I adore this place! The pool is heated, and most of the equipment is in good condition. They respond to comments regarding the equipment. It's fun because a lot of attractive people frequent this place. The course selection is adequate in my perspective. Although I would want more yoga classes, perhaps there isn't a strong enough demand. When the personal training sessions are over, especially, I wish they weren't being so frugal with the personal training space, but I understand. The changing areas are lovely. The restrooms and the rest of the facility seem to be fairly clean. Additionally, the personnel is always friendly.

Truly one of the best gyms ever.

For the past 15 years, this gym was my home. Convenient, local, great staff, simple but effective equipment. And Racquetball courts. I’m happy here.

So sad that LA Fitness corporate decided to remove the gym CLOSEST to the highway… and not other gyms. The other gyms are just crammed full of people.

The only thing I wish is that gyms could scan for insanity at the door and turn away trash, which found a need for fitness from noon to sunset.

Part of me wishes this were just temporary for a renovation.

Staff: 5 stars. Friendliest of any LA club I’ve been to. Very helpful, kind, and added a nice community feel to the club.

Location: 5 stars. Next to the highways and accessible from Naperville, Aurora, Wheaton. Real shame it’s closing.

Etiquette of other patrons: 1 star. I don’t know what it is about this gym, but moreso than any gym I’ve ever been to, there would always be lots of people misusing equipment or not re-racking their weights, which is frustrating during busy hours.

Cleanliness: 1 star unfortunately. The cleaning staff would have no problem getting all up in your business to mop the floor next to you during the middle of your workout (which seems like a safety hazard), but the locker room here was absolutely disgusting. Moldy showers, trash all over the floor at all times. Reminded me of my old fraternity.

Equipment: 4 stars. Two smith machines, three squat racks, and four bench presses. Awesome, never had to wait for equipment. However, very outdated compared to other clubs. Also, right after this gym announced they were closing in about a month, they sold or disposed of all the 30 lb dumbbells?? Bizarre.

This gym was solid overall and a very important part of my fitness journey over the last two years. I will greatly miss the convenience of its location and the friendliness of its front desk staff and trainers. I will not miss its disgusting locker-room or outdated equipment. Shame on LA for not keeping this club going. I do hope someday it will reopen. What else could they possibly do with that building?

This Gym has had it's up's and downs over its 15 year lifespan. It was leaked last week that this Gym was closing and made official March 2nd. Gym staff in the morning has always had it's difficultly for keeping staff and opening up on time. Leading to its cleaning professionals to open the gym instead of front desk staff. Sad to see this location close. Weird to think this location has never seen an upgrade.

I have been coming to this LA fitness for the past one year. It was really good at the beginning but now it gets super crowded and they only have few machines. It is extremely hard to get a great workout done here since it is so busy. If you wanna come to get some cardio done then that is a different story, but if you wanna come here for a real workout, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!

They also makes cancellation extremely hard. I decided to cancel my membership today but the girl at the front desk said, you can only cancel your membership through the GM and she will be out of town for a week, so not sure what that means. I told her to go and ask the assistant manager if I can cancel it now since I already sign up in different gym, they said no. So now I have to leave work early tomorrow so that I can come here and cancel my membership. When I sighed up here it was a whole different experience, but now that I wanna leave, it is almost impossible. DON’T GET STUCK WITH LA FITNESS ):

You can teach old dogs new tricks. Mike Filip calling me and getting me in for a fitness assessment was a great wake up call for me. Rejoining since the initial pandemic closing, my rusty bones and brain for this type of stress needed the conversation and physical workout Mike offers.
His ability to listen and offer his perspective with empathy was refreshing. No chip on his shoulder and he didn’t call me bro. He hooked me in for personal training as soon as my hand surgery is in the past and I’ve been given the green light by my Doctor. His demeanor and confidence are not always the combination you receive in gym settings from younger staff. I hope the entire staff learns from him and takes advantage of the positive influence they have in front of them. He was also patient with me and rescheduled the fitness assessment to fit my schedule. The company would only have themselves to blame if they don’t support and encourage his growth with the company. One of those easy and obvious choices to help grow with.

Not great compared to other LA Fitnesses I’ve been to. There’s one, maybe two, friendly staff members. Locker rooms smell. Cleaning staff doesn’t try to work around guests. One of the desk associates will harass everyone in the gym 5 minutes before close to make sure they are headed to the locker room. If not, he stands by the hallway yelling “5 minutes”.

Worst part, and the thing that really turned me off to this place, was having my locker broken into with zero follow-up. Went to grab my bag around 9pm, lock was cut and tossed in the trash, and my wallet was gone. Luckily they left my car keys and bag. Lost over $300. Filed a police report (I guess the officer had already been there that day for the same thing so he was close by). I was told the GM would contact me a couple of days later and never heard anything. No apology. No accountability. The attendant basically said it’s happened before and it will probably happen again. When I do still workout here, I carry my bag with me now.

The gym itself is nice but don't come here if you care about your safety. They don't enforce masks at all so there's always a handful of gym douches walking around breathing and spitting on everyone and everything like they own the place. There's a lot of elderly people that frequent this gym and I feel bad for them and worry for their safety. Of course it's always the men that like to ogle and creep on women (like myself) who don't wear masks or care about anyone else's safety/comfort.

I have a membership with LA fitness in which I can go to any location. This is my homebase location and honestly probably my favorite one out of several that I’ve been to. This staff is always extremely friendly and very nice and accommodating. Considering I am not from Naperville and I’ve only moved here a few years ago it’s nice to be able to go somewhere in the area where I feel so comfortable.

