This place is trash. The locker room is a disgrace. Mildew of all forms grow in there. The showers have been under renovation for over a year. The person who was running this franchise has turned it into a gym under another name. He still has not fixed the problems. Equipment was never repaired or checked on for maintenance. The previous reviews said tell the front desk like they would do something to fix a problem BUT THE MAN IN CHARGE NEVER FIXES ANY OF THE PROBLEMS. Business is business for him and all he wants is your money.

I have been a planet fitness member for over 5 years. I recently moved to a place where I am right in the center of 2 PFs. I was considering using this one as my home gym. There are comments about how unprofessional the staff is and dirty the bathrooms are, dating back to over a year. During that time the representative responding keeps saying “oh no, we don’t like to hear that..” yet clearly if people are still having the same concerns just this week, you’ve done nothing to address these issues or enforce some type of effort to fix them. It is safe to say that I won’t be using this location.

This in response to the person answering all the concerns people have posted. As a customer service fanatic, I feel your comments are condescending and lack a “get on it right away” attitude. When you say call us back or email us more details, it’s like you are prolonging action. Though your response of “oh no that’s not what we like to hear” I see comment after comment of how dirty the bathrooms are and how run down the facility is. You should answer with action and TAKE ACTION. For example, the staff has been trained and we expect them at the front desk 100% of the time. Or, a crew has been assigned to clean the bathrooms thoroughly and we expect them to keep it up with a daily bathroom cleaning schedule. I was thinking of joining as I was a member in another state and I loved it but I’m not joining a filthy place and risk getting sick from all the germs and bacteria you seem to be spreading.

The equipment is the only good thing about this Planet Fitness/Blue Fire Fitness. Waiting for the Women's restrooms to get their overhaul-there has been no improvement whatsoever. They are disgusting. Waiting for the sauna to get working as well since we have asked since this facility was taken over. While I know there is Reno going on you should keep the floors swept or at least shut down the facility for a week and do what needs to be done. We keep waiting for the drastic improvements and are not moving gyms in hopes of this . Please hurry!

Overall this planet fitness was an embarrassment to the name. The only good thing I can say is my work out got completed. On the down side the shower was on par with a middle school in both state of clean and size. The staff needs to get off playing on the phone and do thier job. I wouldn't and wont come back.

This is the worst planet fitness that I have been to. Staff was dismissive, locker room was dirty and the showers were nasty and look like they hadn't been cleaned in a year. There was used soap bars and empty shampoo bottles in almost every shower. I will never go back to this location again.

I’ve come here about five times, and have never found someone at the front desk. Each time I have to knock on their employee room to get someone to come assist me. Today, the tanning bed was very dirty and hadn’t been cleaned, and there is no cleaning solution in the tanning rooms. This is the worst location I’ve attended.

The machines are adequate, but same as I worked out with eight years ago. No staff when we went there. Lockers were such that my long bar wouldn't fit in to lock up my gear. Tried to use smaller lockers, but keys wouldn't release. Hydro machines were not assembled and no one there to activate other massage chairs. Have been to better PFs in five other states.

There is a sign on the showers that they would be "out for the rest of the day." That sign has been there over a week, there is no Wi-Fi and many of the pieces of equipment have ripped vinyl .

Manager has a pretty flippant attitude about explaining owed charges. I told him to explain why i still have a membership after months of not attending (I'd moved) and when I told him to calm his attitude he explained hes the manager so it's OK to eschew common courtesy because he's unaccountable to members. Water fountains are caked over with grime and hard water residue. Other than Jayke Teske the club manager, everyone else seemed OK

I like going to planet fitness but the customer service is lacking at this place. I watch five customers stand at the counter waiting to be help. No one there to greet them some of them had to knock on the window of the office to get a employee to help them. Also I had to stop my work out to tell someone who was waiting to knock on the window to get help. Step up your customers service so you will not lose customers.

I travel for work and use the PF chain regularly across the US. This location is horrendous and should be shut down. I had to clean the hair out of the drain myself just for it to feel clean enough to take a shower (still wore my sandals) Then, the shower wouldn’t drain water so I had to clean another shower stall myself.

I did not use any of the exercise equipment but I can only imagine it is as bad as the locker rooms. I can not believe planet fitness allows this gym to carry their name 🤮

It's a descent gym with friendly staff. The equipment is out dated compared to the other Planet Fitness facilities. The Mens bathroom is in desperate need of upgrades. At times when you want to get an early workout in the staff is not there in time. The gym is supposed to be open at 5AM yet it is now 5:20AM and the doors are not open. It's a nice gym if you stay close by it but if your looking for a better quality Planet Fitness go somewhere else.

11 months later and the men's bathroom still looks like a toxic dump. I wonder if they'll take it serious when someone calls the health department..hmmmm

This is the absolute best place to work out because the music they play is an incredible mix of modern day pop music with some funk mixed in. If you come to this place you can hear a mix of just about anything, except the acid rock kind of stuff. I've asked them where they get their mix because it is so good. I have been to other Planet Fitness locations, and their music selection is horrible compared to this one, or lacks variety. Some places play their music too loud also.

