Nikki is truly one of the best instructors I’ve ever had. She always shows up energized and ready to make every class fun, motivating, and different from the last. I love how she even brings her own equipment to make sure we have everything we need and to keep the workouts exciting.
She’s incredibly energetic, charismatic, and always finds a way to make us laugh while still pushing us to work hard. You can really feel how much she cares about her classes and her students.
Honestly, Nikki is one of the greatest teachers at the gym, and I’d love to see even more classes from her. Highly recommended! 💪✨

Max is amazing. After years away from the gym, feeling old and out of shape, I was anxious about joining LAF. Came in as guest pass. Just wanted to workout with my buddy and check out the gym. Front desk made me go through a 30 minute meeting about the gym. Waste of time. Guy at desk was great but very forced. Told them politely that just wanted to get quick workout in and if I liked it I would sign up. Complete waste of 30 minutes.

My friend brought me as her guest and I was pretty unhappy with the experience. The male employee at the front desk brought us back to his desk to register. He collected all of my contact information and proceeded to hand us off to a different male employee who collected the exact same information. He then proceeded to ask for my body metrics and then had me use a little machine to calculate my body fat percentage which resulted in him showing me the “fat scale” that placed me in the overweight category. I found this extremely invasive and embarrassing, especially considering I am an average weight for my age, gender, and height. But even if I wasn’t, how LA Fitness thinks fat shaming is appropriate let alone a good tactic for selling memberships is beyond me. There’s no shot I’ll be joining an LA Fitness after that ridiculous experience. Not to mention they wasted 20 minutes of our time putting me through this little fat show. The women’s locker room was also coated in layers of hair and we couldn’t find two of the same hand weights. Terrible atmosphere unless you’re a teenage boy (skinny only tho!!!!)

Everything is fine except that the staff at the counter is extremely rude. If the machines take your money without giving you the selected item, expect to have to call customer support, because the employees working there won’t lift a finger from the counter.

Very bad experience. I came just to open a membership, but they kept trying to sell me their training sessions. I understand that it’s their job, but too much is too much. There has to be a limit — if someone says they’re not interested, why keep pushing? I regret even coming to this gym and spending $188 on the opening day and then another $59 two weeks later for the annual fee. For what exactly?

I had a shocking experience this morning at LA Fitness in Westmont. The manager, Rebeca K., and Vanessa, the person at the front desk, belittled me in front of other members, which deeply affected me.
I was treated with condescension and mockery. They told me to leave the premises and insulted me by calling me an 'uncivilized' person. I find this attitude deplorable and shocking from professionals who are supposed to welcome and respect their clients. Being humiliated in front of other people is a very difficult experience to go through, and I am still in shock from the incident."🇲🇫 During my 5 days in the USA, I met many worderful People, and my overall experience was positive. However, this particular interaction was horrific and revealed the negative side of the country.

Very bad experience.
My brothers, sisters, and I were subjected to discriminatory and unprofessional behavior from the manager Rebecca and Vanessa at the front desk.
We have been regular customers for several weeks and have always been well received by the other staff, yet we were denied entry even though our passes were valid.
Their attitude was cold, mocking, and contemptuous. They told us to leave, saying that “it was not a good day” for us to work out, and called us “uncivilized people” in front of other customers.

This is the worst treatment I have ever experienced in any gym. Today, at LA Fitness Westmont, the Member Services Supervisor, Rebecca, deliberately provoked me, smirked in my face, and told me, “today is a bad day for you to come to the gym.” and "maybe you should leave". Vanessa was there as well and her attitude was as bad as Rebecca.
I am a Black woman in cancer remission with high blood pressure. I come to this gym to improve my health and feel better. Rebecca’s targeted harassment and racial profiling raised my blood pressure so high that I left shaken and deeply upset.
Her behavior was intentional, hostile, and meant to make me feel unwelcome in a place where I pay to belong. This was not just unprofessional it was harassment, discrimination, and a threat to my well-being.
LA Fitness must take immediate action to remove Rebecca from this position. Keeping her sends the message that discrimination and harming members’ health is tolerated here.
Update when asked to Rebecca to have corporate email she told me that I am uncivilized. All the team is always so friendly and professional. However, today I was shocked, devastated, and embarrassed, as she humiliated me. I am so upset and aggravated. By this attitude

