Layout of location is a bit off. Most machines feel tight and close together but cardio has more space than needed. Locker rooms are okay but plan to go home to shower since they only have rain fall shower heads making it awkward to wash hair or shave one's legs. They don't have hydromassage beds but sadly loungers instead.

I like this place and the people that work here. They are friendly and the place is well maintained. The problem is that there are far too many weird dudes half naked flexing in the mirror in the locker room and sometimes in the gym. It's pretty disgusting. Other than that all good.

Machines are disorganized and newer machines are already broken. Whoever placed the machines in the workout area put them in position with no rhyme or reason, so unless you know exactly where the machine you want to use next is, you'll have to look around for it. The club closed for several days to put in new machines that are already broken a month later.

The treadmills also run like they haven't been lubricated in months, if ever (it literally takes 2-3 minutes to do, and wouldn't take more than 15-20 minutes to do them all at once). This is a common PF problem that I haven't seen nearly as often at other gyms.

Certain members of gym staff aren't polite. Certain times I can make purchases from the cooler with my card on file, and other times I'm told with an attitude that they don't do that...which I know is a lie.

Recent change to bag policy says small bags are fine to be carried, but staff misinterprets "gym floor" with anywhere outside the locker rooms and not on the actual floor - which was the intention of the rule, as it contains verbiage including "tripping hazard" and a mention of insurance. The machines in the place even have small hooks on them for such items, but they're not allowed. Staff won't even ask if you have medical items or things or that nature in them - they just demand you put it away or leave.

Cancelled my membership. Won't be back. Nothing in that gym is worth $25/month.

They redid their weight machines and it's kind of confusing now. Stuff is just randomly placed. Pretty sure they reduced machines. Only 1 tri machine now! Chest press was great. They need to adjust the Ab Cruncher. I stopped after 2 very painful sets. Granted I am 62, but it never hurt before so something is clearly wrong.

I was loving the gym until they changed their schedule, they're no longer 24/7.
This schedule change really interfered with my workout program. I was going 5 days a week, now I can only go 3.
This is really upsetting to me.

Been coming to this gym for a solid 6 years…. I let the shady looking car parked up front on the sidewalk with the overnight staff smoking pot in there (among plenty of other things) slide (and trust me I’m the last person to judge smoking weed there’s just a time and place) with this location, but the change of hours/not being 24 hours (at least Monday-Thursday) was the last straw drawn (with 0 warning or anything)
*also finding out that the staff openly talk poorly of people working out along with possibly taking pictures! is just so unprofessional, unacceptable & uncomfortable!

It's close to my house.
I pay extra for tanning but I believe they never changed the bulbs. You can go in for 12 minutes and get nothing. Plus they don't clean the beds between customers. I've brought this up many times and gotten no answer.

Good luck using equipment
Sadly, I have not been able to use the gym with the free kids allowed for the summer. Downers Grove South High School must have closed their gym for the summer cause they are all at PF.
Planet fitness of course is still going to charge me every month to allow them to go for free.
I believe PF should allow paying members the option to pause our accounts [not having to get a medical reason or go into the military] and stop payment so that we can find another gym to use over the summer at the time we can use it.
It's that or total cancelling of the membership I guess. It was nice cause it was so close.
I am hoping if I go at 5 AM in the morning.I will avoid the crowd where I can use the equipment but it's totally unfair I'm having to do this!

They are finally getting the woman's washrooms cleaned, Many times I have gone in there to find a bunch of employees sitting at the front desk drinking frozen slurpy drinks chatting while the bathrooms were despicable. If you talk to them they disappear into the back room, Check back there if you're there and there's no employee for several hours they may have fell asleep in one of the back rooms.
Sadly, you cannot make any contact with the owner of this gym and he used to be the same owner of the Woodward Ave Bolingbrook location.

Store manager Hector is very rude. I went into this location to drop down from Black Card to Classic and was told there was a fee to do this. So I said I would hold off, went home and looked up the terms of agreements and websites. However, no where in terms and agreements or website does it disclose this. Ive also asked others and was told they were never charged to drop down their membership.

So I call in and speak with Hector again and tell him this. I wanted this fee to be waived as I do not belive this is fair. I was calm and respectful. Told him I was not trying to be rude or be a jerk and that I understood it wasnt him but that I didnt think it was right. He instantly starts cutting me off and arguing with me. Told me they have seperate terms of agreements that I do not see. And when I said I read all 10 something pages of the agreement he cuts me off and says there isnt 10 pages...I printed it. I guess he is right because there is 15 pages. But weird thing to argue with me on. He then tells me that I am yelling at him...what? I havent once raised my voice and he barely will let me talk. I stated that I have not once raised my voice and was calm and more professional on the phone than he was...he then says that I need to you to understand that this is the third conversation we have had about this...its not we have only spoken twice. He then says no..you are aware i can see your records right?..I have only spoken about this fee 2 times...because before this I was unaware there was a fee to do this. He then asked me that I am aware he is at work right? And how I was taking him away from customers and doing his job. This is my home gym so technically I am his customer. I eventually started talking over him because he won't let me get a word in and then he tells me if I keep talking over him he will hang up on me. I flat out said..but it's okay for you to talk over me? He eventually ends up giving me a phone number to call to see if I can get this fee waived after I told him I was done arguing with him and flat out asked for it. This is all I wanted. If he would have just told me he didn't have the authority to waive the fee but here is a number to call..I would've said great thanks for your help and that would have been the end of it. But no, he wanted to argue. He was egging me on the whole conversation and was extremly combative. Not sure if he was having a bad day...but if this is how you speak to people who are respectful and calm than how do you handle rude or upset people?

