Another Update.

The temperature is cooler, points taken off for staff not having any clue as to why or when it would be fixed.

If I had to guess the owner is trying to keep overhead down and the I do not get the impression the owner works out or maybe they do hot yoga but it was too hot and I don't appreciate getting the run around about it.

I was told the high temperature is on purpose, that the landlord sets the temperature and keeps it this hot. The gym apparently has zero control over the thermostat. The staff was quick to point out they had the fan on high.

This is unsafe.

Clean gym, unbelievably hot I brought a digital thermometer and the coolest spot is the locker room. The gym was 76 to 78.

The back area with the assisted chin dip was the hottest.

I asked the front desk person she was friendly but powerless to fix the issue.

I still have my Crunch membership so I went there where is dirty but a very pleasant 68 to 69 across the gym.

The 2 star review is to get your attention, who ever the keeper of the thermostat is, I will be happy to change it to how responsive you were once you correct the situation.

It seems impossible to speak to someone with the authority to adjust the thermostat or be is getting the messages and maybe I'm in the minority and every one else likes basting in their sweat as they work out.

This is a good location and I've been to many PF's around the country. The staff cleans often and I have yet to see a broken machine here. Th equipment is all in good condition. I drive right past another location that had three broken machines two weeks ago.

I don't know why the ratings are poor: maybe this place had growing pains when it first opened.

Some notes:
This location has two Bilat chest/Rear delt machines which is great as a solo machine which most location have often gets camped. I do my upper body workouts only at locations that have two of these.

There are 4 of the newer style reclining massage chairs (most locations only have two and often they are the old style). There are two hydro massage machines and one Cyro. I've only seen the Cyro at one other location: at the Villa Park location.

I can't speak forth summer temperatures in here that some have complained about as i only started coming here in the Fall but temperature is comfortable currently.

This location is great! Very pleased to see so much new equipment including but not limited to the hack squat and free weight rack! I have gone to every PF in my area this one tops them all in my opinion. Facility is clean and the staff was very polite and helpful shout out to the overnight staff.there are two reasons I only gave 4 stars.1 there’s not a space to do stretches or warm ups and 2 you need to login to the WiFi every time you visit whereas other locations just log you into their Wi-Fi once you sign in

ABSOLUTE DISGRACE! Today, August 19, 2025, around 12:50 PM, I walked into this dump at 151 E Euclid Ave with a VALID guest pass scanned from my phone, registered by a PF Black Card member. Your arrogant front desk clown DEMANDED I take a photo or show ID every damn time—pure harassment! I’ve been a guest before with ZERO issues, and this thug tried to bully me into compliance. This is NOT policy—it’s a power trip! Management, get your act together and fire this jerk! I demand an apology and written clarification, or I’m BLASTING this everywhere. Disgusting service!

I am so happy I became a member of this gym! It is one of the best gyms in the area because it had beautiful brand new machines and the staff keep it immaculate inside. The guests are respectful and follow the rules. I think the reason things run so smoothly is because of Don’s great leadership! He takes pride in his gym and making sure guests have a great experience. I had an issue with my account one time and he helped take care of things efficiently and kindly- he is great along with his staff. Keep up the great work! 👍🏼

This is a fabulous gym. The equipment is great and all the staff members are kind and helpful! I’ve been going to the gym for over a decade & I’ve been to both body building gyms and powerlifting gyms & I will say this is probably my favorite gym I’ve ever been to. I love the diversity in the gym members and again the staff has been wonderful. Thank you!

I drive 15 minutes to this Planet Fitness even though there is another one just 2 minutes from home. I like that the equipment is new, everything is super clean, and the layout is nice. The best part is the spa section which I use every single time. The employees are friendly, especially Sheila.
The only thing I have noticed is that the manager or the guy with long hair sometimes gives off a weird vibe, but it does not take away from the overall experience.

Other than that it is a solid 10 out of 10.

I really enjoy the environment at our local gym. It’s always very clean, with no unpleasant smells—which I truly appreciate. The staff are professional, mind their own business, and focus on keeping the gym clean and ensuring everyone’s safety. Best planet fitness in the northwest suburbs! Super new and clean equipment plus the cryotherapy lounge chair is amazing! My only complaint is that staff is not very available at the front counter. I’ve frequently had to wait 5-10 minutes to book a massage chair or tanning session which can be annoying. Great place besides that though!

MEMBERS PLEASE SANITIZE AFTER USING EQUIPMENT.

I have been a member with planet fitness since 2017 and they finally opened this one up in mount prospect! I want to give a huge shout out to the gentlemen who works most mornings around 6/6:30 am. He always goes around the gym making sure things are put back and cleaning stations refilled.

I have noticed that most members do not sanitize equipment or weights after using them. As a mom of 2 little kids, 2 months postpartum, I ask that people please sanitize. I sanitize after using equipment but now need to sanitize before too since I’ve noticed no one sanitizing at all, and I can’t risk my babies getting sick 😭
My toddler caught a cold/stomach bug this week from me, and the gym is the only place I went ❤️‍🩹

Planet Fitness is the only gym where I can lift weights and lift my spirits at the same time! The place is so clean, I half-expect the equipment to come with a little “Cinderella” soundtrack. The staff at Planet Fitness is so friendly, they could make a grumpy cat smile! They greet you like you’re a long-lost friend and are always ready to help—I'm pretty sure they have a secret training program for being the world’s best cheerleaders!

With tons of equipment and zero judgment, I can sweat like a beast without worrying about anyone side-eyeing my questionable dance moves on the treadmill.

i live about 2 hours away from my Main Planet Fitness. I’m out here for work. I’ve been to about 15+ other planet fitnesses and have not had any problem purchasing a Day pass or paying because i understand I am not a black card member. I asked the person at the front desk if i can just pay a fee just to use the gym or even purchase a day pass. the blonde girl would not allow me to under any circumstance. I Went to the Planet fitness down the street 10 minutes away. They allowed me with no problem at all to purchase. I don’t understand the problem at all. Just became an inconvenience.

Brand new location. Mostly very friendly and helpful staff. Black card lounge with cryobeds and massage chairs. There are also tanning beds and "red light" cabins but beware: there is no info on the light wave length in these AND there is a warning of UVF light which completely nullyfies the benefit of these cabins. NIR light therapy must be providing very specific narrow band of near infrared to be healing.

This 5 star review is for Anthony only. This gym is very nice. Anthony is very nice and is always cleaning. My boyfriend and I come here every weekend. Anthony always is so nice and says hi and talks to us. He never stops cleaning and will run - literally run over - to the desk to help me and drop whatever he is cleaning. However… I cannot say the same for the rest of the staff. It makes me sad that he is the one working very hard and everyone else is on their phone. They don’t even say hey when we walk into the gym.