Today I made a comment to the front desk that in addition to the normal garbage there are empty beer cans in the men's shower area. The reply was somebody put them for a purpose, what purpose do empty beer cans have in the LA fitness I don't think they are licensed to serve alcohol there.
If they allow alcohol in the club, what else is going on there?
One could argue this is not a safe place when you have people openly drinking alcohol with minors around.

Zero stars. I’ve been to many gyms over the years, but I’ve never encountered such unprofessional behavior from a front desk team. I tried to use a guest pass, and they denied my entry with the vague excuse that “it’s not in the system.” I was seriously considering signing up for a membership, but I’m glad I saw this side of their service before committing. Both the front desk staff and the sales guy lacked even basic customer service skills — incredibly rude and dismissive. Stay away.

Went to the gym today to find men working in the women's locker room. Yes, there were signs as you walked in. This is just so wrong as it was about 1pm and the gym and locker room was very busy. I find this very disturbing as not everyone has a problem because it was posted but I find it in very poor taste for any business to have men working in a women's locker room or bathroom in the middle of the day. Find a better time to have this work done.
They were also removing the paper towel dispenser and replacing them with blow dryers. Do they know that the blow dryers just spread more germs.
Another little fact for the day. As usual the spa(hot tub) was down for maintenance again. Any guesses how long that will be before that's fixed.
I could go on about how this gym doesn't care about their members and their safety. I'm sure we will be looking at other options soon.

Shame on LA Fitness! I have never been more appalled at an establishment. A gym must provide a safe and comfortable space for a workout and self improvement. Self improvement at whatever rate, capability or state personally needed. What the Westmont LA fitness provides is the exact opposite. My sister signed up for a membership here to maintain her already fit and healthy lifestyle. She has been absolutely abused and shamed by the staff in MULTIPLE INSTANCES. The last straw was when an employee named John, completely unprompted, approached her to ask if she was meeting her fitness goals. She answered yes, she was happy with where she was at. He proceeds to say “let’s put that to the test” and set a scale at her feet, pressuring her to weigh in as he watches!! He then does some “calculations” and tells her her body’s age is 45… she’s a fit 28yr old woman. LA Fitness, you are preying on your clients with false and unregulated fitness calculations and accusations of being overweight, unhealthy and in need of this or that add-on. This business model can cause so much psychological damage to impressionable minds. It is bullying, plain and simple. A good business should be modeled with respect, trust and empathy in mind. I see none of that here.

The steam room and sauna have been out of service for days with no clear updates. I called to check, but staff gave vague responses and showed little concern. These amenities were a key reason I joined, and it’s frustrating to keep paying full fees without access or accountability. Please fix the issue or at least communicate honestly with members.

Generally pretty solid place all around, complaints of people saying equipment is broken because I only ever come across it one time and the staff was quick to respond.
My only complaint is that the climate control in the place I swear is set to like 75°. Every time I go in there and run I'm pretty sure I'm going to suffocate from heat exhaustion.

This gym is fantastic. Always clean. Great facilities. Love the infrared sauna but the best part is my trainer Johnny Z! He's encouraging and thoughtful with his workouts in a way that keeps me inspired and challenged. I'm a working mom, with very limited time and he makes the most of whatever I can put in without judgement, which keeps me motivated to work even harder. He also does not go easy on me—the attack bike is my personal nemesis.
I feel like he takes me seriously and is invested in my growth. He has a talent for training and making it feel truly personal. I can't recommend him enough. Unless you're trying to get my time slot, in which case, Dibs.

