My experience with the pool facilities was very disappointing and raised serious concerns about hygiene and safety. People were allowed into the pool wearing regular street clothes, which is not only unsanitary but also against basic pool health regulations. The lifeguard on duty made no effort to enforce any rules or even mention proper swim attire. This lack of supervision was alarming.
To make matters worse, many guests entered the water without showering, and there was no staff presence to ensure that basic hygiene protocols were followed. As a result, the pool water looked visibly dirty and unclean, which made it feel unsafe to swim in.
Overall, the facility seemed to lack proper management and attention to cleanliness. If health and safety are not taken seriously, I wouldn’t recommend using this pool or returning in the future unless significant improvements are made.

Our Girl Scout troop hosted a water safety event at Niles Family Fitness, and it went positively "swimmingly!" ;) The facility was clean and well maintained with comfortably warm water and several fun features perfect for our age group (7-10 yrs old). The kids especially enjoyed the water slide and river current donut! The staff, especially Natalie the Aquatics Director, went above and beyond to facilitate our troop's program. Her friendly and informative approach to teaching water safety was perfect for our kids; I can tell this would be an excellent place for swim lessons! I highly recommend Niles Family Fitness for your next party. The price point is comparable to other event spaces, and they also offer family swim hours with reasonably-priced drop in rates. Thank you for hosting our event, Niles Family Fitness! We'll be back!

We joined membership and it's closeby and offers kids swimming. So far the membership leaves a bit wanting.
Good part: lap swims are not crowded during the day. Hot tub and sauna is nice. There's pickleball every weekday. There's a toddler swim class but we haven't been able to get in because it fills up fast and they don't announce the registration date.
Bad: pool is dirty. There's a film of mold on the side. Group classes very limited, most cost extra which Ihave not encountered in other gyms. No kids programs other than swimming on the weekends.
We will probably switch gyms in a few months once we figure out a better option.

I was frustrated that they charged me $10 to sit and watch my kids play. Had I known I would have packed my suit. No where comfortable to sit while watching - hard plastic benches.
Pool area looks filthy and stained. I’m sure they clean it but it needs updating.
Slide is awesome feature. Hot tub and sauna available. Splash area and whirl pool too but my kids weren’t interested.
The pool area and water temp were warm which is a major plus. The last pool we were at seemed to struggle to keep it warm in the winter.
Staff / lifeguards seemed nice and organized and attentive.
If we do return I’d bring my suit I suppose but would probably choose another indoor pool to visit first.

I would give it 5 stars but they have to turn off the radio. No need for the radio. Everyone has iPods in. Then I have to turn up volume in iPod. If I want read bike can’t because of radio. Equipment is good. But would be better if they put more equipment on top floor like a bicycle or rowing machine.
Sometimes you just want to be away from people. ☺️

I have been only in the aquatic area. So I can't say anything about the rest of the building. Most of the people who work here are nice and kind. I think this place must have been cleaned better . The jacuzzi is absolutely disgusting. The tiles are so dirty. I have been here several times waiting for my kids while they are swimming. I always check the jacuzzi because I want to jump into it, but I never get the chance because it looks like nobody can clean this area well.

We love the programs that the Center provides and wished they had more time slots for every program and age group. The prices are fair and definitely awesome classes are offered. More in the evening and after-school would be appreciated. The facility has a ton of amenities and space however it needs a deep cleaning and some serious maintenance. Lights broken, machines need repair and upkeeping, showers are broken or leaking water. The pool and locker rooms need a deep cleaning, lots of build-up and mildew. Fun pool area with excellent swim instructors and lifeguards. You can see they take their jobs seriously and like what they do; all the kids love their instructors and the kids are happy to be in the water. The swim classes are very well run and engaging for the students. It is nice they don't pack the pool like Voss or Goldfish swimming programs so because the kids can feel calmer without so many distractions and loud noise. The center also hosts some awesome town events you should all check out. The front desk staff is also very inviting, informative and engaging.

This place needs to do so much more to attract FAMILIES - not just pensioners. The place is like a retirement home, with passive aggressive notes EVERYWHERE and total silence lest it upset someone.
Good news is the equipment in the gym is usually free, but about as old as the current demographic.

My child almost drowned during a birthday party.
When we came in for a bday party we were told that no swimming aids, like floaties or life vests were allowed. I thought this was ludicrous, but didn’t want to complain, thinking they probably had enough lifeguards on duty.
I was inside the pool with my 6yo and my 3yo. While I had turned to check on my older kid who gravitated toward the deeper end of the pool where his friends were, my little one was in the shallow end doing his thing.
It only took 4-5 seconds of me looking away to see him completely submerged under water, struggling and moving uncontrollably. I jumped and grabbed him, pulled him out of the water— thank god I was on time. I can’t begin to imagine what could have happened if I’d turned around a couple seconds later.
This entire event went unnoticed by the lifeguards. They didn’t see him struggling under water and they didn’t see me pull him out. Nobody approached me to see if he was alright. It’s as if they were absent.
I am never stepping foot there again.

Great place for my whole family. My teenagers stay fit working out on the equipment, in the pool, on the track and on the courts. Very professional, helpful, and friendly staff. Family membership is well worth it!

My family was registered as members right when the facility opened like 20 years ago. Being a member now, myself, I can see nothing has truly changed. For a “family fitness center” it certainly favors the elderly the most. Open swim is only twice a week, you’re lucky if it’s more than that. Aquacize (?) and lap swim take up what would be times adults would be free. “Adult open swim” is at 1-4pm, when adults would be working. It’s just unfortunate with such a misleading name. It’s worth the money I suppose but just sad it’s not changed in that long.

Locker rooms, weight rooms, and pool are all fairly clean. Weight room is lacking in equipment compared to other larger gyms but you hardly ever have to wait to use a machine. Well worth the money for residents if you need a gym with a pool, and sometimes there are special prices for 3-month memberships that make it worth it for non residents as well. Staff has been courteous in all my interactions with them and I haven't had a problem here so far.

My rating is simply based on the treatment we received when we had a birthday party recently for my child. I completely understand that there is a time frame and rules due to COVID . The whole time it seemed like we were constantly being told how we need to hurry because the pool is closing or the facility is closing soon. It was so rude and unprofessional and not communicated to us that we would be practically pushed out the door at 3. We were not given a decent time to communicate to guest to start wrapping up the party and the staff person helping us with our party starting packing all of our food and stuff with out asking. We had people still eating at the tables and they were picking up the table cloths and throwing out food that our guests were still eating. Just handled very poorly. Very disappointing!!!! Won’t be coming back.

Nice place, but it has a problem with younger people coming in. The old women here have a problem with 14 year olds coming in if they appear shorter than their peers.