I have been to Planet Fitness in five different states an have enjoyed most everyone of them but by far this is my least favorite. I've been coming here everyday for about two weeks and might have see a staff member three or four time.

I'm not sure if they ever clean the water fountains or not. I have been seeing a red spot on one of them just about the hole time I've been coming. It has faded quite a bit and I not sure if it blood. I kind of stay away from it. Every spray bottle I have used to clean the equipment I've used is only works half way.

The good is that this place is not very busy and I can do my workouts with no one really bothering me. The main workout area is clean but with the water fountain I really question how often they mop.

There is nothing particularly wrong with this place, but it is much smaller than other facilities I have been in. They have a very small section of weight lifting machines, while having a lot of treadmills/elliptical machines. I was a bit annoyed they didn't have a single stair stepping machine, when most facilities have a few. They do have a ton of tanning rooms. This seems like the typical suburban mom kind of joint... cardio and tanning. Not a good place to try and weight lift if working out at peak times.

The whole place is outdated already and it's still a "new" gym, the equipment is either not working or needs a tune up because you never know what settings will give you the workout you need, one machine may be easy while the other is hard; i.e. 65lbs on one is harder to move than the other. Consistent weights is needed here.

As far as the exercise equipment goes, this is a really nice location. They have a good variety of equipment, and they feature an especially large equipment selection in the 30 minute workout section. It also has a very spacious men's locker room.

However, that's where the positives end. The men's shower area was filled with broken parts, disgusting shower stalls, and a complete lack of private changing areas (unless you count the handicap toilet stall, which I emphatically don't count as a changing room.) They seem to have a sauna, but it was locked and unavailable while I was there.

As for the hours, they're not open 24/7 like some other locations, but they do open at 5am most days so it's not as much of a problem for me personally.

It was also amusing to note the quality control sign that was visible in the men's locker room that declared that the area was regularly checked for quality - highly doubtful.

Is it always "pajama day" for the staff at this location? One worker at the front desk is always in pajamas when I come in. All of the other locations that I've been to, the staff is always in uniform(khakis and PF shirt/polo). Also, every other time I work out here, their "manager" is also working out... in his PF uniform! Unprofessional! When I walked in today no one was even at the front desk. They were hanging out sitting in the massage chairs!! They should be cleaning the tanning beds/bathrooms. There are so many things is wrong with this place. I REALLY wish this location wasn't the closest one to me. I'm about to drive out of my way to go to the other location because I've read that it's MUCH nicer and they actually have good machines. They don't even have a stair climber, hydro beds, and many other machines like other locations. It's like the owner doesn't even care that the gym is so bad compared to the norm.

Im giving this gym a 2 star rating because of the condition and cleanliness of the men's locker room. The shower heads do not work very well. The shower floors and walls are filthy. Trash in locker room is full. Shower curtains are are cheap and dirty. I travel a lot in my line of work and I have used doezens of Planet Fitness gyms and this is by far the worst men's locker room I've seen. Now as far as the gym equipment and the cleanliness of the work out area they were fine..

I'm glad I'm a black card member and can go to other locations. This is one of the dirtiest locations I've ever been to. Their tanning beds are gross!!! Hair and filth all in them. I stopped by tonight because I had to go shopping in the area and wanted a quick tan... I didn't even stay the full time because of how much it grosses me out. The ladies locker room is also dirty most of the time. And the staff is really lacking at this location. Only one staff member typically working and usually it seems as if it's a chore to help the clients.

the only reason I go there is simply cuz it's by my work...I have been to PFs in other states and the area here and I must say this is bad...the locker rooms never look clean all I've ever seen an employee do is mop and the tanning beds are a little scetchy especially since there's never anything in there to clean them with...I love the fact that there are massage chairs but good luck getting a token for them seeing as how it's almost impossible to find the one employee working there each night....my worst problem is that they aren't 24hrs when every other gym in our area is! this gym is still the only one that's not 24 hours! they aren't even open late, I'm not even off work by the time they close. The women's locker room still smells like backed up toilets and the tanning beds are not only dirty but most of them are missing bolts!! luckily a new PF has opened in Edwardsville that meets all standard requirements, that is open 24hrs and is actually clean! yes it's out of the way but I refuse to give my money to slumlord gym owners. maybe these are the reasons every time I go in there aren't any other patrons. If you want to make money you have to offer something worth paying for!

I like the gym overall . Staff there is great. But it's like the mats are never cleaned. They smell awful and look gross. Every time i use the ab room I spray an entire section down to clean it. Because the paper towels are black when I'm done. That's disgusting. And the girls locker room is always filthy , I've honestly never seen it clean. Everything else is fine.