I’ve been training with Johnny Zamora for over a year and a half now, and I can honestly say it’s one of the best decisions I’ve made for my health and well-being. We meet once a week for in-person sessions, and he also provides me with a well-structured, easy-to-follow super practical plan for nutrition and workout to stay on track for the rest of the week. Men's locker was extremely dirty on a consistent basis. When my yearly membership was up for renewal, somebody reached out via email. I told them about the issue and that I might consider staying at a lower rate because, despite the filthy locker rooms this was the most convenient location - he responded saying that he was just from a corporate call center not directly affiliated with that location and that he couldn't do anything about. Bad customer service at the gym as well. The little staff they do have are just uninterested people at the front desk who are on their phones constantly - hardly ever greet customers who are coming in and out. Cancelled.

Based off the 4 months I’ve been going to this location, Ide rate this gym 6.4/10 & not worth the price. The suana hasn’t been working for years which is the #1 reason why this gym has a low rating. Other than that, the staff are very friendly, basketball court is decent, locker room is very spacious.
Concern #1: TOO MANY PEOPLE! During peak hours (which is literally 4-8pm), you’re lucky if you can find an open treadmill, bench, or machine. There’s simply too many people for the amount of machines that there are, and it makes the whole experience unenjoyable. I’m pretty sure there’s only around 6 benches, 7 free weight benches, and 5 squat racks which is fine if the gym wasn’t always so packed.
Concern #2: The hours honestly suck. Closing at 9pm on a Friday is way too early, and closing at 7pm on weekends is ABSURD! I would go to the gym at 10pm if it meant not having to worry about finding an open machine.
Concern #3: The cleaning wipes for the machines are very far & very limited. I counted 4 for the entire gym which leads to people not cleaning their machines after using it. Last time I went, the nearest cleaning wipe dispenser was out of wipes so I walked to the other side of the gym just so I could clean my machine. Not cool.
Final verdict: This is the only gym in the area & teens are on summer break which is probably why it’s so packed. Adding more machines & closing at a later time would definitely make this location a lot better. GO TO CFX INSTEAD!

We have explored other gym memberships. There are definitely some opportunities to improve the equipment and it seems like the Sauna in the men’s room is finally working. The five stars are for our trainer Johnny! We will continue to be here as long as he is there. I have been training on and off with trainers for about 10 years, Johnny by far goes above and beyond his duties. He has a passion for what he does and focuses on the whole body (diet, nutrition, exercise). He always gives us the extra push we need and is very flexible with our schedules. I injured my rotator cuff last year and he came up with a personalized routine for me, happy to say my shoulder is back to 100%. If you are looking to train don’t hesitate to ask for Johnny!

I joined LA Fitness in Westmont and purchased a package of personal training sessions through a Black Friday special. I was randomly paired with a Johnny and seriously hit the jackpot. He is a phenomenal personal trainer. I am stronger now than I was at age 20. I like the way my clothes fit, I like the way I feel, and because of that I’ve also been motivated to keep improving my diet so that I can continue on this journey successfully. Johnny pushes me, doesn’t let me give up on myself during sessions, and best of all he practices what he preaches - he is totally dedicated to his own health and fitness. He also is very conscious of my lower back issues and customizes our workouts to help me strengthen muscles that support my back, which I really appreciate. As long as Johnny is a trainer at LA fitness I will definitely stay!

Very Happy - My Wife and I joined LA Fitness in August 2024. Being in our 60s, it is important to us to exercise without risking injury. I like this gym, but I had a really bad experience with the old manager. He kind of made my friend feel the uncomfortable when she came in as my guest but the new manager is the same manager that was at my main LA fitness gym here in countryside and I walked in one day and saw him and I was like oh hi and he was really sweet and he also seems to be kind of turning the club around Making sure the weights are organized and everything’s kept clean. I don’t particularly understand what makes this a signature club over other gyms but my family membership pass allows me to go to it so that’s cool. I do wish that they put together a volleyball league or club during the winters so that me and my friends who belong to LA fitness could come, but other than that I couldn’t ask for anything more.

