We believe in a total body approach and create customized fitness programs that are unique to your abilities in order to optimize your performance.
We primarily serve clients age 40 and older and specialize in functional strength training, injury prevention, evaluation and rehabilitation, golf performance, and aging adults.

I found Alan through Facebook marketplace several years ago. I was looking for a fitness specialist who could take me to a higher level of strength and flexibility and balance. What I found in working with him is a consummate professional with decades of experience and a confident, encouraging, relaxing demeanor that has provided me with the tools for great success. I am a young 71 years old and I am in the best shape of my life and working with Alan has made that possible. If you decide to give him a chance, you won’t regret it. I had fallen on a trip and was feeling very old. Knew I needed to start working out as it had been a while. Had tons of moves in my head but really didn’t know how to start or what to pinpoint. Alan helped me realize my weaknesses and some strengths. I know I’m stronger and more stable. Plan on going back for more help once fall hits.

Before working with Alan I could never do workouts without eventually pulling a muscle of having some other issue. Alan knows anatomy and the body so well that I always feel better after our sessions. If I do come in to a session with an injury, Alan always knows how to work around the issue and many times improve the injury in our session.
My balance, core, strength and overall health has improved from working with Alan over the last 6 months.
His gym is spotless and has top equipment to work with. Alan, has a customized planned workout for each session. He is kind, extremely knowledgeable, and a joy to work with.
I would recommend Alan to anyone who wants to improve their life.

Having worked out my entire adult life, I tore my meniscus and needed to rest my knee. I figured I'd get back to working out as soon as I was better. After 10 years I was still doing nothing, but was struggling with walking, getting up from a chair and even turning over in bed! I was afraid to pick something off the floor. I had to do something. I found Alan on Facebook and felt a connection with his written words. I listened to what he said and recognized a science based, safe way to get myself back in shape. Alan's caring attitude and knowledge of the human body got me going without the discomfort and pain I had experienced with other trainers. I'm a 75 yr old example of what proper skill building can do. Thanks, Alan!

I have been working with Alan almost a year now. I live somewhat of a sedentary lifestyle when I am not working and was feeling tired just going up stairs. In my younger years I was working out 3x a week and full of energy, but as you get older your daily tasks drain you just run out of juice and start gaining weight etc. I never had a personal trainer in my entire life but I felt I needed someone to help reduce my A1C and give me professional guidance as how to get more energy and strength. I am stronger now thanks to Alan and he is a great trainer because he is always monitoring not only how I feel but my mental well being and adjusts my workouts accordingly. I still manty health challenges but without Al's guidance I don't think I would have reduced my A1C and I thank him for that and recommend Alan Vitelli for anyone looking to get to their best shape possible..its over 2 years now and am training 4 days a week. Al goes out of his way to help me meet my goals because he recommends not only exercise but a healthy and balanced diet.

HIGHLY recommended. If every personal trainer was Alan, this world would be a different place. First off, I hate the gym. Like, hate it. It's intimidating and I'll be honest, I'm no expert. I was in spectacular shape in my 20s, but now a dad in my 40s it took a lot to get myself going. After three sessions with Alan everything started to make sense. I actually started to feel a difference in my body and I realized it's because Alan is giving the most insight to make sure I'm doing the right thing. Focusing on using the correct muscles and form I'm finding my body is adapting much faster than I expect. It's a great experience, and Alan? I cannot say enough great things. A genuinely awesome person and he just happens to be a personal trainer.

Alan Vitelli has been my athletic trainer for just over a year. Until I started with Alan I was inconsistent in my workouts which resulted in maintenance of my current condition but no real progress. By having a set schedule with Alan, my workouts are productive. Alan tailors my workouts to the needs and goals I have in the sports in which I participate. My strength has increased and I don’t get those awful hamstrings cramps anymore! My workouts are varied and interesting and I feel great when I leave the gym. Alan is very personable and a good listener.
My husband's review: Alan Vitelli has been my trainer since February 2021. After Covid began I gained 12 pounds staying at home and not getting much exercise. Since I have been working out I have lost 14 pounds. I am much stronger and healthier. I work out twice a week and I am never bored. Alan changes the routine to achieve my goals. When I am training with Alan I feel like I am working out with a friend.

I am a 71-year-old man that for the first time in my life said: "I feel my age." I decided it was time to get back in the gym. However, based on experience, I knew I would either lose motivation overtime or overdo it and get injured. I decided to look for a personal trainer. I discovered Alan and communicated with him about his philosophy. I never heard of "functional fitness training", and I liked his philosophy of "fitness for life". I am now into my 8th week with him. Working with him was the best decision I ever made about my fitness. I am doing routines I never knew about. While I am "gassed" when we finish working out, I am not stiff and in pain the next day. Alan mixes up the routine to accommodate any pain or injury you may have, and to avoid your fitness plateauing. He has great knowledge of the anatomy and body mechanics. I am not sure my body looks much different in 8 weeks, but I am stronger and feel much fitter. I highly recommend Alan no matter what your age.

My wife and I have been working out with Alan for 4+ years and we loved all of it. For the longest time, we were having trouble staying consistent and motivated to work out. Working with a personal trainer has been more than just the work out. Alan tailors each and every session to our needs and wants. There are days when we need to focus on a certain body part because we sit in a chair all day for work, but he also works in something fun at the end like boxing, our favorite. He also ensures that we stay challenged by introducing more weight and longer timed intervals without us evening noticing. Alan has the professionalism that is required of a personal trainer alongside the personality that makes us enjoy working out.

I trained with Alan for a few months and highly recommend. Alan is very knowledgeable and tailors the sessions to meet your needs and goals. He's attentive and makes adjustments as needed, he's open to feedback while finding the right balance to push your further. I started working with Alan in Sept., 2017 after my trainer moved away. I am a senior citizen who has used some form of exercise my entire life. My goal was to stay as healthy an fit as possible to be able to enjoy "old age" with minimal disability. Alan has helped my continue these goals with weekly workouts. He has a wealth of knowledge about maintaining maximum fitness with exercises appropriate for my fitness level and age. He not only stresses strength but also agility and balance. He plans our training carefully to achieve all of those things. He is very flexible and always says there are many ways to achieve the same result. He also challenges me to move to the next level of difficulty and not be content to just settle for less. I think I have gained strength and knowledge about my body and appreciate his willingness to share his knowledge and insight regarding fitness. I look forward to our training and hope to continue working with him for a long time.

I began working with Alan in June of 2018! Initially, my goals were centered around weight loss for my wedding. However, Alan’s expertise went further than I could have imagined. After multiple foot injuries, I thought I’d struggle to exercise the way I used to when I was a competitive runner in HS and college. With Alan’s help, I not only lost weight for the wedding, but he worked with me to rehab my foot beyond my expectations! I no longer had difficulty walking (at 28yrs old!) up stairs.
A year after my wedding, I was diagnosed with Hashimotos. Alan worked with me and modified exercise to fit my needs as I maneuvered the lifestyle changes. He truly cares about who he works with and his knowledge far exceeds any trainer I’ve ever met!
I’ve worked with other trainers and been pushed beyond my abilities or comfort (while injured). Alan is NOT like that. You won’t get cookie cutter fitness...instead you’ll get quality and targeted fitness for your body, lifestyle, etc. If you’re looking for someone who cares, can adjust exercise to fit your needs, understands a wholistic and integrative stance on fitness, then Alan is your man! I can’t recommend him enough.
