3.5/5 too small for that much of traffic. 7am itself most of the machine get occupied. Just imagine during peak time. Is this part of cost cut or no crew to fix this? More than a week. Definitely not signature LA. It is been 3 months that 20lb Slam ball got broken. No replacement yet. Bolt for Punch bag holder is broken. No sign of out of service. Seems like they don't care about customer reviews.

This seems like an okay gym, no real issues with anything equipment wise. The issue is the people. Specially when you’re trying to use a guest pass. It’s not just the simple let’s scan the code, take a pic, your license - okay you’re good to go. They make you sit through a presentation about stuff you don’t care about and sit you with the least socially apt individuals who probably lack any kind of education as they can’t seem to type in an email address in correctly for example. “Industries” as part of the email and consistently typing “induesties” when corrected various times. Let people use a guest pass and see if they like the environment rather than force them to try and purchase a membership. “Oh the guest pass is only for 2 days, that means it’ll run out and we basically have to sign you up”, yes we know what 2 days means, it’s just to bring someone here for a day, I don’t care about the rest, they have a membership elsewhere. Really poor way to try and make sales of memberships. Replace the sales people and this place is great.

Horrible is the least I can say. I feel violated in every way. This blond guy as old as my little sister around 17-18 can’t stop staring at me with my gym attire on. He comment on my body and made me feel so violated . I don’t know who raised him but he needs to get fired immediately

I used to be an Xsport member. Now after recently moving back to Illinois, I went to this LA Fitness location with a 3 day pass to see if I liked it and hopefully start a membership because I did love Xsport. The disinterested front desk worker told me to wait off to the side after I scanned my 3 day pass. Apparently I had to wait for someone to activate the code. I waited for 15-20 mins with no one addressing me. I got up and started exploring the club on my own. At 8:30 PM it was a zoo, packed with people waiting for machines, smelled gross, and looked dirty. I could've looked past all that if the employees just cared that I was there to start a membership. I ended up leaving and driving to the Planet Fitness in Plainfield. That place was spotless! And the front desk employee was so kind. He let me have a free workout after signing a waiver. Plenty of machines, no waiting, and everyone was wiping down their machines after use. For literally a quarter-half the price of LA Fitness, kind employees, and extreme cleanliness, and a good crowd, they seem like a much better fit than this LA Fitness.

First off, 50% of their cables are broken most of the time you come in. Secondly, the dumbbells are scattered everywhere and in the wrong places. Thirdly, Valerie (the "manager") is extremely rude and has a power complex. Fourthly, half of the stair stepper machines are usually out of order. Oh, and p.s. you need a lock for ur locker so don't forget to buy one (Lifetime has code locks granted for you). It closes at 7 on the weekends so if you work, good luck with working out! Also, they don't have a basketball court like most LA fitnesses. Some of the cable machines are extremely hard to enter the pin into (jammed). Lastly, the steam room barely even works and there's no button to add steam to be found. Lifetime remains superior. On the bright side, there is a variety of machines and their sauna is fairly large and nice.

THIS LA Fitness is like a gym-shaped leech because no matter how hard you try to cancel, it keeps sucking money out of your account.
You can call, beg, or even send a carrier pigeon. It doesn't matter. They will keep billing you like you're locked in a cursed contract.

The manager Jeff is a joke and is on a serious power trip. He tried to ban me just for being in the background of a video where someone else broke a rule. Apparently being near a problem now makes you the problem. Logic is not his strong suit.

Valerie, another "manager," tried to publicly call me out in front of friends for something I didn't even do. It was embarrassing for about three seconds until we all realized nobody takes her seriously anyway.

Machines? Constantly broken or under
"maintenance." The sauna was dead for two years, and when it's "on"" it can barely melt an ice cube. The steam room is basically just a moist room. Peak hours are a nightmare and you'll prolly get more oxygen and space in a packed elevator.

But don’t take my word for it; please inspect the images below as evidence. Broken cables, machines, and ripped padding establish LA fitness as the worst commercial gym in Naperville. How does a fixed bench go out of service? Not sure, but you cant count on the staff at LA to take weeks to fix it. Despite it being the middle of July, it seems that LA fitness still manages to rain due to ceiling leaks. Not to mention the lack of entertainment while preforming cardio due to entire televisions being disconnected from their treadmill counterparts.

Go anywhere else. Trust me.

LA Fitness club in Naperville at 95th street needs to improvise on teh staff they recruit. The staff mainly Kaylen (Store manager on Saturday Jul 19 at 5 PM) is very rude to the customer. I had to remind him to use better tone in his conversation and even after the tone did not improve. I would like to see what club is going to do to improve the customer service.