Went in to activate a membership which was already paid for..some older dude named Ernest gave me an attitude straight from the jump. He claimed this was his gym and he's the manager and that he's been with the company for many years. I could care less to be honest with you. He was extremely hostile and was in my space and refused to back off while I was talking to another associate. He said well no this is my gym so I'm going to stand in your face all I want. Is this really what LA Fitness has become? If he's been there for years that's not something to brag about....acting like that. Taking my company employees to lifetime straight up because of this seriously unprofessional dude who was clearly not a manager. This rating is about Lafitness management. I cane here and took a kickboxing class with Nikki.B. I came back the following week to some old guy named who does not do kickboxing and everyone is looking around to see what’s going on in class. I asked the people what happened to Nikki and they said “they replaced her , won’t bring her back and does not care what the members want , Lafitness does this a lot to their instructors. “ So now the only other kickboxing class is at 5:45pm and I can’t make that one . That’s too bad she was very nice, professional and helped me with my form and boy did we workout! The class after with Anne was boring and she’s extremely rude to the members and doesn’t do any of the workout. The front staff seems inattentive and it’s hard to get an available stair master so I would need to go to classes. I might try another location .

I joined LA Fitness and the manager suggested I meet with a trainer to begin. I am so happy he suggested it. He paired me with Brittany M and I couldn’t be happier! She is amazing! She never sells quick fixes—just thoughtful tweaks and workouts that somehow push me without burning me out. One week the scale barely moves, the next week it surprises me, and she treats both as wins. I’ve been a member since 2021, and the place has gone downhill every year. The sauna has been broken for months with no signs of repair. The facility is dirty — half the sinks don’t work, and finding one with soap feels like winning the lottery. I even brought a guest recently, and after waiting 20 minutes at the front desk just to get checked in, we gave up and left. On top of that, there’s an individual who bullies his way around the gym, bumping into people and stealing machines mid-set, creating an unsafe environment. Reporting him to the front desk is a joke — be prepared for a shouting match and a lecture about his PTSD, as if it’s somehow our responsibility to tiptoe around him for our own safety.

When I first signed up I had no intentions of using a personal trainer, but then I realized I haven’t been to a gym in years and felt lost. I decided to do a month of personal training, but after meeting and working with Johnny, I’ve continued working with him for 6 months now. He is absolutely amazing. Being almost 40 I was afraid of overuse injuries, but he has kept me healthy and I truly feel like I’m in the best shape of my life. He’s brought back my confidence after having 3 kids in the gym, as well as my life. I cannot recommend him enough. He is a great trainer as well as a person! If you’re nervous about getting back into the gym, go see Johnny. He will always make you feel welcome and like you’re working out with a friend!

The gym itself is nice, but the staff was extremely unwelcoming. Vanessa at the front desk came across as passive-aggressive during our interaction. She mistakenly referred to my son as a girl, and when I corrected her, she didn’t acknowledge the mistake. She then proceeded to ask my minor child for a photo ID, which felt inappropriate and unnecessary. The entire experience was disorganized and uncomfortable. It’s clear that some additional training in customer service and professionalism is needed. Given the overall atmosphere, I’m seriously considering canceling my membership and taking my business elsewhere.

Keep your children away from here. This place needs to be reported for multiple issues. #1. The manager named Rebecca and a child day care worker BOTH, that's TWO ADULTS let my 5 year old run around the gym while I was in the bathroom and his finger got crushed between weights. I asked the "manager" you guys don't know how to grab a child by the arm to keep him from getting out and getting hurt??? And she proceeds to tell me "I think you guys are done for the day". Since that traumatic day I've been desperately trying to get a hold of upper management and NO ONE would help me so now I'm getting legal help instead. Not to mention, the personal trainers are scammers, Making you pay a huge amount for 2 sessions on paper but promising 10 sessions total and you ain't even got one full actual session. And the sauna has been under repair for years. They have no intention to actually fix it. This place is most likely going to be shut down like all the others once my attorney gets an order in audit and investigate their cameras especially because of the fact like two grown adults couldn't keep one 5 year old child who's Slightly on the autism spectrum safe then refuse to get me to speak with a regional manager ro report their wrong doing.

