios that do not give nearly as many verbal cues and don't offer modifications or adjustments. Kudos to all of you.

The best instructors I’ve encountered. They all have patience, enthusiasm and focus. They can attend to each person in a group class and help specific needs in one-on-one sessions. The studio is clean and cozy and perfectly equipped. One of my favorite places to be.

“I can’t say enough positive things about Randi and the crew at Frog Temple. I started going to Frog Temple in 2009. Since then, I’ve moved, but would always be sure to visit the studio when in town. I've turned my mother and friends on to Frog Temple. Not only has it changed my body but keeps me positive. The classes are addictive! They are fun and challenging at the same time. The hour flies by. A silver lining to the pandemic is that we can do Pilates at Frog Temple virtually! If you can’t make one of Randi’s classes, all of the instructors are amazing. Highly recommended if you are looking for a new workout for your mind and body coupled with a great community."

I am grateful every day I found Marcia's classes at Frog Temple Pilates just before everything went online. She's their GENIUS prenatal and postnatal pilates teacher supporting pregnant and recovering moms. I've worked with lots of types of teachers and body workers over the past years to deal with major back issues and other childbirth related pain, and she's a one of a kind teacher. Great listener, incredibly wise and intuitive around what your body needs, creates classes that stretch and strengthen and challenge and heal all at the same time, and she's a delight to be around. I've tried a few other online classes at different studios and none of them replicate in person as well as Marcia's and Frog Temple. Honestly as a new mom I prefer not having to commute, because she's so good at offering adjustments and cues online. I hope all the pregnant mamas out there join Marcia's prenatal classes and join the community of mamas across Chicago she's supporting.

For reformer Pilates- Very small classes and individual attention to form. Super helpful in correcting patterns that lead to back/shoulder pain. Instructors are kind, encouraging and really know their stuff. I’ve learmed so much about my body, and reduced back pain just by coming weekly to Jeanne’s classes. Thank you!!

FTP is very focused on the moves and movement of the body. They are very knowledgeable about connecting the anatomy and the moves. I definitely felt it! The space is extremely small however, a single room, and there could be 1-2 other private sessions going on in the space so it gets a little distracting at times, and hard to hear your teacher. I feel Pilates should be more peaceful personally. They were very friendly.

I hurt my low back about a year ago and tried a variety things to help (including two different chiropractors). Regular pilates at Frog Temple was by far the most beneficial. I’ve now been doing classes here for about six months and everyone that works at the studio is great. I think the trick with pilates is that it’s not necessarily a substitute for exercise — instead, it’s more a required maintenance to keep feeling well if you’re like me and spend a lot of time sitting at a desk (and on a couch). I felt like I was “getting it” a couple months after starting, but still clearly have a ton to learn. The instructors definitely pay attention and make sure you’re getting the most out of the class. And summer time has been great for classes because they’re a little emptier and you get even more direct coaching. Highly recommended.

There's something about a studio's aura that either sets you on edge or immediately envelopes and welcomes you, and as soon as I walked into Frog Temple I immediately felt more relaxed and calm. My first instructor was Jeanne and she was fantastic, super understanding about my complete lack of Pilates knowledge (or skill), and keeping class fun even when it got challenging (I love her playlist!). I went again 2 days later for class with Ghienhel, who was also incredibly welcoming and fun. I travel for work, so I'm only able to come twice a week if that, but I'm so happy to have found a studio that has already nestled into my life. Workout-wise, I was shocked at how sore I was after each class - sometimes an exercise wouldn't feel too challenging in the moment but not 30min later I could feel it. I'm looking forward to continuing my Pilates studies here and at home, and to be honest this studio makes me want to move to Chicago =)

All of their instructors are really great but this review is for Marcia, who focuses on pre and post natal pilates. She is really passionate and knowledgeable about everything related to giving birth. She helped me prepare for a smooth delivery (or as smooth as could be) and now helping me recover from this big change that happened. She has been as knowledgeable about my body problems as any doctor and taught me exercises to help with those problems. I only wish i started going to the prenatal classes earlier!

I love this studio! It's always clean and they have cute inventory. The classes are on the smaller size so you get individual attention throughout class. The staff is friendly and encouraging. I have gone to Katie's classes for about a year and she is great, I really feel like she has helped me improve.

Loose. I feel loose as a goose. I will go back. I will definitely go back I say. Why don't you try and find your way, to be the loosest goose in the Chicago bay? Calm and Strong. Amazing, intimate pilates studio that focuses on true pilates work and not bells and whistles. All the instructors I've worked with have been amazing and talented. You can see they are dedicated and passionate about their work. Marcia is fabulous for pre and postnatal clients and you are lucky to nab a private session with her. Randi, the owner, is always smiling and has such a positive aura.

Been going for a couple months and notice my body getting stronger. It's the right amount of muscle workout without achy knees, ankles, etc & instructors are awesome! Modifications & challenge movements are offered throughout session so I never feel disappointed if I'm not successful.

I used to be a regular at Frog Temple, back when they were on Damen. Then I moved. I love this place so much, I make a point of taking Randi's class whenever I am back in town for a visit. Not sure if they're still doing the occasional month-long bootcamp, but after I completed the program I had the best body I have ever had. At my going-away party, held at the beach, I pranced around in my bikini without a cover-up and could not have been happier. And on top of the excellent ass-kicking, Frog Temple just has a really nice vibe. Everyone is really nice. Highly recommended.

I cannot imagine a better place for Pilates. Randi and the entire staff do a remarkable job at teaching and guiding each student to get the most out of every class. Their depth of knowledge, enthusiasm, and warmth make Frog Temple an ideal place whether you are a beginner or a seasoned student. Every class I take challenges me in new ways; I enjoy getting better and better and feeling my body get stronger, more limber, and more agile -- all thanks to Randi and her crew!