I took a free trial with LA fitness yesterday. Sam did a really good job in helping me. I walked in late at around 9:13 and I didn’t know we had to first see the trainer before working out so I only saw Sam at 9:20 where he asked me if I was working out that night and he allowed me to workout even before any of the formalities. After I completed my workout we had a few minutes where we discussed the possible plans. I liked his approach where he let me take a few days to decide and which I appreciate because it felt more easy going.

Infrared sauna finally fixed. Steam room is dodgy. Works about half the time. Dumbbells are nice. Lots of functional training stuff. Although they're pretty modern, there's really only one of every machine, which leads to a lot of waiting and/or changes of plan. Also only one water fountain for the entire joint

I will put 1 star for now , hope you will change something in cleaning, I don’t know what is the problem to vacuum at least 1 time in 2 days, but if the problem you don’t have budget for this , just increase membership with $5 and hire more people. I will literally pay more membership than breathe all this dust.
About sauna and steam I don’t have any complaints because you don’t care . You fixed sauna 😁😁😁, if you can call that sauna , I think outside is warmer than this sauna . So sauna is “ fixed “ but steam is down, no way to work both in same time. So please be more serious about , because when is the date to get money from account for membership I think all your costumers are serious and paying.
Have a great day

A middle aged man followed my daughter to her car and took down her license plate number and when she went to the front desk to ask for help the blonde middle age woman at the front dismissed her when she asked for help and said he can’t do anything and to stay away from him. Didn’t offer to help her talk or confront him. From a fellow woman this is disturbing and disappointing that they would dismiss her concerns for her safety.

Men’s steam room is shut down again. Never seen them both working!! Very sad! When you join in they will always say that we have them both and they work but always separate, I guess they just want to save some money on electricity. I wish they could show this in their app when sauna works and when the stem room is on! Sadly but that’s what they do ((

LA Fitness is $40 a month and is very overcrowded. Planet Fitness is $15 a month, and the only differences in amenity's are the sauna and lap pool. However, the lap pool is often occupied by swim lessons after 5 PM. If you work a 9-5 and want to swim laps, go to the LA Fitness on 75th for a better experience. Front desk workers and trainers are nice.

This place used to be a very nice one for me to go workout, but NOT anymore. They are letting more people join and it has become a very unpleasant one lately. You literally have to wait for any equipment, and I end up spending extra 30 mins to finish my planned workout. During the busiest times forget about getting open equipment to workout. It seems they’ve asked all the folks from nearby XSport fitness that closed to go to this center. I would not recommend this place to join unless you want to workout during the non-busy hours!

"I am writing to express my concerns regarding several ongoing issues at the facility. The sauna has been out of order for over a year, and more recently, the steam room has also stopped working. Additionally, the removal of the kids' club, which was previously a valuable service for parents, has caused significant inconvenience. Despite submitting multiple complaints over the past few months, I have yet to see any resolution or updates on these matters. I kindly request that these issues be addressed as soon as possible."

I recently signed up for a membership and was told the women’s steam room recently malfunctioned, but was scheduled to be fixed the following week. I looked through the reviews and noticed there’s complaints about it being broken for close to a year….a month after they told me it’ll be fixed and it’s still broken, but the MENS steam room works. This location is mostly ran by men so it’s no surprise they don’t have any urgency to fix the women’s area. As soon as the weather improves I will be visiting other gyms to join so I can cancel this membership.

DON'T DO IT!! Their rates are nearly triple since LA fitness took over from Xsport. Equipment is old, treadmills crusty with crap and dirt. Pool is of course out of working order, roped off with tape. Dirty lockers. And then on top of that, very rude staff who could care less about you - people in their 20's basically with attitudes of rude teenagers who don't know a thing about how to run a business or keep customers happy. They do not answer their phones on multiple occasions during normal business hours over multiple days calling. But they WILL however do whatever it takes to make sure you join and take your money. Expect the same practices used to get you to join multiple calls and upselling.

During my recent visits, I've noticed that the sauna has been consistently out of order, which is quite frustrating for those of us who consider it an essential part of our workout routine. The sauna is one of the main reasons I chose this gym, and its prolonged unavailability has been quite inconvenient. I hope the management prioritizes getting this issue resolved soon, as it greatly impacts the overall experience and value of the membership.