This gym is a joke. Steam sauna broken—no notice. Infrared sauna hasn't worked in 3+ months. Showers are disgusting: hair everywhere, mold on the ceiling and shower heads.

when i signed up for LA Fitness, the sales guy sold me on the package that would allow me to access all the LA Fitness locations nationwide. I've been going to a few locations around chicagoland and never had a problem until yesterday.
I had been going to this Westmont location for about a year with no issues. Yesterday the staff stopped me for the first time in a year and told me that I needed to pay more money because this was a "signature club". I explained that I had been going to this location for a year without having to pay extra and if I had known that it was extra I would have gone to another location. I asked since this is the first time after a whole year that I have been notified about this, can I just do my workout here one more time and not come back? The staff refused to allow me in and I begrudgingly paid $10 to do my normal workout (didn't have time to drive to another location). It bothered me that the staff seemed to prioritize money grabbing rather than customer service.

it's apparent why this location receives bad reviews.
after getting a tour of the facility, I was interested in working out later to kick off my 3 day trial. upon returning, the front desk was confused on the paper pass that I received from the sales rep and directed me to the manager to get this fixed.
the manager mentioned how I should have received an activation email, which I never received. he insisted I did since he can see an opened receipt - which I never did. he didn't have a solution other than signing up for membership.
not only did he not resolve the issue to give me a 3 day trial, he pointed me back to the original sales rep. he then continued to talk poorly of how there were gaps in the way I was walked through in the tour. this negative response you give regarding your employees is a reflection of management - not the rep.
I was very happy with my workout but unfortunately I wasn't with the staff experience as it will be an awkward return to the facility.

The staff is great but the machines are old and definitely needs to be upgraded. The men locker room is clean but the people get in the hot tub naked and you're not supposed to . They need to put some signs in there for that . Also I observed plenty leave right out the bathroom stall and do not I repeat do not wash their hands .So I hope you'll definitely wash off the machines before using them .

Today, on 02/08/25 @ 10:00am, I went to LA Fitness, Westmont, IL with my grandson with a VIP Pass issued by me to my grandson. After checking in, front desk asked me to wait & put me in touch with Mr. Ernest, Sales Agent. REGRETFULLY, this Agent tried to sell membership against our will. He said either I should upgrade my membership to allow him OR he should buy his own membership. When I told him he has VIP Guest Pass and bar code scanned. He replied that scanning is only to inform him from front desk that he is in. He also said that my grandson cannot get a VIP Pass if he was already a member before and not right now. He then confirmed that there is no "small print" online about this restriction of getting VIP Pass. SUCH UNETHICAL, CHEATERS ARE WAITING FOR INNOCENT PEOPLE TO FORCE MEMBERSHIP AND ACT AS IF THEY OWN THE GYM, CAN MAKE THEIR OWN RULE. VERY VERY SAD, DISGRACEFUL ORGANIZATIONAL TACTICS.

I scheduled Personal Training with Edgar to begin my fitness and weight loss journey. Edgar was professional and found a variety of exercises that were very effective in helping me meet my goals of strengthening my core and getting back in shape. I am especially happy that not all of the exercises that he has prescribed for me needs special equipment, so if I am out of town, I can still do many of the exercises on my own no matter where I am. Edgar takes into account age and current level of fitness as he begins the trainings, and gradually increases the intensity as the trainee is ready. Recommend!