I have never had an issue at PF before. In fact everyone else is always friendly and I usually enjoy coming here. But something needs to be done about Hector. He needs some classes on how to speak to people and work in customer service.

A YEAR!! tried canceling in person and was told by front desk my membership had been cancelled come to find out I’m still being charged every month and that I was supposed to get a confirmation email and never received one. They take money out of my card every month and somehow I owe money. How do I owe money when they are constantly charging me every month. This gym is an absolute joke. Won’t recommend to anyone. First, know that 5 stars is a rare rating for me to give. It has to beat my expectations to get that. So my 4 stars is probably most people's 5 stars. Just started here recently for my weekly work outs. Everything pretty much meets my expectations, however, showers were not the best maintained. Shower curtains were a little dirty. Floors could use routine mopping in the locker rooms. Just some general going around and maintaining of the place would make the difference for me. I tried using the massage chairs last time I was in there and I was told that all were down except one that was a flat lay down unit. I expect these to be working for me when my membership specifically names these amenities as part of the features of my level of membership. This put me on the edge of making it 3 stars.

I’m a trucker I go to planet fitness all across the country. This is by far the work location equipment wise, I don’t know what is it about this location but I can never run on the treadmill at this location. It feels like I’m going to fall on every treadmill machine here. The equipment is old!

They have improved a lot in the last few months and made the place friendlier. I see employees cleaning more frequently and had a concern recently that was taken seriously, which I appreciate. Today I went in to the Woodridge location to try to move my membership over to this location, in trying to explain why I couldn’t transfer online the store manager Andrea was very rude to me, wouldn’t let me complete a sentence, just totally disregarded me. I tried explaining to her that another location canceled my membership to bring me over to there location in Hickory Hills and that they waived the annual fees because they could see I just paid the annual fee last month, but going to Hickory Hills was inconvenient and out my way, that I needed Woodridge location instead. Andrea told my that they don’t have the ability to waive fees, even though I saw it done at Hickory, i explained to her that I’d been a member over a year and that I just paid my annual, that she could see this in my PF acct, she then stated she can’t look into my PF acct, as I tried explaining to her that the employee there had just looked me up by phone number, she then turned to him and was rude to him, telling him to erase the screen! As she continued to cut me off, I kept saying to her can u let me finish my statement, and she refused. I asked for the corporate #, because how is this lady a manager when she care’s nothing about customer service. She told me to wait the 90 days at Hickory or upgrade plain and simple! So forget I’ve been with PF over a year, and it’s not my fault my membership was canceled instead of transfered, Just sad

This facility is the most terrible facility as ever they are stealing money changing the race that they're charging every other time they charge my account the manager is garbage she does not respond. Corporate is garbage as well because they don't reach out they send the manager letter she doesn't reach out there's no follow-through I'm having my lawyers involved and there's been other several different complaints and we're all putting our money together ensuing Planet Fitness.
I had to address review because when I went into the facility I thought I was going to need it with the food manager he doesn't understand anything she was terrible terrible she's terrible I was met with Jason and Jason is phenomenal Jason understood what I was saying she saw the reoccurring problems then understand as well and advised me what was the next best step doesn't mean the lawsuit is going to stop I'm still potentially with the rest of the people but I respect Jason he should be the newest manager

Going to this planet fitness was outright one of the worst experiences i have ever had at a gym. The management was blatantly rude, and honestly outrageously disrespectful towards me and my friends. Upon arrival we received dirty looks from the so called “manager” and as we started our workout we received a warning from the “manager” to quiet down, to which we apologized sincerely. As we continued our workout quietly, we were then approached rudely by the “manager” and told we can leave if we have a problem, and that if i can’t handle the weight that i shouldn’t be squatting it. Not only is this an extremely inappropriate comment to make, it was outright rude considering nobody else made it an issue that me re racking my weights was an issue. This manager should be fired immediately, and most certainly did not have a “Judgement Free attitude “

