Highly recommended! I've been a member of gyms in the past where I spent long sessions in the gym with minimal results. I've been working out with the trainers at Orange Shoe for the last four months, and I'm seeing great results. As a busy mom, the 30 minute sessions are exactly right for me. The trainers each have different styles which brings variety to each workout. The gym is intimate, welcoming, and they always play good music! I'm very happy I found Orange Shoe.

I have been coming to Orange Shoe for three months and love it! Everyone is very friendly and helpful, and the trainers are amazing. I have primarily worked with Chris and Tiffany and I always look forward to my sessions. They are challenging but engaging and the time always flys by. I knew very little about strength training but they are very patient and take the time to explain each exercise and the proper form which I really appreciate. I have also worked with Michelle who is equally fantastic. While I have not worked with Carrie, my friend has and loves her. The owner Talha is great and always takes the time to answer questions and give advice on anything fitness. As a bonus he has two adorable pups that pop in as well:).

In addition, I really appreciate the format and flexibility. I get in a full, personalized workout but am in and out in under an hour . My busy and constantly changing schedule have made sticking to other classes difficult, but at Orange Shoe I am able to easily adjust my schedule with plenty of time options to choose from. This has helped me to be consistent which has contributed to great results. I have seen so much progress in the short time I have been going to this gym and expect to see that continue. I’m so glad I decided to give this place a try!

Fun, challenging and time flies!

It's a small place with small group classes, the trainers keep it interesting, challenging and always offer advise or modification if needed. I have been a member of Orange Shoe Park Ridge for 9 months and I love it here - so many good things to say! It's a great community where the instructors get to know their clients, their strengths and challenges, and they truly help you succeed in your workouts. I could not pick a favorite instructor as each is unique and brings something different to the table. They are personable and they want you to do well. The variety in the workouts is great and the instructors help you if you need something more/less challenging.
The facility is clean and has great equipment, it's orderly, and it's safe - all important.

Wish I could give 6 stars instead of just 5. Orange shoe is so amazing, all the trainers are so encouraging and create such a supportive environment for all your athletic needs. They take your goals and needs and curate a perfect workout for you every time, it’s so incredible to have a place where you’re able to workout, either if it’s just for personal gain, physical therapy, or anything else it’s all personalized to you! Due to my schedule, I have mainly attended Coach Carrie’s challenging 5:00 AM class – she definitely has you work hard, but she also makes it fun! Carrie is an incredibly knowledgeable trainer who provides a positive and supportive environment for all skill levels. If any of the activities are too challenging, Carrie provides modifications so you can continue with your work-out safely.
If you are thinking of joining a fitness group that encourages and motivates you (regardless of your skill level), this is the place to go!

I have been going with my wife for partner personal training at Orange Shoe for about a year. I have also recently been attending some of the fitness classes that they offer. I highly recommend any of the staff there - they are all professional and work with you and modify exercises to fit your needs. I was hesitant to start strength training, but being able to go with my wife has been great. It's a great way to get a partner committed to go. Part of my hesitation was that I have had tennis elbow and shoulder rotator injuries. When necessary, they are very good at showing me alternative exercises that still work out the intended muscles, yet don't irritate my injuries. We started out working with Chris and due to changes in our available time, we've switched mostly to Carrie for our personal training. They are both excellent. Carrie is a great motivator, knows her stuff, and makes the workouts a lot of fun. Chris is a super nice guy, is always prepared, and is very knowledgeable. I've been able to go to a couple of classes with Matt, and I've very much enjoyed those classes as well. If you're looking for reasonably priced customized personal training and fitness classes, I definitely recommend Orange Shoe!

I have been coming to Orange Shoe for small group classes for almost ten months now. I have worked with all of the trainers. They are all amazing! Carrie is super creative. She always comes up with new movements for each class and she explains how they relate to movements you do in real life. Chris is great at teaching movements step by step and he gives good tips/tricks to perfect a movement. Matthew is super energetic and encouraging. I’ve been working with Carrie for over seven years. She runs a solid class combining cardio, stretching, core work and weight training. Get in and get your work done in 45 minutes. Each session is scaled to all skill levels and will be modified if you’re working through a particular injury, with daily instruction on proper technique and particular individual focus on correct form. Stick with it. If you make the effort you’ll definitely see results.

