My daughter took a class here 5 years ago when she was 2 years old. I paid $168 for her class at the time but ever since they’ve tried billing me a $25 yearly administration fee. They’re now saying I owe $100 for one dance class for “late fees” accrued from not paying the yearly administrative fee. During this one class Ms. April was rude to the two year olds. Only gave stickers to those “who participated”. Pretty petty considering they’re two years old. This is absolutely ridiculous. She was never part of any dance team where we would need to pay a yearly fee. My niece and friends daughter took the class with my daughter and were never billed a $25 administration fee. They claim this fee is stated on website (hard to prove that considering this was 5 years ago). The website states that a a $25 covers the cost of children in a family who are registered in consecutive sessions for the current dance year. I never enrolled my daughter in consecutive sessions therefore this does not apply. Beware of these hidden fees they try to charge you for. Not very good business practice. I will also be reporting this company to the BBB and spreading the word of how unprofessional and rude the works here are.

*Edit to add- Look at their response... they're STILL trying to collect a 7 year old "administrative fee" for a kid's dance class. 🤦🏻‍♂️
My daughter took one dance class here in 2017 and they hit us with a $25 "administrative fee" months after her class ended. It's over 7 years later and they're still trying to collect it. Reported them to BBB for harassment. Don't send your kids here.

My daughter is in her 6th year dancing with Mongan, and we've loved it from the start! Even through Covid restrictions, this dance studio and the wonderful teachers here have helped her to thrive as a dancer. They are a caring and loving group that are very skilled in their abilities to dance and to teach dance in a way that kids can learn and grow and fall in love with dance! They also put on two spectacular shows each year to showcase their dancers. Compared to other prestigious dance studios in the Chicago area, Mongan is very affordable, especially considering the exceptional level of instruction your dancer receives. They have multiclass and sibling discounts, as well as payment plans for those who would like to pay over time. All fees are transparently communicated, nothing hiding in the small print. Every penny is well spent here for the joy we have to watch our daughter develop her talent, be more disciplined, and grow stronger and more confident and resilient each day. We are so happy to have found Mongan Dance!

Linda and Shannon at Mongan Dance Academy create such a warm welcoming community for their families! I was able to watch their Nutcracker show last year and I could easily tell how much they care about all of their students and how at ease all of their students felt on stage and with dancing, even the very young ones! I wholeheartedly recommend Mongan Dance Academy!
