Exceptionally clean PF. Wow! Also, they had doorbells on the papertowel dispensers. Above. A lot packed in a small space. My first time using this location and I was impressed. The treadmills ran a bit rough, I prefer a smooth experience but that happens over time. Great facility.

I've really enjoyed working with my trainer Ryan. He has been awesome! I came to Planet Fitness 4 months after hip replacement surgery. I was looking for someone to help guide me in building strength and build good exercise habits. After 3 months, I can see and feel the progress that I've made. Ryan watches and corrects any issues when doing exercises to avoid injury. This is exactly the experience that was have been looking for with a gym.

I regularly encounter Bryan when I attend planet fitness. Bryan always provides a great a warm welcome and greeting towards myself and other patrons. I have observed him being very attentive to any needs of those that check in. I happened to be present at the gym on a day that someone required emergency care. Bryan stepped up and handled the situation in a very calm, collected, professional manner with client safety at the forefront. Overall, I have had all pleasant experiences at this planet fitness.

I've been new to the area and have been working out at the Arlington Heights location for the past eight months. The staff and members are always friendly and welcoming — it's great to be greeted both when arriving and leaving. I really enjoy the positive atmosphere, and the equipment is consistently well-maintained and functional. I do wish this location offered 24/5 access, and it would be great to see some of the newer machines added in the near future.

The gym is clean and staff is friendly... The problem is the cancellation that took me a year and couple months to stop. I understand the regular staff cannot just cancel it. Both of 1st try of cancelling it to next year of returning realizing its charging me, the gym is under Olivia management. I wasted a lot of time and had to talk to other locations to find out how to cancel it. I feel like I was tricked. I hope they can work on this practices because its not just money but trust and time that is affected.

I’ve been a member of this Planet Fitness for a while now, and I can’t say enough good things about it! The managers and staff are incredibly friendly and always go out of their way to make sure you feel welcome. It’s clear that they genuinely care about the members.

As a Black Card member, I love the beverage discounts—it’s such a nice perk after a tough workout. And let’s not forget the ab twist machine—it’s honestly one of the best machines I’ve ever used. It really targets those hard-to-reach areas, and I can feel the difference.

Overall, this gym has everything I need to stay motivated, and the positive atmosphere makes it a great place to work out. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great fitness experience!

Worst gym experience there is. Other members here do not understand what gym etiquette means. They will confront you verbally and physically as you do normal gym activities. Put a phone on a bench/machine, they will throw it on the floor. Take a plate to use and they will chase you down like children saying they were using it when they never were/did/do! It seems the gm accepts this and will not discipline the person in the wrong. They will cancel memberships of the good people that stand up for themselves when someone treats them poorly….and they then embrace the person that started all of the problems. Good riddance!!!! Really a joke!

Minimal free weights. Dumbbells only go up to 55 and no benches or squat racks. Had some dated machines but you can get a decent workout if you get creative. Workers are friendly and people are ok. Much better gyms in the area for a little more. Has everything you need for a good workout if you just want to join a gym to get started. Gets crowded between 5 to 7.

Overall this gym has good equipment and only a few are out of order. The space is decently clean and comfortable.

Huge negative is that it feels like a sweat shop. There are no fans for air movement. And since the machines are cheaper, there are no personal fans. This would especially be helpful on the cardio machines.

I've been a member since the end of last year. Tanning beds not cleaned. Not even a cleaning supplies in the tanning rooms... Employees standing around, not interested at all. Giving you the " looks" in that judgment free zone. Telling you where and how long you can exercise. They should make sure other members clean the equipment and put them where they belong Very poor management, bunch of unmature and unprofessional kids.

I had a disturbing experience where one of the employees entered one of the side rooms while me and my friend were in there. I was under the impression I was in a safe space because we were the only ones in there until he creeped up behind me and was copying the way I was looking in the mirror. This made me and my friend uncomfortable so we grabbed our things and immediately moved to the treadmills to be in a safe public space where others could see. Overall just an extremely uncomfortable experience that I wouldn’t wish on any woman.

