Very knowledgeable and professional! The assessment was very detailed and comprehensive. The workouts given were just the right amount without overwhelming me. My trainer also examined my form was correct by observing the performance from all angles and he explained the functionality of the muscles that were involved. I recommend this business to anyone who really wants to see and feel a difference!

Amazing guy with great knowledge and fun to talk to, Xander will help you with any weakness, or body insecurities that you have, if you want a summer bod and don't know where to start, then this place might be it. I started getting lazy in my 30's due to which I lost shape and it gave me a mild form of anxiety but after spending some quality time here I personally feel rejuvenated like I'm a new me and I thank this guy everyday for that very reason God bless

Been working with Xander since the beginning of the year. Been loving how I have been feeling and getting back to where I was. don’t go here, find a REAL trainer. Extremely unprofessional & This guy thinks he’s a know it all, a hint of a narcissist and can’t take constructive criticism at all. Training space and equipment is CHEAP.

Shawn was my personal trainer when he lived in Tucson. He made a huge and lasting difference in my life, especially in my attitude about working out, about nutrition and total life style choices. I was hesitant to start a personal training program due to the cost, but the introductory session with Shawn changed all of that. I realized that my body was worth the investment. Shawn analyzed my diet and helped direct me to healthier choices. My FAVORITE thing about Shawn is his training style! I was working through some injuries and Shawn helped modify exercises so that I still worked the muscle group at hand and in turn strengthened my body to surpass the injury struggle and actually heal my body. He never let me quit, always pushed me and to this day, the best trainer I’ve ever had!!! His anatomical knowledge is incredible and he obviously leads by example!

2 days ago, I finished up my training sessions at Omni-Fit before moving out to Springfield.

Back in January, I was at a low in my life and I decided to change that, and working with Shawn was exactly what I needed.
Looking back at the progress I've made, the knowledge I've gained, and the person I've become from this experience, these past 8 months have been a blessing.
8 months ago, I was slightly depressed and couldn't get the exercise that I wanted without getting chest pains.
Now, I feel whole again. My mental health is where it should be. Physically, I'm more fit than when I was a competitive tumbler. I'm able to tumble again, and have been able to enjoy biking and running, chest-pain free!

I was about 8 weeks into a lifestyle and fitness overhaul through diet and exercise. I felt my motivation starting to wane so I contacted Shawn Smith for personal training. He was pleasant in our initial consult (no charge) and I was excited to begin training with him to continue the streak and excellent results I’d already seen. I had not plateaued but feared burnout.

In subsequent communication with him by text he asked me about my diet and food choices. I told him I was wary of eating meat because I have sensory tolerance issues, so the bulk of my protein came from dairy sources including whey. He was vehemently against this and told me about the dairy industry conspiracy and how the research supporting results from whey protein isolate were not real (citing that it was a denatured protein). He recommended I eat eggs if I didn’t like meat (also a problem food for me). I told him this and was dismayed when he told me that because I would not eat meat, he could not train me.

This was a terrible experience, rejected by a trainer at a critical time when all I needed was a little encouragement, support, and a person to check in with for accountability to keep up the progress I was making. It was a huge motivation setback at exactly the wrong time. I stopped working out and eating better. I’ve since returned to a sedentary lifestyle and lost the results I’d attained through my own research and hard work. Contacting Shawn Smith was the worst decision I made for self betterment in 2015.

He did apologize via text and recommended another trainer but the damage was done and he lost my trust and respect. Minimum rating for being hardheaded, stepping outside his scope of practice as a fitness professional, and promoting pseudoscience and conspiracy theories.

What an incredible team of Personal Trainers, Shawn and James. They initially listen to what you want to accomplish with your training. They develop a program fit to reach those goals taking into account your body type, fitness level, and flexibility. They adjust the program as you progress toward your goals to always challenge you.
