Dirty and so many machines are broken with no sign saying it’s broken. Staff sits at front on their phone's. Garbage cans are overflowing with trash. No cleaning solution in bottles I had to go to the front to get some. I will not be back to this Chatham location. People working out in jeans and crocs! I’m so happy I don’t have the one gym membership because I would certainly cancel if this was my only choice.

I have been coming there for the past two years and I have seen dramatic changes. First starting with the staff, the female staff at this planet fitness are very flirty and be annoying as hell being in the client’s face and Be super petty when she’s in one of her moods, playing sad raindrops storms in no music that’s uplifting. And she needs to be fired number two. Why is it not enough workout Stair masters at other planet fitness they’re over four different stair masters and there’s always something broke in this planet fitness but it doesn’t get fixed often. I hope that these changes can happen immediately as a paying customer I can take my money elsewhere.

This week 9/8/25 I noticed that the treadmills, tvs and music has been out of compliance. . Therefore I have to utilize the treadmills on the left side which means that it's limited because half of those treadmills don't work. I am not the only one who is complaining about this situation but it needs to be rectified. Will someone please talk to the worker who is on staff in the morning because he is to busy talking to his friend/s and not getting his work done. In the meantime we can't utilize the treadmills because he has the treadmills unplugged. I will keep you posted about this situation tomorrow morning. Thank you!

This location has very serious issues with the cleanliness of the women's bathroom. People that work out at this location have absolutely no type of gym etiquette. The sanitization solution is meant to wipe down the machines before you use them and after. Hard to do when people take the bottles and use them all during their work out leaving us to walk all over looking for solution to clean off the machine. The bottles should be mounted where people can't just take them and keep them. People come there sit on machines taking up time it's disrespectful to the rest of us that want to get our sets in then go onto the next and leave. Nothing is enforced at this facility and a few others.

Manager Genet is unprofessional. She does not return phone calls or reply to emails. This is my second time experiencing this with her. I should not have to call and leave a message over a dozen times to no avail. And the staff always claims she's not there and they don't know what day or time she will be there. I sent her an email on May 26, 2025, to change my club and she still hasn't responded. Today is June 24, 2025.

The equipment at this location is rusting! The stairs climbers are always broke. Does this owner discriminate by location? I've never been to a location with such old equipment. Most clubs seem to be on a plan that refreshes the equipment every few years. I'm a new member and I like this location so far. My only issue is that the Hydro Beds have been out of service a lot since I purchased my membership. The Hydro beds was one of the reasons that peaked my interest in purchasing the membership. I feel like it's a waste of money to have purchased the PF black card membership. It doesn't make sense to travel to another neighborhood to use that equipment when there's one right here in this neighborhood. Hopefully they will be repaired soon.

Was in there on Saturday the 1st and it wasn’t too busy. Overall this isa great gym. Weekend hours don’t make sense but the gym itself is decent. But my biggest problem was there was a group of 5/6 people who seemed to be there together jumping from machine to machine not wiping anything down but were dripping sweat. When I had told them it’s gym standard to wipe the machine down after each use. They all of a sudden didn’t know English. With at least 5 employees chopping it up by the front desk you’d think they’d be on top of gym cleanliness.

I was a member years ago. Since I been back this gym is dirty... Half of the treadmills are turned off. The older crowd have left and the young crazy crowd took over.The people who work here are young and lazy. Then they got the nerve to let someone come in the gym recording. I’ve been a loyal PF member since 2016 but I loved going there through the front door and seeing Veronica at the front desk! She is a breath of fresh air and I loved her smile that lit up the whole room. I came in for the first time at 2am and those front desk folks do not play about knowing whose in the gym, so I don't have to worry about any unwanted visitors at night. I also saw them lift up the entire row of treadmills and clean them top to bottom. I've been to gyms across the country for 20 years and this is my first time seeing a staff that thorough. The gym community is very welcoming too, I'm honestly extremely impressed. As a former X Sport patron, this is now my 2nd gym home 💪🏿

I’ve been visiting this location for about two weeks. The gym is kept pretty clean because the workers are clean, diligent and tidy. They also are friendly and helpful. There rarely an issue with the machines. I also like the 24/5 availability of the facility. There’s a good number and variety of machines always. in addition, there’s enough space to accomplish full workouts every time. The music played is on the speakers is usually strangely on trend, upbeat and energetic. I have a Black Card and have access to the massage bed/chairs and they also are always available to use after a workout. I don’t believe this location has been in existence for a long time, but I hope they keep it up.

I understand the trainer needing adequate space to train people but it's not fair to be kicked out of the 30 mins full body workout area for a trainer to train 2 people. This situation recently happened to me and it's not fair. Some people go to the gym to only use the full body exercise area machines for convenience so I don't think that should be an area the trainer is allowed to kick people out of.

I went to this location and this lady at the front desk was so rude. She is dark skin with highlight locs. I had on crocs and ready to work out. Instead of her just clearly saying those shoes are not appropriate . She just stared at me and my friendly awkwardly. Like she had this same face for at least two minutes. I’m SUPER happy with this gym …

EXCEPT for one important issue-It’s actually been OVER 20+ MONTHS , AND the tanning unit(s) are STILL NOT WORKING!! The young female, OF PF staff, told me “it was TOO expensive for them to repair or NOT at all a priority”” and THEN SHE WHISPERS… “HONESTLY”, “WE DO NOT GET MANY MEMBERS, YOU KNOW,that would need to use them any ways”. That’s not right! If there is actually truth to this, but you cannot believe all u hear! I truly feel she meant no harm by her statement, but she actually SAID IT( bad delivery,maybe???) Regardless, the sunlamps are therapeutic, help with vitamin D, and relieve stress, NOT only for darkening skin pigmentation. Case is TANNING BED USAGE was advertised and promised. That’s ONE MAIN reason why I got my membership THERE… I hope this could get fixed finally, ASAP, because I really love this gym and I love the people there…..please help.

I hate to write a negative review, but this is the second week in a row that I've gone to work out excited and walked out of this place within 5 mins. I've been coming here for at least 7 to 8 years and must say the staff is great, they keep the gym and the equipment clean. However, when it comes to fixing the equipment, the time frame is super slow. I've gone to several different gyms and Planet fitness and I don't understand why this location only has two Stair Masters and right now, it's down to one and has been like this for over a month now. Every other Planet Fitness that I have gone to has had at least four machines. Not only has the machine been broken for some time now, but a lot of the equipment such as cardio machines are outdated. I'm not sure why Calumet Park and the one on 47th and Lake Park Street have way better equipment than this location, but I wish whoever is over this establishment would replace the old equipment. Again, staff and the people are great. Just need better equipment to work with..

Every time I come here I see people dedicated to fitness. It has a good atmosphere for workout.

I tried the solarium but left the room after 2 minutes because I only encountered cold air.

As someone who has visited almost all Planet Fitness centers in the US, I can say that the solarium is mostly inadequate. Please let a standard be set for this.

Solarium rooms are different in each location. Light bulbs are not replaced enough. You always encounter surprises for me. It is never stable.