Paul T. is the best trainer and Pilates instructor EVER. I have trained with him for a really long time and was glad to see that he became a Pilates instructor at LA. I have seen so much progress as I was someone who was too scared to go to the gym. Paul helped me become more confident and treats his clients like a friend. I have learned a lot from Paul because he is so knowledgeable and training sessions don't feel too brutal because he makes them fun. I’ve been coming to this location for 2 months now and when I walk in today, they tell me my membership is only good at the other location. I questioned it and informed them I’ve been coming here for the past two months, so why is this just now being brought up. The front desk man said “sorry some of our front staff don’t know what they’re doing”. How is that my problem? I informed him that I spoke with someone a month ago about the locations and the man told me I can only come to this location.. two different answers. In order for me to keep coming to this location, I have to pay an additional $120ish dollars. I requested to cancel my membership and I have to either come in during the week between 9-5 (normal work hours) or mail in a letter. Of course they’d make it difficult to cancel your membership.

Both LA fitness and Xsport are horrible facilities and the staff reflects that. I rather pay alittle more to go to a gym that cares about their members.

I signed up for a one-month membership for my daughter, who only needed the gym temporarily, but was unexpectedly billed monthly after that initial month without signing up for any ongoing membership. When I visited in July to cancel, I was told they were in the process of a buyout by LA Fitness, and to return later to speak with a manager. Over the next few months, I returned three separate times, each time encountering a different story about why the cancellation couldn’t be processed.

Finally, a staff member named Sarah agreed to cancel the membership and initiate a refund, pending approval. She promised to call me back, but after multiple calls and messages from my side, I only got a response to tell me the membership was canceled—without any refund—and was advised that I’d need to go to court to pursue it. When I contacted LA Fitness directly, their membership services manager , Javier, said they couldn’t assist because the buyout didn't include handling previous charges, even though they continued billing under the acquired membership.

This entire experience has been incredibly frustrating. The lack of accountability and transparency is alarming. Be cautious about sharing your card details with this gym; it seems they have no integrity when it comes to handling memberships and cancellations.

I’ve gone to this gym for a long time mostly because the price is reasonable and they have a pool for lap swimming. I also like that they don’t overbook it with classes so I usually can get in and just swim laps without having to wait too long. But the reason I am writing the review today is I called to verify if they had classes today. The staff said they may not because they closed it in the morning to have the tech check the levels. But if I came in the next couple hours to call first to make sure. I then got a call back in a few minutes I wasn’t expecting to tell me the tech was there and working on the issue and it should be resolved soon. I was really surprised to see that level of customer service when I did not ask from a gym. Thanks to that staff person

I recently joined the LA Fitness Signature Club and have been really impressed with the overall experience so far. The facility is spacious, modern, and well-maintained, which makes working out here enjoyable. They have a wide variety of equipment, from free weights and machines to cardio equipment, so there’s always something available even during peak hours. The cleanliness of the gym is consistently high, with staff frequently sanitizing equipment and the locker rooms.

The group fitness classes are a huge plus. They offer everything from yoga and Pilates to high-intensity interval training and spinning. The instructors are knowledgeable, motivating, and make sure to cater to all fitness levels. I’ve tried several classes and have found each one to be engaging and challenging in the best way.

One of the standout features of the Signature Club is the amenities. The sauna, steam room, and whirlpool are great for relaxation after a tough workout. The locker rooms are also spacious and well-equipped, with plenty of showers, changing areas, and even some extra perks like towels and toiletries.

The only reason I’m not giving five stars is the membership cost, which is a bit higher than standard LA Fitness locations. However, considering the added benefits and the quality of the facilities, I think it’s worth the investment if you’re looking for a comprehensive fitness experience.

Overall, I highly recommend the LA Fitness Signature Club for anyone who is serious about their fitness journey and looking for a gym that offers a little bit of everything. It’s definitely one of the best fitness clubs in the area!

Feedback on Gym Facilities

I truly enjoy this gym and appreciate the wide range of services it offers. However, I have some concerns regarding the management and maintenance of certain facilities

Issues with Sauna and Steam Room

Unfortunately, the sauna and steam room have been out of service for nearly a year. This has been disappointing for many members who rely on these amenities for their fitness and relaxation routines.

### Recent Developments

Interestingly, the steam room has recently started functioning again, but it only operates during limited hours, typically from 8 or 9 AM. This schedule seems illogical, as it restricts access for members who may want to use it earlier in the day.

### Seeking Solutions

I believe it may be worth exploring whether there are any legal avenues to address these ongoing issues. Can I ask for my money back? However, my primary hope is that the management can prioritize the maintenance of these facilities to enhance the overall experience for all members.