Staff does not ask members to exercise in designated areas. People exercise wherever they want all around the gym extremely close to each other. Swimming pool water is too cold here. They charged my card for second month despite me asking to cancel my membership saying they need 2 weeks of notice, and that front desk cannot cancel membership only someone named stephanie can help with membership cancellation and that I would need to stop by this branch between 9am to 5pm mon through fri to meet stephanie. So I had to take time off from work to come here and cancel my membership. I do not recommend this branch to anyone. Sauna, hot pool are not accessible at this time. Towel/shampoo is not provided at this location. Showers have no doors, there is a curtain which is half way see through. Fitness classes are mostly around day time on weekdays. Gym closes too soon at night. Hence will be going to a different gym which is open 24/7. I was criticized and labeled as old school by staff for not owning an iPhone during the initial membership sign up. I request higher level management to watch camera footage on a daily basis and make sure vulgarity around the gym is minimized, provide a safe environment for others to feel comfortable enough to work out here!

I've been a member here for nearly 4 years. Just before they closed for the pandemic my fiance was assaulted by a guest and he was ejected (though I think he may have been allowed to rejoin). She decided she was unsafe there. Cut to now she was interested in rejoining to manage her anxiety so I got her a week pass. I had a run-in with the manager at this club this summer. They had a policy that you needed a face mask to enter the club. Great -- I observe Covid safety. The problem was that once you passed beyond the front desk nearly everyone discarded their masks! Manager had no problem with this so I stopped going to that club. I went back yesterday and they now post a sign saying masks are required in the club. Too bad they don't say that the masks need to be wirn on your face! Closed the gym on March 16th (promising to give back the remainder of the days lost.. 14 days) then opens on June 26th and charges the full monthly dues for July and an extra $5 for the 4 days in June.... All these reviews make me chuckle because I used to workout in the Northbrook LA Fitness AND that's an LA Fitness I wouldn't recommend to anyone in the world. This LA fitness is amazing, clean, everyone respects the equipment, plus the women's locker rooms are immaculate, and the sauna is fantastic. Trust me, I know a bad gym when I see one, I've worked out at Xsport off of 355 and this gym is great compared to others even for the price.

Just moved from the west coast and this LA fitness is pretty terrible. It strange for a gym to not offer towels and the only things offered in the vending machines are chips and candy. The locker room was pretty trashed too with garbage all over the floor.. will try a different one in IL but might have to look into going to xsport or a better maintained gym.

It’s just as great as Lifetime Fitness for half the price. Sure you don’t get the rock climbing walls, but you still get the hot tub, pools, basketball court, and a ton of exercise equipment! If you’re going to be signing up make sure to go with Mike! He’s a great guy, and was able to help me financially make the right decision joining this gym.

Today was my first time back at the gym for YEARS! I had a free training season with Chris G. The club was beautiful and clean. No weird smells. Good music playing. Chris was a joy to spend time with. Super informative, great personality, smiled and kept the conversation alive the whole time. He makes you feel like you’re a person. If the rest of the staff is half of a conversationalist and half of the warm personality I KNOW I will have a great time at this fitness club. The gym itself has a fair selection of equipment. That area is fairly well maintained, cleaned, etc. They repair things quickly when machines break down.
I'm quite disappointed in the pool and bathrooms of the gym. The pool is constantly closed, including the hot tub. The bathrooms are gross, and never cleaned. The men's sauna was always flaky, but for the last few months, it doesn't warm up at all anymore - even after they've repaired it.

This review is for all if you who is looking for membership at LA Fitness. NEVER NEVER give your credit card information on the phone to them. The staff member overcharged me for the membership 4 months ago and the refund has not been issued until now. When I follow up, the club manager tells me that I should get my refund in couple days. Then I got another random charge under Annual fee on my credit card yesterday. When asked the staff to explain the fee, he just apologized for the charges but no more explanation provided. I guess when they get your credit card number, they will just charge you whenever they want. I’m very disappointed with their customer service. I really hope there was an accountability between the branches and whoever is running the show.

Aside from the constant smell of sweat and the potential of things being stolen from you at any moment, after being a customer for over a year getting swoler than mr Arnold himself.. they will make you jump through more hoops than an animal in the circus to cancel your membership. This is 2019 we are so technically advanced I can be sitting in my car outside the building writing this review to be viewed by millions of individuals all around the world, yet this corporation can’t figure out how to program into their system a way for me to cancel membership without showing up Monday-Friday during prime work hours to talk to a specific individual??? No I want to cancel and I want it to be convinent as I am living in the age of technology . Oh wait There is another way to cancel? Yes there is !! But guess what.. that requires paying to mail in a letter to corporate ? What is this ? The Stone Age ? I will gladly program in a way for users to be able to cancel via the website where I already had to type in my account number and credit information to view my account to print a letter to mail in to cancel??? This is a JOKE! They are trying to milk you for every penny possible . Let’s make it as hard as we can possibly imagine to cancel so people get stuck paying for additional months . This should be considered criminal. If I show up and tell you to stop charging me.. you stop charging me. If I call in and tell you to stop charging me you stop charging me.

Save your future self a headache and pick a different gym that won’t try and squeeze extra months of cash out of you when you eventually decide to cancel. This is sad, honestly in all my life this is the only time I have ever wrote a review because the professionalism here is pathetic . Do you really want to support these criminals ? Yes criminals because they are robbing people everyday with this planned out business strategy of making it EXTREMELY difficult to cancel.
