I'm new to golf and was pretty skeptical about Golftec, but I was matched with Austin Aviza who is an incredible teacher and have been really happy with my experience. The data, stats, and insights are pretty incredible, and with Austin guiding the process my game has progressed way more rapidly than I could've even hoped. If you're lucky enough to get on his schedule I highly recommend this location and working with him!

Decided to switch things up from my usual spots like Golf Galaxy or PGA Superstore and came here instead to get fit for a new club. I was in the market for a driver and wanted to feel confident in the investment. After browsing around I liked the look of how data driven and personalized the reviews I read about GolfTec were. In the end, I couldn’t be happier with how the process went and the final result. I booked a time online and worked with Jack K for my fitting. He walked me through plenty of options and combinations to test and compare, and I was pleasantly surprised when I ended up purchasing a driver that wasn’t even on my radar but clearly delivered the best results. Jack made the session easy and enjoyable, and I’ll definitely be coming back here the next time I’m looking to get fit for a new club in the bag!

I took lessons with Jon Bellotti and he’s fantastic, I cannot recommend him as a coach enough. This year was my first full season playing and first time taking lessons. I started as total novice just taking up the game and shooting in the 120s. There was clearly a lot to work on but Jon was patient, clear, and set out a path for how I could get to where I wanted. He was able to help me make vast improvements in all areas of my game and get me from shooting in the 120s and barely able to make contact, to shooting a personal best 100 recently. While I am still trying to reach my main goal of breaking 100, I know I am well on my way and Jon (and Golftec) are 100% the main reason for that. Aside from that, the location and bays are well kept and all of the other staff I’ve interacted with were always very nice and helpful. I would absolutely recommend Jon and Golftec to anyone looking to improve their game.

I have been working with Austin and it has been a really rewarding experience, this is also why I have continued to stay his client. Austin has this way of connecting and genuinely helping with each complexity of the golf swing. He does a great job of tailoring tips and feels in a personal way that is easy to understand and implement drills to improve. The golf swing is different to each individual and he has been patient, determined and kind to help me truly improve - I have gone in one summer from a 21 hdcp to a 13 and looking to drop down to single digits next year. You do not just feel like just another client to him - going from putting Golftec in your calendar to Austin lesson is when you realize you have built something really cool. I know he does this for his other students because I see and hear it when I stop in for practice.
He genuinely cares about your tangible improvement as does the rest of the staff at Halsted Row. I will continue to keep my game plans in order to reach my goals and I have zero doubt I will get there with Austin's help. I could not recommend him specifically or any other coach at Golftec Halsted Row. They should be commended on the great environment they have built for clients trying to improve at such a difficult game.

I worked with Maxwell Evans and had a wonderful experience - easily worth the cost and wouldn’t hesitate to re-up as necessary. He is very thoughtful and well prepared; you get a lot of your time with him. He speaks in terms that are easily digestible and is very patient. I have been going to this Golftec location for a few years now and my game has improved dramatically. I didn’t even own clubs when I walked in the first time and now I play 50+ rounds a year. I still have a lot of work to do, but my game has gotten to the point where I’m confident playing with anyone. All of the coaches are top notch, but special kudos to my coach, Cody, who is fantastic and has unbelievable patience. I have recently picked up interest in golf in the last few years and needless to say my game needed a lot of work… I was introduced to Cody Temper by a client of mine and inside of 9 months he cut my handicap in half. It’s been a profound change. I now absolutely love the game and make a point to get out at least once a week. As an added bonus Cody will come out on the course to work on things that can’t be worked on in the bays. Adding to that benefit, I’ve been having him tag along when I bring clients and prospects out on the course and he is happy to help them with their game during the round. Game changer! The sales I’ve landed and relationships built from prospects meeting Cody and learning a few easy tips on their swing has paid for the lessons! The facilities are great and it’s easy to get in practice when the weather is bad. I’d highly recommend giving lessons at the Halsted Row location a try. I worked with Austin who absolutely changed my game. I came in as a 25 handicap and left as a 17. Not only did Austin help me improve my game, he also made the lessons really enjoyable and fun. Even when I didn't have a lesson he was always stopping in the bay and making sure everything was going well and taking notes. Based on what I saw all his other students had similar interactions. I'd recommend that anyone work with Austin whether you're a 32 handicap or a +3

I started at Golftec with Kyle Imel as a true beginner. I really appreciated how Kyle never overwhelmed me with instruction as I began with numerous swing flaws. One skill at a time I learned and improved to the point now where I am significantly better and enjoy the game immensely. I highly recommend Golftec and Kyle.