Thank you for considering this feedback!

This gym has awesome staff and classes. Only issue is we’re paying a membership fee but haven’t been able to access the stream room or sauna in almost a year. This was a perk for me when signing up at LA Fitness. It’s always the same answer “we’re waiting on the parts”. I’m about to cancel and go to VASA. This location rips people off. They charge special rates for amenities they don't provide. They have closed the other 2 surrounding locations and don't honor members to use this location without a increase in monthly fee. Reccomend to cancel your membership and go elsewhere since they won't allow you to use this location, and anyone in the list of contacts won't budge. I have been a member of this "Signature Club" since it opened in 2019. The facility itself is good and has ample equipment. Things have started to go down hill , however since it has been the beneficiary of 3 major facilities in the Naperville area closing up. The club is now busier than ever. That is good and bad. The management has failed to increase maintenance staff and personnel to do the everyday managing of the workout area. The infra red sauna has been out of service for almost a year. (They should get another type of sauna if they cannot service or keep the existing one operational). Also the steam room is often out of service and when working , people are often standing shoulder to shoulder in it because the sauna is out.
The men's washroom area is not properly maintained for cleanliness. There is always urine on the floor in front of the urinals. When I come in early in the morning the floors have not been cleaned overnight and the toilet paper holders often have no supply.
Some members seem to think it is cool to leave several plates on equipment when they finish with it, leaving women and others to struggle with removing them. I have never seen staff members monitoring this or take it upon themselves to do it.
Covid took care of the towel service for us (somewhat understandable). The afternoon high school overrun often leads to large groups of kids hanging out on several pieces of equipment that they are not using while waiting for their turn in the rotation for the one that they are using.
Not sure what "Signature Club" means, but it certainly is not what I was told to expect.

My husband & I have been training with Patrick J for a couple of months now and we feel so much stronger & healthier. I don't focus on the scale but I'm certain I've lost several inches if not pounds. I feel great! Patrick is an awesome PT who listens to our needs/goals and adapts our workouts accordingly. He pushes us out of our comfort zone which we appreciate while keeping the workouts fun... never boring! If you're looking for a great trainer, check out Patrick at the Signature Club in Naperville on Rte59.
You won't regret it!!!

Make sure you don't have to deal with "Chad" answering the phone. He is extremely rude, unhelpful and apparently likes cussing at customers on the phone. Also, shout out to the now CLOSED Esporta in Oswego for closing without sending notifications, just posting a sign on the door saying "your membership was transferred to Naperville" while still charging me every month. Zero stars.

It’s fine. There are a bunch of machines and a decent amount of free weights, barbells, etc.

Joined when they first opened 95th street in Naperville. It has started to go down hill. Sauna has been down forever, hot tube is dirty, and several machines are broken. When I brought the dirty hot tub to the staff’s attention they could not tell me how often it is cleaned, and just told me to talk to the manger who of course was not available. Staff could not have cared less and seemed annoyed that I was bothering them.

I am 76 years old and I felt like I was really getting out of shape. Stopped working out during COVID and didn’t realize how out of shape I was. I decided to join LA fitness and thought I needed extra help so I started working with a trainer. The first trainer was okay but I didn’t always feel like I was always getting the most from my workouts. Then I started training with my current trainer Paul T. Paul has really been outstanding and makes sure I have a great workout every time out. He really knows what he is doing and knows what I need. I highly recommend Paul T. as a personal trainer. He has really been what I need in achieving my goals. I have been able to achieve more than I thought I could since working with Paul.

I love this gym and its equipment as it’s extremely modern and spacious; however, the sauna room has been down for 4 months. They have not given customers an update or any explanation as to why the room is down. With this being a signature club, it is disappointing to see one of the features LA fitness advertises be down for so long. I have also heard that the pool water is extremely cold in the mornings.

I have been working with trainer Paul Tolentino. As an 80+ woman with no gym experience I was reluctant to work with a young man. Paul is an amazing trainer well versed not only in exercise but in physiology of body and nutrition. He has opened my eyes and encouraged me to the need, despite my age, to work hard. He has never made me feel anything but positive about my accomplishments plus he has a great personality and seems to have the respect of many clients. I enjoy my sessions with him. I started going to LA Fitness, Naperville just under 2 years ago. I joined their personal training program and was introduced to Paul. He is THE best PT I have ever had. He is exceptionally knowledgeable, pushes you to the limits and helps you smash goals. I’ve recently had surgery and he’s been able to guide me safely back into training and regrown my confidence. We always do something different from the last week and it’s challenging but super fun! Anyone looking for a PT I would 10000% recommend Paul.

