Gym was clean and organized but customer service here was 0%. I brought my father in law in as a guest and he was interested in signing up but said he didn’t feel welcomed so he’d never go back. I Have been paying for a cancelled membership for months. I Have repeatedly been in touch and after being offered a refund, they called to say they will not follow through. Had anyone in the place given us the time of day when this started three months ago, I wouldn't be out over a hundred dollars. During this process I've found that many people have this same issue. My family will not be returning.

I love coming to this Planet Fitness location! The gym is always clean, the equipment is well maintained, and the atmosphere feels really welcoming. Everyone on staff is helpful and professional.

I also have to give a special shout-out to Ryan he always goes above and beyond to make sure members feel comfortable and taken care of. You can tell he really cares about his job and takes pride in keeping the gym running smoothly.

Highly recommend this location if you’re looking for a great place to work out!

It’s a good gym but the lack of overnight hours makes my life pretty hard, I prefer this gym but I work nights so I can’t ever workout on my days off. I go when they open at 6am then have to go to bed right after my sessions done, it makes my routine feel off. Hopefully they make some change and go 24hrs in the future it would nearly double the people going and would make a huge impact in my life!

It was great as usual! However, it would be better if all the massage beds worked!! My rating keeps going down because I need the massage beds after having had two surgeries in the past 8 months! Keep being told that new equipment is coming but haven't seen it in over a year for the beds!!! What good is the point in having a black card?!?!

Supposed to be a judgements free zone... well let me tell you a little story

In October of 22 my dad passed away I was planing to cancel my membership but they don't allow you to do it online. When my dad passed I forgot to go into the gym so I was charged for November, I went in to see if I could cancel and get a refund bc they just took it out that day. And they told me I need to get my emotions in check and grow up.... I will NEVER step into another planet Fitness again.

To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing to express my deep concern and distress following an incident at the Planet Fitness location in Mattoon, IL. As a traveling business professional and a combat-disabled veteran, fitness has been a crucial part of my physical and mental recovery. Unfortunately, my recent experience at this facility has been alarming and counterproductive to my health progress.

On 12/6, I attempted to check in for my routine workout using the Planet Fitness mobile app. I was approached by a front desk clerk who noted the absence of my photo in the system. I acknowledged this and offered to resolve the issue by presenting my identification, including a driver’s license and passport. However, the clerk responded with undue aggression, stating that he was canceling my membership for “talking back”. Despite my attempts to address the situation calmly and professionally, the clerk escalated the matter, loudly announcing he was calling the police.

The responding officers, upon hearing my explanation, were equally perplexed by the situation. They suggested I visit the YMCA instead. This level of hostility, particularly towards a veteran with PTSD, is deeply troubling. Planet Fitness promotes a “Judgment Free Zone,” yet the behavior of this employee was anything but.

As of today, I have received a notification of membership cancellation. This is particularly distressing given my frequent and issue-free use of Planet Fitness facilities over the years. I urge the Better Business Bureau to investigate this matter to prevent similar incidents in the future. This behavior should not be representative of an organization that claims to provide a welcoming and supportive environment.

Joined this gym cause it was advertised as open 24 hours 5 days a week. It was only open 24 hours 4 days a week when I joined. I go to the gym late at night because it’s all I have time for. After going for a couple months they’ve reduced hours and close at 11PM. This is really unfortunate because I like this gym but I’ll rarely be able to go in before 11PM and can’t afford to spend money on their expensive membership plan to go maybe once a month.

Fire your cleaning crew . I have been a Planet Fitness member for over 10 years and have traveled over 40 states and this was the dirtiest one I have been to. Dried hair in the shower , toilet stall filthy and the 2 employees just busy on their phone and talking to each other. Was there Sunday 7:am for an hour.

I canceled my membership 3 months ago and still been charged the annual fee plus 3 months and won't reimburse my when I'm getting charged but supposedly they don't have a record thats opened says its canceled but still getting charge than the lady act like I'm lieing but wouldn't provide a number or email to send a picture to prove it update 6/3/22 went in and showed them that im still getting charged and wanted me to pay the balance said I wasn't canceled when I went in and canceled place is a rip off and ima tell every body

You have to be pretty loud with your weights and grunts to make it sound. $20 a month and you can go to any planet fitness plus a massage after each workout!