I have never gone to see a personal trainer, but will say that the environment and energy here at Orange shoe is inviting and encouraging. I was intimidated to start this process as i haven’t worked out steadily in a while, in fear of moving wrong and hurting myself (in my 40s). The trainers have been very patient yet pushing me, particularly Chris. He ROCKS!!! He keeps me accountable, helps me to focus on form while counting out my reps and explaining what and why I’m doing each exercise and what muscle group is strengthening. Keeps encouraging me by letting me know what my progress is as i go along. He’s just awesome and love how we get “down to business” right off the bat, but manage to still laugh and before you know it, I’m sweaty, breathless, and it’s over! Always happier when i leave.

I've been going to Orange Shoe for two months now (3x per week), and can honestly say that this experience is changing my life. I have always struggled to keep up a decent fitness routine, and strength training was never part of it. In an effort to keep up with my kids, I decided to try personal training. From my initial consultation with Talha and through my sessions with each trainer (I've worked with all of them), I have felt supported in my journey and inspired to push myself harder. I do still complain during each session, but they seem to be used to that. I can already see and feel a difference in my body, and if I notice this much of a change after two months, I can't wait to see how I'll feel after six months or a year. Also...having a couple of VERY sweet dogs greet me at the gym most mornings is a great way to get started.

I've been working out here for a few months and am happy with the results so far. I only go about once a week, but feel a bit more toned than before I started. I am usually a bit sore the day following a work out, even still, but it's reassuring: no pain, no gain.
Talha and Russell are very friendly, knowledgeable and easy to work with. If you work out with Talha, you get the added bonus of hanging with his sweet dog, Toffee, too. I appreciate that they make sure your form is correct and that you're lifting and moving properly versus just telling you what to do once and not critiquing. I like the fact that there usually isn't anyone else in the studio when I'm there, so no fear of being watched or judged like large gyms.
I liked the fact that there was no pressure to join when I first came in for a free trial session. It's convenient to schedule sessions on the app or call/text if you prefer. They always seem willing to work with you, as long as you give them 24 hour notice before cancelling or rescheduling. Sessions cost a bit less than other local places, and it's even less if you do partner training. Plus there are no monthly fees like at gyms.
Overall, Orange Shoe seems to have the best deal and environment. I've done personal training at a couple other places locally and I think this one wins in my book.

After just a couple of months of going to Orange Shoe Park Ridge location I can truly feel and see the difference in my strength, balance and energy. Due to frequent travelling and the location not near my home I'm unable to go as regular as I should, however, the training by Brian is so effective that I have seen rapid results in my "tennis elbow" injury and "popping/cracking" knees. Talha the owner is always ready to assist and responds effectively when needed, along with his oversight of a well run and clean environment; provides an exceptional experience in what a "real Gym" should be; keep up the good work!!

The studio is extremely welcoming - including Toffee :) - the owner walks you through downloading their app for ease of setting up classes. He also gives a complementary fitness evaluation and the entire vibe is positive and uplifting. The studio is clean and the equipment is new. Scheduling a class is so easy and convenient through their app. The classes are challenging but you leave feeling great. The trainers never make you do something you’re not comfortable with and will modify an exercise depending on your needs. I have good friends who raved about the Lakeview Orange Shoe personal training and group fitness classes so I was thrilled to see Orange Shoe in Park Ridge! Talha, the owner, is the real deal! His business provides everything that I look for in a gym/trainer. He is professional , personable and responsive to my health/fitness needs. The gym itself is clean and free from social gym goers found in the larger gyms. Cost was a factor for me, as it is for most, but the old adage, “you get what you pay for” holds true. I injured my achilles in my 40s, and I learned about the need to maintain core strength and flexibility as I used a cart to get around my house...not easy or fun. The Orange Shoe folks are friendly, expert and care greatly about keeping me safe and free of injury. The attentiveness of the trainer in taking responses from the initial consultation in forming a workout plan to achieve listed goals while also pushing me to get better. I'm being pushed and I'm provided with immediate feedback on my form and checking to make sure I'm activating the correct muscles. For someone who was always on the heavy side, bad eating habits and never into fitness for many years this is a huge deal. Barely 5 sessions in and I'm already feeling more flexibility and re-energized to continue to push towards my next goal of getting fit after my 65lbs lost. I call 2021 the transformation year and OrangeShoe is a big stepping stone in this transformation.

Lastly the first discussion to just learn about OrangeShoe was very open and honest responses. It was not rushed and got my questions answered and learned about the background of OrangeShoe.

I’ve been working out with Talha for several years. He was pivotal in my recovery from a whiplash injury and always checks in and makes sure I’m not feeling pain when I’ve had other injuries flare up as well. He’s always positive but will push you to do better at the same time.

I don’t like working with other trainers but the times he’s been out of town and has selected a different trainer for me, I’ve always been happy with the workout, so I assume he will select excellent staff for his new location.