The women's locker room hot tub, sauna and steam room rarely work. When we ask the operations manager when things will get repaired they give vague answers that they are looking into things. But they don't say when or if repairs are scheduled. Several of the women at the front desk actually 'smirk' at us older women when we ask for things to be repaired and dismiss us! It's so frustrating that I e joined the YMCA and Oakbrook park district where they respond to our requests. Promptly and treat us with dignity

Facility is well maintained with equipment available most times. The best part of my gym experience has been biweekly sessions with Edgar, a personal trainer. In two months, I’ve dropped over 15 pounds, built lean muscle, decreased body fat by 5%, increased mobility / flexibility, eliminated physical discomfort from being sedentary and getting older, improved fitness level, and much more. Sessions with Edgar have been the most productive of any trainer. I’ve been in contact with as he does a great job assessing needs, developing a plan to remediate issues, increasing intensity incrementally, measuring gains, helping me have a disciplined mindset, and much more.
If you need a great trainer, then find and ask for Edgar—it will be a great investment!

I have tried to change my membership so that I am not paying to go to all the clubs. I only use Westmont. So, they cancelled my membership, and they voided my last month fee that I Paid on the original sign up. I had to pay first and last month again for new membership but the old first and last month is gone. I should have just let it run out and I would have had an extra month.

Clean facility, very lackluster and unhelpful front desk staff. Does not open to 8 am on Sunday even though there is 50 people sitting in the parking lot. Let me say it again, very unprofessional front desk staff. Spoke with one member on the phone regarding a guest pass, he initially said I had to fill out a form online but then said don't worry, I can do it when I come in. Needless to say, that was not the case and then I had to pay $20 as a guest. Fine but since I prepped for the visit, called and assured that I could work out as a guest after I received a tour of the gym. Should have called a manager but my stress is not worth $20 and an embarrassmentp to my brother in law.
Went back next day with lower expectations and that was exactly where they needed to be.

I’ve been a LA Fitness member for 5 years, first for 2 years in Chicago South Loop/Canal street and then eventually at this Westmont location.
I’ve also used the LA and Esporta locations in Oakbrook, Countyside, Tinley Park, and several others in Chicagoland.
This is one of rhe better LA fitness centers. It is generally pretty clean and 90% of the equipment works. The equipment is newer than most other LA fitness gyms.
Also people here usually put their weights away (which is hardly the case in so many other LA Fitness locations).
One downside is that membership has gone up a lot at this location in the last 2 years so it is very crowded after work and throughout most of the weekend. There’s almost no way to swim without sharing a lane and there’s a wait on the more popular equipment (people like to sit between sets as is the case with most LA fitness gyms).
For the price it’s a good LA fitness location. Please just be reasonable with your expectations.

You asked for a response so here goes. My friend has a membership and invited me to the gym with his guest pass. Normally I just give my ID to front desk and enter after he scans in. They made me wait 25 mins for manager to "sign a waiver." Finally, the manager came and proceeded to pitch me on a membership for another 30 minutes after I said no 10+ times. I gave up after trying to get in after an hour.

I was told that I can’t use the free day pass I signed up for because I was a member previously over a year ago. On the website it doesn’t mention anything about not being able to sign up for the pass for certain reasons. He offered to us buy a day pass or to re activate my membership. Very salesman and pushy. He would've had better luck letting me use the free pass and I would’ve actually considered signing up which would’ve better for them in long run instead of pushing me to buy or get out.

I’ve been going to this gym for the past 1 year. It has been a smooth experience without any hiccups along the way. There are several positive experiences to highlight.
1 - Personal training: I’ve been utilizing personal training sessions with Johnny Zamora for 1 year (6 months of 4 sessions per month and 6 months of 1 session per month). Johnny has proven to be a significant factor in improving my overall gym experience and physical activity. He has provided excellent support in workout planning & scheduling, fine tuning workout form, balancing diet and maintaining discipline. The training sessions have encouraged me to have a consistent routine throughout the year - I’ve showed up to the gym for over 200/250 weekdays and that has had a noticeable impact on my fitness level.
2 - Facility: Contains considerable variety of equipment required for all kinds of workout in adequate numbers. There’s a few specific ones that I’d like to see added (Decline bench). The support staff keeps the equipment clean continuously. The infrared sauna has been out of service for the whole year I’ve been here; people generally use the steam sauna.
3 - Training classes: I haven’t taken up any classes. There’s always a considerable number of people attending them which is a positive sign.
4 - People: The staff are pleasant and very supportive. I have not had any negative experiences from the other members of the gym. Mondays and certain Tuesdays are busy; you’ll have to wait a few minutes for the benches and squat racks, but nothing that I’d consider inconvenient.
Overall, I’m satisfied with the gym experience. There are areas where it could improve, but the current state is definitely satisfactory.

