About the Club

Gypsy Rising offers a variety of ways to move: Power Yoga (hot), Pilates (Hot and Non-Heated), Barre (Hot and Non-Heated), Sculpt, Chair Classes, VInyasa and Gentle. Gypsy Rising was born from a desire to empower and uplift our community one class at a time. The vision is to harness the power of the practice to make a meaningful impact in Pekin and Central Illinois.
Through a variety of meaningful practices, we hope to help people connect with themselves and awaken to their full possibility. A Gypsy Soul is a person who is full of energy and wants to live life in their own terms. They harness the spirit and rise from within.
At Gypsy Rising, we want you to awaken to your own power and possibility.

Several of my friends go to Gypsy rising, and are always telling me how great the classes are . Well, today was my first yoga class. And I selected the chair yoga. I definitely hit muscles that have not been used in a long time. Julie went at a great pace and explained all the movements. I will definitely book another class.

I just finished my first Power Yoga class at Gypsy and I have to say, it was fantastic. As someone who is newer to yoga, I was a little nervous about jumping into "power" but the instructor Amanda was incredibly welcoming and supportive. They offered clear modifications for every pose, making it completely accessible, but still challenging enough to feel like a great workout. The energy in the studio was warm and non-judgmental. I left feeling invigorated and proud of myself for completing the class. Highly recommend Gypsy for anyone—especially if you're a beginner looking for a powerful and positive introduction to yoga!

Had my very first vinyasa class today with Amanda, and as someone who normally does yoga in the comfort of their own home and for maybe 15 minutes at a time I really really enjoyed the hour long class. The breath work was so soothing, the atmosphere was so relaxing the poses were very much beginner friendly I definitely can feel it in my legs hours after but I cannot wait to take another class and see how much I progress!! Can’t wait to come back!

I really enjoyed this class. You will hold a stretch for several minutes while relaxing.
Molly did a wonderful job gently guiding us through a quiet stress free hour with the lights off. The entire class was on the floor on a mat. I placed my matt on the floor by the bar , incase I needed it to get back up. I didn’t need the bar.
I highly recommend this class.

Gypsy Rising Yoga is exactly what this small town was missing! They offer a wide variety of classes from barre, to pilates, to vinyasa and yin yoga to fit everyone's preferences and skill level. The instructors are all very knowledgeable about their craft, and they go above and beyond to ensure you are doing the poses correctly. This studio has created such an amazing place with a sense of community and comraderie. I have thoroughly enjoyed watching both the studio, and the patrons, grow throughout this first year. I went to my first hot yoga class with my daughter and a friend. My daughter has been wanting to go. My friend was gracious enough for us to be her plus 2. I was not sure about the heat part. I was pleasantly surprised, I liked it. I felt great afterwards. It wasn’t bad at all, at moments I felt like maybe I was melting lol. The teacher, Gillian was great and easy to follow. I will definitely take another one of her classes.

I did a barre class with Autumn and it was the best! She was so encouraging, knowledgeable and did a fantastic job explaining what to do for a beginner to barre like me. She gave options to make each exercises more or less challenging which was very helpful. Even when some of the exercises became difficult or tiring, autumn was cracking jokes and keeping the spirits high! Her playlist was good and so upbeat too!! It was overall a great workout, with an awesome instructor and I would definitely go back!

I just love the new Gypsy Rising Yoga Studio in Pekin! Owner and lead Gypsy Amanda, has such a sweet and kind way of motivating students to find their own practice. I took the 10:00am Vinyasa class. This group was about 6-7 people. Small but the energy that these women brought to the space, filled the room with curiosity, focus and a burn to learn. Props were used and encouraged throughout the lesson. As someone who has had multiple injuries, I found this class challenging and rewarding at the same time. Gypsy Rising has become my favorite place to practice, I will definitely return!
