If you reside in Illinois and are considering about joining a martial arts dojang (or dojo in Japanese) look no further, MJ Taekwondo is the best place you and/or your kids can learn Taekwondo, not only for self defense but also to develop discipline, confidence, mental and physical strength. I love MJ's TKD from the bottom of my heart. I was introduced to TKD by a friend at work four years ago. As a working parent, practicing TKD is a great way to bond with my two kids and get the much-needed exercise. MJ promotes a positive community atmosphere throughout the TKD Dojang. I’ve been a student at MJTKD for around 2 years now and I’ve loved every second of my time spent at the Dojang! MJ has taught me so much, not just taekwondo, but how to be a good person. All three of my kids started at Park's Martial Arts Academy six months ago. I can not say enough great things about the staff, families, and facility. Respect for yourself and others is an important tenet that is demonstrated and expected. There is a strong sense of community and family feel to everything they teach. This has been an incredible experience for my daughter and even for our family!! The integrity of this studio has by far exceeded that of others we have attended. The instructors not only teach the skills of tae kwon do but they teach respect.... which has followed my daughter right out of the studio and into my home. All the teachers and staff at Parks are AMAZING! They go above and beyond to help my kids grow and develop. I have a 10-yr old son with ADHD, and since enrolling him in Parks, his focus is much better, his grades have improved and he has a much more respectful, positive attitude. Our 5-yr old daughter has tested for a higher belt, which motivated her even more! She asks every day if she gets to go see "Master Jenny". We LOVE Parks and all the families we've met! I signed my daughter Cynthia up for Tae Kwondo through the park district. She absolutely loved it and wanted to do more so when Master Jenni approached my family that they actually had a school outside of the park district we wanted to check it out. We met Grand Master Parks. He was so friendly. We immediately felt like we were apart of there family. They excepted us with open arms. I have been amazed by each and every person at PMAA. They have taught my daughter to believe in herself and to have such confidence. She even practiced the splits non stop until she could literally slide her legs straight down the middle and when I asked her why she said she wanted Master Jenni to be proud of her and see that because of her encouragement she felt like she can do anything if she just believed in herself and worked hard for it. To me personally I think this was the best decision we ever made.

I was the Special Events Coordinator for WAR Chest Boutique, a nonprofit boutique in Naperville. We were approached by Jenny who wanted to partner with us to host a women's empowerment class, empowerment through Martial Arts! First of all we had an amazing turn out. Second of all, Jenny was awesome. As a survivor of domestic violence and sexual assault, I love learning techniques that I can use to protect myself. It helps me take back power over my body and my space and that is exactly what we did for the entire class. We learned excellent techniques and everyone was having an amazing time! She constantly encouraged women to embrace themselves, love themselves for who they are and exude confidence. I highly highly recommend.

My experience here at PMAA has been really good and fun. My life has changed over the 11 years of training. I like the workouts they have here. Senior Grand Master Park is a 9th degree black belt and i have learned a lot from him Master Jenni is a 6th degree black belt and has helped me mentally and physically. This school is best.

I highly recommend to staff and masters at PMAA. My son has been going here for over a year and has grown in his ability TaeKwonDo but just as important in his confidence, his work ethic and his commitment. My son started TaeKwonDo when he was 6 years old at another school in Aurora because he needed more confidence and physical activity. When we moved to Naperville, I looked for a new school and did my research. I wasn't finding any that fit what I was looking for for my son until we found PMAA (formerly known as World Martial Arts Institute). Senior Grand Master Park has an extensive background in Martial Arts with over 50 years training in TaeKwonDo to HapKiDo (Self-defense), KumDo and a few others. Not only has Senior GM Park been a crucial role model for my son; his daughter, Head Master Jenni has been and continues to be my son's mentor, family, teacher and so much more. What can I say, this is definitely a five star place! As a child I always was fascinated with martial arts. I always wanted to become a black belt. That dream got put on hold and almost forgotten as I grew into adulthood. Then came Park's Martial Arts Academy. I started taking Hapkido here almost two years ago and I never thought I would be this close to becoming a black belt. If all goes well, i will have achieved my childhood dream in four months! I would not have made it if it wasn't for the people here at PMAA. It all starts at the top with Grandmaster Park and Master Jenni. They truly care about their students and quickly make them their family. The knowledge base and their teachings are very deep and they take the time necessary to make sure all the students can learn and train in a positive environment. My son and daughter have been students here for 3 years and it's amazing! When we were looking for a tae kwon do school I researched every school in the area and none even came close to PMAA. They have been in Naperville for 25 years and their instructors are amazing talented and wonderful with children. PMAA is such a blessing and I am so happy I found it. Here, we are a big positive family with lots of support and love. I am 30yo and work a lot of crazy hours. This is a sanctuary for me not only to relieve stress and exercise, but to just be in the moment and challenge myself. It has become something I actually want to make time for because it's my "me-time" in such a demanding world. Kids and adults attend class, but I feel we are all equal and respected regardless of age and physical ability. The kids actually teach me a thing or two. For parents, if you are looking for something to give your children, teenagers, and young adults a true sense of personal responsibility, respect for themselves as well as for others, this is the place to be. As for us “adults” whatever the age, this is the place to regain your focus, stamina, flexibility, balance, physical health, mental health and so much more!
