Interesting day at gym this morning. I couldn’t get into the zone! Trainer, was training an individual and counting constantly out loud. He was literally yelling the numbers. I turned up my headset full volume and couldn’t drown him out. He works for PF, he should be the one practicing gym etiquette.

TREADMILL STOP EARLY & LAZY MANAGEMENT RESPONSE:

So I complained to staff verbally about all the treadmills being capped at 30 minutes, filled out the experience survey about it, only to get a copy and paste email from the site manager essentially saying “let’s talk about.”

A.) Everything was explained in detail *in the survey.*

B.) As a cross country traveler for work I explained that NO other PF location caps there treadmills that short. Even the neighboring PF sites don’t do this.

C.) As a long distance runner I explained how having to abruptly stop a workout and jump on another treadmill is detrimental for athletic progression for every level of fitness (1 hour is the norm, 30 isn’t).

Edit: This is just flat out disrespectful for us who takes running seriously. If men clearly on illegal performance enhancing drugs can get a sufficient workout in the lifting area, why can’t a healthy runner such as myself do so because I’m having to restart my run 3-4 times in one session? Walking or running, distance is about pace, heart rhythm, breath control, muscle contraction, mental focus, etc. and when it’s disrupted too many times, your body sometimes can’t recuperate sufficiently.

First of all I have to start by saying that I go to many different locations because I travel a lot. This particular location was the worst location I have been to. The location smells terrible and needs to be updated. I took a shower and guess what no hot water. I took a cold shower. The water never got hot. Terrible experience. I will never be visiting this location again or would recommend visiting.

Came here today after a while of not being here and I was blown away. And not in a good way. The deep tissue chairs are old and outdated and they barely work. The hydro massage beds were all out of order except one. The furniture inside of the waiting lobby was broken ripped and had holes in it.. The tables in the hydro massage rooms where broken. The bathroom didn't have working soap dispensers and they had a bottle of dishwashing liquid.. I'm not lying. It sucks cuz this place is 24/7 and it's the only one around it is but it's sad that we don't have a place that is in upstanding condition. Something needs to be done about this ASAP. This place has gone downhill very fast when it used to be very nice when it was newer. The showers are filthy and have mildew in them and a shower curtains are dirty. It's just sad that this is happening to one of my favorite gems This is probably the worst planet fitness I've ever been to condition wise. Staff is always friendly though. And very accommodating. So it's not their fault.

For some odd reason unbeknownst to me... it's a weird vibe from most of the male staff here either they are over worked or have a lot going on? But they're behavior always comes out hyper aggressive and somewhat lazy and confrontational as well. Not a stranger to outward emotions but I just feel maybe a meeting about customer care should take effect because I've been to multiple locations and by far this location has that problem bad... no smiles just aggressive and I get it's a gym but considering everything that's going on I'd truly appreciate it if yall would tell.them to lighten up someone could take it wrong or as a micro aggression and it gets annoying paying for something just to see people looking angry it's a gym it promotes happiness be happy like geesh....

1-9-23 today at 5:06pm the Asian guy who checked me in carded my disabled daughter who is 24. He said the only way I can check in is the mobile app. I told him she has been here over 20 times so could he check his system. He said he is just doing his job. I told him we'll it works at every other planet fitness why is this one different. All he said was you have to get the mobile app. Or she is not allowed in. Very unsatisfied. This is at your Lansing il location. All the other locations around here are not rude. This guy held me not having the mobile app against me. Ok Dec 2024 and same problem. This place still sucks. Finally on 1-4-25 a young female employee explained what I need to do and this problem was a easy fix. It took 1 good employee.

My membership goes every where because I do. I stopped in on a Saturday and the computer that checks us in didn't work. We had to use paper and pen. They have no idea who is in the facility so please be careful if you use locker rooms. Locker room and rest room were clean but NO TOILET PAPER. Why?? Won't go back to this location. I cancelled my membership with Planet Fitness in July of this year. They charged my account for the. month of August and additionally added a late fee. The staff their was very rude and refuse to honor my cancelation and return my payment. This planet fitness is a totally unprofessional organization and club. I appreciate that this location is big and has a lot readily available equipment. The gym and locker rooms are relatively clean but there is one major issue with this location - we are nearing the dog days of summer and while I want to work up a sweat...there is no air-conditioning in this gym! My is Dave I've been with plant fitness for over 2 years the problem I get with your gym is every time I come there I check in on my phone your gym is not My primary gym but I'm a member that can visit any gym I can check in on the phone then the staff says you have to write your information on a log sheet too then I ask why they said this gym is privately owned and that's the way it is here. After Esporta closed, I've been at Planet Fitness for three months. The women's restroom is consistently unclean and unwelcoming. Ever since I joined, this one particular toilet has not worked and there always seems to be something broken and left neglected with repairing. Not to mention, the toilets are frequently splattered with excrement. Every time I enter the women's restroom, I feel really uneasy. The restrooms at this establishment need to be maintained better.

I've been a member for about 2 months now and I was easily disgusted by the young Hispanic male who took it upon himself yesterday to not only disrespect me but also my mother who has been my guest since I joined this gym. When I joined this I was told to register my mother as my guest, and that anytime she accompanies me to show my barcode. I've being doing this same routine and all of a sudden the young man wants to use an abrasive tone with my mom and I about her having her own barcode. We are both much older than this young man and he could benefit from training in customer service especially when he's the on scanning us in every day and not having an issue with it until yesterday. He should apologize to her for the way he spoke to us but more so my mother.

I’ve visited many planet fitness locations in different cities. They all were exceptional clean . However this planet fitness stands out from the others. Witnessing the staff working together in total harmony caught my attention as well no attitudes when approached. I’ve spoken to the manager not knowing he was the manager noticed his positive attitude. During my visit I’m always looking for something out of hand . There were no broken machines. Washroom spotless so was the exercise rooms . Plenty of free parking. Great location near many eateries . I loved that there was numerous people from different countries everyone was nice, the brotherhood and sisterhood was outstanding. My only issue is I’ll be heading back to my hometown Ga.Fantastic job to the manager and his staff. Five stars for any location is rare for me . This location definitely deserves 🙏🏾

The water fountain needs to be fixed where you can refill your water bottle. The soap dispensers in the men's bathroom are broken and just laying on the sink. I've been coming to this gym for awhile and these small things haven't been fixed . I'm just now speaking on it in a review. I have been working Out at this gym for 5 years and since esporta fitness closed in Lansing new members have been showing up and complaining on my group that we take up all the equipment. My group has never had any problems in 5 years we're a good group of professionals... since the new People from Esporta has come to our gym there has been 3 locker break-ins But yet we were told to leave so they want new bad people who steal and not good people . Of course the equipment is taken if more people are working out planet fitness is smaller than Esporta. Never in 5 years have we complained about how nasty and dusty the gym is we dealt with it
I will say the staff is great Tommy Jade and Alex are wonderful I'm pissed that I'm being forced to workout 12 miles from my home when this gym is 2 miles from me. In 5 years working Out with my group I have gotten in great shape and healthy

The staff here aren't friendly nor professional one of the young ladies that worked there had a bone to pick and was over the top about doing her job and was lazy, and unprofessional, had an attitude problem! 24/7 is great. Staff isn't friendly. There all young so they don't say anything unless you speak first. There was one person that spoke out of the dozen of times I've been in. The places is extremely small machines are on top of each other.