Most individuals who go to the gym essentially go to get fit and always look forward towards the motivation given by the staff. However, in no way does this location do that. The staff here and especially the “manager” is someone who is extremely arrogant and rude towards the people who come to the gym. From the moment me and my friend stepped foot into this location, we were treated with no respect whatsoever. Firstly, we were treated like children in a library telling us to quite down when no noise or loud grunts were made, even though this happens when you’re pushing yourself at the gym. Not a single person in the gym had a problem with us except her. The manager of this location really felt like they had all the power in the world to approach us with such arrogance. The absolute worst planet fitness I’ve ever been to. Me and my friends were working out and we were treated with extremely rude service/behavior by the manager. Right when we walked into the gym we were given dirty looks by the “manager.” When we started our workout we were told to quite down, we did not think much of it the first time and had went on with our workout. After she came up to us again after making no loud noises we were given the worst possible attitude ever which was not necessary at all. It made it seem like she did not want any of us there since the moment we stepped into the gym. She asked us to leave, when no other person working out had a problem with any of us being there and was not even given any type of complaint. As a person of color this situation could be interpreted in many different ways, but the manager who runs this place is horrible. 7-25-22, I also filed a compliant online with PF today too! I was interrupted by staff member at (Woodridge, IL location) after only working out 20min into it while walking on treadmill after work I went to get a mini workout inl! I have my medical asthma bag ALWAYS with me while I work out, he demanded that I remove it off their equipment or told I'd have to leave! I was Highly insulted by his words and shocked too! He was condescending with voicing his authority to remove or leave the premises. He said you have 2 options put it in the locker or leave it in your car! Mind you he had no care about my medical matter with his options! I informed him I’ve never had any issues in ALL the yrs of working out at PF about this & today I was humiliated, harassed and rudely interrupted in my workout! This Woodridge location I've already had 3 different encounters with their management and staff with tremendous poor and lack of care and interest to within their customer service! These staff members and current managers run the show and have no consequences how they treat their customers! With this now being the 3rd issue Ive experienced I now feel the need to report this Woodridge location! I felt so violated with the rudeness! This location and this guy’s lack of customer service needs to be address! He was vocal get it off or leave! I wasn’t able to get my workout in! I took pictures,told him Im going to report him for forcing me to leave! He stated he didn’t care,go ahead! I pay to workout at PF! He completely disrupted my workout! RUDE, very poor & lack of customer service!! Very uncalled for! This Woodridge location really has horrible customer service with their manager and staff team! Im VERY UPSET and was very disrespected! fyi.. For years I belonged to the PF on Harlem & Foster and they are Truly Quality Customer Service Awesome!! Total night and day with this horrible nightmare Woodridge location!! I moved in the burbs and this is what I get! My old PF Harlem & Foster can SCHOOL this horrible location BIG time with teaching them how to provide QUALITY! Excellence! Care and how to treat Customers right! OMG!!!

This is awful. I have heart failure and got Covid January 3rd. I called this site and told the person I needed to cancel my membership. He said, verbatim, "consider it cancelled!", after I gave him my info. I was very sick, as was all of my family. Given my poor heart condition, I also developed long Covid. This week, I get a call that I owe $280+. The collections people were VERY rude and told me I had to come in, in person to cancel, or send a registered letter. SO...there was no way I could do either, given my sickness. So, those signs that say no contracts are A LIE!!!! If I cannot come in or get to a post office, I HAVE A CONTRACT THAT I CANNOT GET OUT OF.....the regional manager said they cannot help me. THIS IS AWFUL AND UNETHICAL. HOW CAN YOU ADVERTISE NO CONTRACT BUT THEN PUT ME IN AN IMPOSSIBLE SITUATION THAT BINDS ME TO A CONTRACT UNLESS I FOLLOW A CERTAIN PROTOCOL....A PROTOCOL THAT MY PHYSICAL ILLNESS DID NOT ALLOW ME TO FOLLOW....

Will be contacting corporate for this location. My guest and I were harassed last night by two employees!! Ms. Raay and another male employee. Literally chased out the door and also got followed into the dressing room. I Was there for maybe 5 minutes. It was our first time there and we didn't know how to use the tanning beds... Instead of coming to help us and educate us they decided to threaten me and remove my membership? Luckily i caught the whole encounter on video. I also had to make a police report from the entire incident.

Female Staff seems distracted half the time and continuously talking on their phones. They never say “hello” when walking in or “have a good day” when leaving. Very, very poor customer service.

First time here. The staff is incredibly kind. They really do practice what they preach…a judgement free place to work out. I am a life long LA fitness member and definitely recognized the difference…this place is definitely superior.

It's a great place to work out. I usually never have wait to use the equipment. Only Thing is there is no Fitness Training Class But if you ask the Manager He will show you how use the equipment He was a big help

Desk guy was very rude. And insulting do not make this your gym they only care about taking your money. Plus the place is dirty. With all the monthly membership they get one would think they would take better care of it.

No one is ever up front, they changed the hours so open way less and they changed the rules for black card members and their gurst. Plus no one wears a mask and no one enforces the mask mandate. I will be canceling my membership
