I would like to reply to Pamelas post about Debbie the instructor for aqua swim class. The rules state once class starts no late entry or watching. It is very disrubtive. She was not yelling she was talking in a loud voice because the music is loud and it echos in there. So other people were trying to tell u to leave because u couldnt hear. Debbie is a great instructor as are the other instructors.
Also maybe the fitness managment could post signs on door in both mens and womens that class has started please dont disturb. Im sure staff members could keep tract when to post. Just a thought.

I need to share one of most shameful experiences as an adult and it was here thanks to the teacher Debbie.
It was my first day walking into the fitness center.
I went to the lap pool and all lanes were being used, so I decided to just take a look at what “water blast class” looks like.
When I walk in my swimming suit the teacher Debbie starts screaming: get out!!
I seemed confused and don’t understand why she says that. I try to explain her that it is my first time and I am not planning to stay. I understand the class looked full and I just wanted to see the type of exercises.
She shouts again: No! get out!!
I keep trying to understand why….i don’t seem to understand why the way she is asking me to leave the area. Rude, disrespectful and then encourages everyone (25 people) to start shouting me get out! Get out!
I leave the room and went to the lap pool to wait for my turn.
I was then very ashamed to see anyone from the class on the lockers area because of how everyone was shouting at me.
The teacher needs to be coached on communication skills.
I was not rude to her, it was my first day and I was not understanding why I couldn’t watch for 3 minutes.
She could have politely just said: hey don’t worry, I can explain you later why you can’t be here.
Anything could have made it better than screaming at me and encourage the crowd to do the same

There are a lot of good things about Gottlieb Fitness Center and some areas that could use improvement.

The Good:
1. Great amount of quality fitness equipment & several different areas to workout. Huge amount of cardio equipment.
2. Rarely feels crowded since the club is large.
3. Cost is very reasonable for what you get.
4. The personal trainers all seem very knowledgeable and encouraging. I trained with Emily and she was awesome!
5.The other club members are respectful and pleasant.

Areas for improvement:
1. Most of the staff isn't very welcoming. I don't get the impression they're unfriendly, but they are more interested in talking and hanging with each other rather welcoming and being there for members. It would be nice if Gottlieb provided customer service training for their staff. There is one gentlemen that works that is an exception- he's very friendly & welcoming.!
2. I never see staff maintaining/cleaning the space or the equipment. Past memberships I've had at other clubs I usually see the staff cleaning consistently. Maybe they have the staff do this before and after hours?

Overall I do recommend Gottlieb as it's a great place for fitness. And it would be nice to see some employee training with a focus on customer service. After all, the club members are why they are there in the first place.

I've been a member on and off since the center first opened. The facility is basically the same. The staff is very pleasant, in particular the manager, and the incredibly polite towel person, Jesus, who never fails to greet you with a smile, and wishes you a great day when you leave. The atmosphere and lighting are a bit dreary...could use a lttle sprucing up. Ladies locker room needs updating. Bottom of lockers are chipped and peeling, and have found candy wrappers and personal items left in them. Time to also replace the ripped curtain in the dressing room.

Some people go from sauna directly into whirlpool, leaving body sweat and whatever else in whirlpool, nothing is ever said to anyone

Gottlieb Fitness Center was designed just for me. Now, I can work to get my GROOVE back after nearly 2 years of pain from knee and hip pain that was beyond debilitating. I am thrilled to have a fully-equipped gym that also includes many of "toys" my physical therapist used to help heal my knee and hip.

Love love love this center and staff. Whirlpool, sauna, steam, warm water pool classes, towel service and more included in your membership. Was reading a review regarding the towels. Most of the women bring an additional bigger towel with no complaints. Toiletries are bought from home. Most people use different products. There is soap provided in the showers. I can’t imagine why any more amenities are expected regarding personal hygiene which has nothing to do with fitness. Throw those items in your gym bag and keep it moving!

I’ve been at Gottlieb Fitness Center since January 2023. My first day there was just like being at one of my family members home or with old friends that I hadn’t seen in years, I felt so comfortable and welcomed. The staff is very caring, supportive and professional, they’re possibly the best staff a fitness center could have. I love the group fitness classes, love, love, love, and love them and that’s an understatement lol. I’d joined another fitness center in my area, but it wasn’t a good fit for me. Gottlieb center for fitness is my home, I love the staff there, I love my instructors. I have met some good friends for life and it’s the best place for everyone. To be honest I can not see myself at any other fitness center. I’m glad that I joined and I will be there for life.

I mainly use the basketball court, and I notice the net on the far right size is stiff and the balls won’t feed through. cool water station, nice track, this gym and staff is of the best quality.

Just terminated my membership. They keep saying that they will stay open till 10 pm soon, but they have been saying that for a year. Also, that kept screwing up the payments for my wife and I every month The managers were not helpful at all. I miss the old Gollieb before the pandemic. Needless to say, but I have found a much better place to go to. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

First day here and we’ll see how long I stay a member. When you walk in, you pass a towel counter. Now you can only get two towels max. You then go for a decent walk to the locker room, where the showers and saunas are, plus the pools, hot tub, and steam room all must be accessed through the locker room. I’m a swimmer. I come here for the pool, hot tub, showers, steam room, basically everything you’d need a towel for. It’s not a cheep place so the towel situation is enough to make me very unsatisfied.

I was told I could go switch out my wet towels at the front desk for dry towels whenever necessary but I’m not going to keep running back and forth. I switched from Lifetime because I thought this would do the trick but I may have been wrong. If Gottlieb gets rid of their towel control and rules I’ll gladly stay a member. Prior to Gottlieb closing for the first time, there were never any towel issues. Ever. Now the membership costs more than before but there are less courtesies (ex: towels).

Another huge thing - they no longer have the extra amenities that they did when Gottlieb operated it. No hair spray, deodorant, lotions, shampoos, or conditioners. It’s very depressing.

I hope Gottlieb reconsiders their towel rule and rethinks the other changes they made. I’d love to have the rest of my family join but we all only use the aquatics areas so the towel situation would negatively impact us.

Pre Pandemic I absolutely loved to workout 3 times weekly. Post pandemic I love love love Gottlieb water aerobics classes I’ve tried the cycling class and treadmill too. So far I’ve established a routine of working out 2 days a week. Got to get the 3rd day in. The place is newly decorated and looks amazing with beautiful bright colors too. All new employees with the exception of one Jesus the young man who issues out the keys to your locker.

I was excited to come back to this gym after it reopened but now I seriously regret it. Came in at 1pm on Sunday and it was closed… should be open till 5pm. On weekdays it’s only open till 8pm. If you have a job and a life this is not a gym for you because they’re only available for people who have all the time in the world. Also barely any classes available. Love the cleanliness and the pools but seriously not worth $65 if they have the doctor’s office hours and close the gym whenever they feel like it.

Don't know what "Chatfield" is talking about. Squat rack has safety bars. They've been there as long as I've been going there. Hard to miss; t-shaped with drilled holes, about 3.5 feet long, heavy, metal, usually Right Next To The Rack Because There's No Other Place To Put Them. Club is nice, plenty of amenities and parking, and not crowded.