I've been coming here for a few months now since LA bought out all of the Xsport locations. I appreciate how much cleaner and updated everything is at this location. The limited hours however are disappointing. I don't understand why if they think they need to close every night for at least 7 hours, they still haven't cleaned anything until they reopen the next day. Most days when I go in at open, the cleaning crew is in the bathroom still cleaning. Toilets dirty for a couple of hours, opposite gender employees still hosing down showers, and trash not picked up on the floor.
And has the sauna ever worked? At what point will they just convert it from infrared to standard if they have no intention of ever fixing it?

The equipment is the latest. The gym area is very large. Unfortunately, when things break here, they stay broken for much longer than they should. For a Signature Club (that you pay more money for), that is unacceptable. Last year, something went wrong with the plumbing. It was cold water everywhere for a month. The men's area had a dry infrared sauna. It's been broken for a year and half and with probably never be fixed. The cleaning staff keeps their supplies in it now. I don't know if it's the management or the corporation, but this club has problems.

This gym has great potential but needs better management. Most people can recognize the good but sometimes feedback is important to recognize the bad.
- Needs better hours
Weekend hours are simply unacceptable and have to change. Regular week hours should be at a minimum increased to 11-12 for summertime.
- Needs better maintenance all around
We all know about the dry sauna, machines need care as well.
- Peak hours is just horrible
Gym is definitely going over capacity and with the limited hours, this leaves little to no time for people to work in peace.

I have been training with Johnny Z. for a little over a year now. He is super knowledgeable and professional, obsessive about form and preventing injury, and will push and motivate you toward your goals whatever they are. I feel so much stronger and confident in the gym. He has helped me reach my goals, set new ones, and most importantly, form lifelong health and fitness habits. I can't thank him enough for the time and thought he puts into our sessions, writing progressive programs, and checking in. Highly recommend him as a personal trainer!

I've been working out for 20 years and this is by far the most poorly designed gym I've ever seen. Every single piece of equipment is either uncomfortable or unfortunately placed to the point where it will ruin your workout. It's so bad I cannot imagine it being accidental.

Staff is extremely friendly and easy going, large variety of well maintained equipment, and lots of room to move about with a dance, spin, and basketbool room/court. Price was $35/MO in addition to a $45/yr member fee, which given what you get here is pretty good.
That said, a sauna that's been broken over a year with no intent to repair, a steam room that's broken every other week, and relatively dirty facilities leads to the lackluster review. You get what you pay for, and altogether it's a good deal. When customers stop breaking the steam room by directly ignoring the rules, it's worth the 5 stars.

Lead fitness trainer Edgar is absolutely amazing. He goes above and beyond with every experience. I had previously been skeptical of using a trainer and he has completely changed my perspective. They don't have punching bags, so that's a bummer. Edit: I had it rated as 4 stars before, but it got worse because they got rid of the sauna. It's also getting more expensive monthly.

I have been a member of LA Fitness since 2012 and after attending various facilities frequently, the Westmont facility is the best! I’ve always felt welcome, they have excellent customer service and the front desk staff is amazing. They address me by my name, and at least one person (usually more) greets me with a smile, they check in periodically and are constantly monitoring all aspects of their operation. It’s also the CLEANEST facility I have been to. The machines are constantly wiped down and their bathrooms are impeccable. The maintenance crew does an outstanding job, including Tom that keeps the machines running. The clientele is super friendly and I have never felt harrased. I’ve been attending this club for 5 months, they have been consistent and that has been key for me to maintain my motivation to keep going and developing a discipline for my routine. Thank you all for the wonderful service you provide, keep up the great work!
