The Legacy gym in Marion is my go to place to workout when I’m in town for an extended stay. Great facilities and the staff are fantastic! The gym has an outstanding culture and friendly atmosphere. Give it a go, if you want a serious place to workout!

Just visited this gym for the first time, and I’m genuinely impressed! The owner was incredibly friendly and took the time to walk me through everything, making me feel completely at home. Really clean and really varied gym. They have everything you need and more: squat racks, deadlift platform, cable attachments of all sorts, brand new turf area, and tons of machines. Day passes are very affordable, and I would highly recommend stopping in for a lift! This gym seems to have a really good sense of community.

If you want to cancel before the 12 month period you can't even pay $50 to cancel unless you've relocated over 30 miles away or are disabled. Then they want PROOF of that WITH the 50 bucks to cancel. Otherwise keep paying, no cancellation, even if you aren't using the place. Late fees are also high. It's not a bad gym to use. It's clean with nice showers and lockers. Carbondale has a sauna. The owner John is friendly. 24 hr.

Make sure you get your gym membership cancellation in writing, they will try to continue to charge you after the fact and gaslight you. The owner John is not an ethical business person. I recommend the Rec Center or Planet Fitness, they have better facilities.

When I signed up I was told I only had to keep my membership 6 months and then I could cancel without penalty. I tried to cancel after 8 months and I was told they would review and contact me within 10 days, after I didn’t hear from them I realized they charged me for the month. I called and was told I could not cancel and would be charged until the end of 12 months unless I moved out of the area. I don’t understand how the rules change….

Been going here for 2 months now, and the equipment is great, and employees treat you like family. Can't go anywhere else where the employees are as friendly and helpful as this place. As a beginner, they have always went above and beyond to give help when needed or answer questions, as I have had allot. Great job here!!

I am in the military and every time I stop through the staff and owner always let's me and my husband utilize their facility. No other gym in the area will assist us in the area. Other gyms try to charge a ridiculous price just for one workout and or not let us workout at all with out joining which is not feasible for we only come through for short periods. This Gold's gym supports the military and understands our needs and that we are not in the area for long periods of time. We love going there as well. The staff is always friendly and helpful. If you want a gym that supports your military please check them out. This would be our gym of choice if we lived here.

I warned my wife that she needed to watch for these people trying to rip her off when she tried to terminate her membership. They proved me right, of course. First, when she called to cancel, they said she had to make an appointment to cancel in person. Then when she went down, they made her wait so long that she had to leave after 45 minutes to make another appointment. She went back down later that evening to cancel and filled out whatever was asked of her. I asked her if they gave her something in writing and when she said "no" I told her they'd still try to rip her off, which of course, they have. She cancelled mid-December and they billed her credit card again for $107.49 on December 27th. These kinds of scumbags shouldn't be allowed to stay in business. They prey on people who are poor money managers and too unorganized to force them to end the membership. I'll be contacting the BBB, Visa to report the fraud and my attorney to see if we have a shot of suing them for the loss of time and headache these con-artists have caused us.