I have been a member of Planet Fitness since November 2023 and this gym takes the cake, I use the tanning every few days as I am a black card member, but this location has an issue with NOT cleaning and sanitizing the beds!! I now have a rash/blister on my right hip area and I'm not happy!!! It is not my job to clean a bed BEFORE I use it, but I have had to, and the ONE DAY it looks clean it was not!! I clean the bed after I use it and BEFORE, I pay a monthly and annual fee and should NOT have to clean BEFORE I tan!!

Honestly clean and a great place to be however the rules of a gym should be enforced. I stopped in for a session to see if I should join and there was a guy who took over the machines and was militant and rude. The intimidated people around him were openly bothered as he harassed and suppressed others while completely hogging machines and being rude to another man who kindly asked to work, In any case he is driving away patrons and business. I think the atmosphere and culture means a lot , sound mind and sound body go hand in hand. I’ll check out another location but this experience in THIS location was not comforting OR welcoming. I know patrons are the bloodline and the business needs numbers to survive but more is lost than gained in this case. Future potential members like myself and other paying patrons are bullied.

Planet fitness in Arlington heights saved my life 😍 finally sticking to a healthy routine. the girls locker room is fully renovated, Hollywood lights around mirrors in bathroom, multiple areas to get ready, clean, adequate amount of machines, tanning area with a lounge, and hydrmassage suite. This place is so convenient. It allowed me to stay consistent because of how enjoyable, convenient and affordable it is ! So thank you so much planet fitness. Hydro beds 70% of time are out of service, they keep fixing them as a temporary fix, just to find out the next day its broke again.

An update on the there hydro beds since my last report, for the last 6 months or may be more bed softwares are updated and running excellent, also all there machines are working excellent, cleaning is top notch, and i am proud to call this my gym.

I have been going a few months now, and while the environment is fine the place clearly has some sort of bug problem. I have seen tiny critters here and there occasionally, which is fine and reasonable, but a few days ago I found one the size of a quarter just roaming around! I can’t even tell what this is, but it instantly made me feel poorly and I left the facility. As a black card member, I contemplate going back and renewing my membership for the next month. I would rate this gym a solid 4 or 5 strictly based off the early morning experience I have had here. But they have recently decided to not be 24/5 and will only open at 5am on the weekdays. I use planet fitness strictly for their hours and location. When we called the manager she was pretty rude, dismissive and not understanding of the hours changing and couldn’t offer anything for the inconvenience. I will be looking elsewhere for a gym as I am sure other people will be.

I am thrilled that this facility is open and it is always clean. I have started working with the physical trainer, Ryan, and he has been absolutely wonderful! He is accommodating and professional and knowledgeable. My mobility has increased tremendously in four weeks. Kudos for hiring him! The only downside is as I wish there were more availability for us to have one on one sessions with him.

I recently joined PF and I have to say that it is just "meh." The layout of the place makes the free weight section cramped so I always feel like I'm in the way of other people. They also don't have enough weights, so I often find myself waiting for the dumbbells that I want to use. They also only have one butterfly machine in the whole gym. That thing is constantly being used so sometimes I never get to use it. PF, BUY MORE OF THE POPULAR EQUIPMENT! There are too many treadmills and stairclimbers, but not enough weight equipment. If this gym weren't so cheap in membership fees, I would probably go somewhere else. Heck, I still might leave even with the low prices...

It’s a decent gym for the price. Machines don’t get fixed right away but the staff is nice and it’s clean for the most part. Summer is my least favorite time to go because they have teens working out for free I believe. They come in groups and just sit on the equipment while they talk or use their phones. The service in Planet Fitness is terrible, we initially bought a subscription to have a free cancellation but when we tried to cancel out subscription and the worker told us that he will, he never actually did it and we got charged for the next 2 months following , and they do not return the money. Be careful when you leave them, they can withdraw money from you. And who has already left them, check your accounts !!!!