The gym is alright, it gets the job done. The turf and HIIT room are good resources they have there. Management can use some improvement when it comes to customer service overall. If you’re looking for a trainer with good energy, professionalism and knowledge, hands down Paul Tolentino is the Trainer to connect with. He's been there since the gym first opened and you can tell the members really enjoy him.

Workout equipment is ordinary very Vanilla. Parking can be challenging during prime hours and has gotten worse with the other local LA Fitness closing. Machines are cleaned pretty well. A lot of the tread mills are missing cup holders and have garbage stuck in where the cup holder used to be. Some TVs work and some TVs give you a blue screen to watch while you are running. Bring your phone and headphones. The last couple of visits, the sauna, or whirlpool, or both were out of order. I wouldn't recommend personal training you can get better results with smaller gyms in the area who will give the same service for half the cost or free.

Locker room lifting!
Don't leave anything valuable in your locker room, even if you have a lock! Keep your phone, wallet and keys with you all the time. Gym management should upgrade locker security and raise awareness to their customers! The gym is almost always crowded because of other LA Fitness locations around were permanently closed. A lot of space is taken by personal trainers. Sauna, hot tub is almost out of order 50% of the year. Also, takes a few months for them to fix the equipment which doesn't work.

I’ve been very disappointed in this gym. I workout there right when it opens, 5AM. None of the machines have been re-racked! Squat rack, bench press, leg press, glute bridge barbell in personal training area, the bicep curl EZ bar - all of them have multiple plates. What does the closing staff do? There are plates everywhere! To use machines properly I need to clean up after someone else. Unacceptable. The closing staff should be cleaning up the mess left from the night before. Obviously this is on the members to rerack their weights but staff needs to do a better job at asking this of the members and cleaning up after them if not. Bare minimum would be for the closing staff to re-rack every night.
Members need to do a better job at being courteous and treating equipment respectfully as all members use it. And don’t get me started on the evening members that all slam their weights. Again- where is the staff telling them not to do this?
Only giving it two stars because the equipment itself is decent. But staff and members make it an unenjoyable workout environment.

Do NOT bring anything into the locker room of value. Don't even use the lockers period. Great gym!
I was able to start working out 9months postpartum once I got my doctor’s OK and over a year later, I’m still working out with my trainer, Paul.
I was able to sit down with him and write down my goals. We’ve had good months and we’ve had months where I didn’t show up 🤦🏾‍♀️😅

Cons:
- the app is not my fave, maybe I’m not using it right but 🤷🏾‍♀️ and wish the kids club was still a thing! (not this gym’s fault so not taking off a star for it)
- I wish some parts of the gym would be cleaner (vents, drains, steam room and mats)

But all in all great staff, very reliable team and absolutely best trainer!
I definitely got what I came for and I’m just working on maintaining it.
It costs a pretty penny! But I rather spend it towards bettering my health than more brunches I’ll pay for later 😅

Overall, i did expect them to be at 3.7 star level.
Once i took a look at their pool, i got interested. Cuz not all fitness clubs can provide a clean swimming area.
Then, still, i recognized i have a long 12 mins driving distance up here and was about to quit.
But Valerie made me think 2 times over on my decision. She was supportive even after knowing me canceling my personal trainor sessions. She is supper helpful and has an awesome personality, not a push seller and professional guid(high five and high 7 ******* to her). So i chose to stay with monthly membership for now. At the end of the day, we all deserve supportive service.

I'm new to this facility but so far have been happy with what I've used, although I cannot speak to the sauna, pool or classes. I have had a few training sessions with Valerie and Susan. I have scoliosis which limits some movements and makes it difficult to engage other muscles. I was not planning on working with any trainers on an on-going basis, until Valerie and Susan demonstrated that they understand the limitations and hurdles of scoliosis. When this gym opened it was great. Cleanliness and staff friendliness was off the charts. Now the facilities you pay for a regularly broken (the sauna, steam room, and spa seem to be a coin flip on every visit). Edit: now they are closing both the Diehl road AND the Bolingbrook locations and everyone is jamming into this last remaining location. Oh, and the locker room and sauna are still really dirt. Piles of dirt and sand? are never cleaned up by some of the machines. What gives? You only have one gym left in the area and you still refuse to clean it? Parts of the gym are permanently dirty and never cleaned, some equipment where people put their shoes is never cleaned. The men's locker room just gets darker and darker with dirt, no one ever cleans the locker room floor.