I went to GolfTec on Halsted after feeling like I completely lost my swing. I had no confidence on the course or the range and was hitting it completely inconsistently. With the help of the video analysis, Jonathan was able to quickly diagnose the problem and improve my contact in a single lesson. Over the course of the next several weeks, we were able to build on this base and improve my consistency AND power. I'm hitting my mid-irons about a club-length longer, and my misses are (for the most part) less penalizing. In addition, the hitting bays are very nice for practicing and seeing how your swing is progressing visually. As others have said, the lessons are fairly pricey, but they have really helped me get back my swing confidence, which is really crucial on the course.

Be aware of the “contract “ you sign. In September of 2021 I signed up for 5 lessons. They now claim they expire after 3 months. I was able to book a lesson in July of 2022. However , now they claim there was a 3 month limit. There was no 3 month time frame to complete the lessons mentioned when I paid. The hard sell Zach made after the swing evaluation made no mention of how soon the lessons had to be redeemed.

The guys at Golftech are great. This is one of the best places in the city to practice and improve your game. Golftech sells a lot of clubs and gives many lessons, but the best thing here is video practice. Take a lesson, practice, match against the lesson, repeat. It's the best.

I went for a scheduled lesson a few weeks back. The gentleman who I had a scheduled appointment with told me to my face that he didn’t know I was coming. He then went to “get another instructor” and nobody showed up. He disappeared, never came back. I felt discriminated against, ignored, highly disappointed. I would never come here again.

Zach has been great! I purchased a 6 month practice session and 15 lessons, perfect for the off season here in Chicago. I'm 3 months into the practice session and love being able to practice any weather condition. The team here at Golftec is very professional and accommodating. There's no short cut to putting in the work and practicing. Great environment to pursue your golf game and get better. Amazing individual practice simulators, putting green to practice, football games and golf on TV, can't ask for much more. Very happy

Scheduled a driver fitting with them (after having a full bag fit) and the guy showed up 30 minutes late to our fitting- I rescheduled. Our second fitting was pushed back 90 minutes, day of, as I was already on my way to the city.

My first bag fitting showed up 3 weeks past the date they stated on invoice. Never thought anything of it but thought I’d mention now that I’m writing a review.

I had never been fitted for irons before, and she was extremely knowledgeable, telling me where my spin, launch angles, etc. needed to be and helping me find the clubs that will optimize my ball flight and distance. Had a great experience with Andrea here. She did not take any cookie-cutter approaches and really invested all of her energy in each lesson. I exponentially got better each session and it is all thanks to her awareness and knowledge of the game. We always had a plan going into each session and a takeaway (maybe two) to work on out of the "office". Phenomenal structure that led to big improvements and much more awareness of my swing.

No matter what level you are as a golfer and want to get better, I would highly recommend coming in and starting to work with Andrea. Does not get much better than this!

I signed up for a swing evaluation, 5 lessons, 5 practice sessions, and a club fitting. Highly recommend Eric Akeson if you're hoping to build a fundamentally sound golf swing. Eric has a great approach to breaking the swing down into pieces that allow you to focus on one aspect at a time, while understanding the 'why' behind each change. Already seeing major improvements which I did not expect to see so soon when you think about a complete swing rebuild-well worth the cost.

Highly recommend GOLFTEC on Halsted Row and Andrea Webster as instructor. After having a few lessons on and off for the better part of a decade, I decided to actually commit to getting my game right and signed up for a lesson package with GOLFTEC. Even before I set foot in the building for my first lesson, Andrea reached out and we spoke for over an hour about what my goals were, past struggles, and what I really wanted to get out of the lessons. I have had a few past instructors who would simply tell me a few points but Andrea made it a point to work WITH me and help me through the different parts of my game. In the last few months, I have made great strides in all parts of my game and have Andrea to thank.

id give it 3.5 star, but it won’t let me select that and I can’t give it 4 starts. It’s very expensive and the instructors would show up few minutes after appointment time, then leave a few minutes early. I just feel that the money you spend for this service isn’t completely worth it. And they try to sell you constantly on additional services. Few parts of my game did improve though, but I can’t say enough to give it full satisfaction. It’s all tech based too, I’d rather have lessons actually at a club or range..
