My two granddaughters attend premier one and I must say they love it. One of my granddaughters has been attending for a while but I am so amazed how my other granddaughter recently started and she’s doing amazing with the little time she’s been there. I am so proud of the girls. Premier One has done amazing work with them. I appreciate the parents, the workers, Madison, and your mom do amazing work. I am a current dancer at Premier One Dance Conservatory and Ms. Adrienne along with Ms. Madison are great teachers. I used to always watch the recitals, thinking about being up on stage one day. They have made that come true, making me a better dancer everyday. I really appreciate them helping and being patient with me because I know how complicated I am sometimes. I am a parent of a competitor team dancer and have traveled extensively with team. The experiences of a lifetime for some kids who would have never left the city limits. I absolutely love that Premier One Dance Conservatory is a black-owned, family-oriented business. My 4-year-old daughter adores attending her dance classes here. She has been there a year now and every quarter, I ask her if she wants to return, and she enthusiastically says yes every time. She loves Ms. Adrianne and enjoys dancing with her friends. They’re very professional and always supportive to all the girls on the dance team . They treat the dance moms like a family. I deeply appreciate all the hard work Maddie and Ms.Adrianne do for not just my girls the whole team. I’m very thankful and see my babies approving every year.

I have learned a lot from this studio and I have grown, because when I first came I could not dance and I was really, really shy. But now I have loosened up a lot, I am now on the competition team and have learned a lot from this team and Dance Teachers and we all stick together as one and we also learn from each other like what to do and what not to do and especially from me being on the competition for the first time.

I have been at Premier One for around year and this is the best experience I have ever had at a dance studio. After a huge physical fight with students and parents and poor treatment of students and staff during competition, Premier One Dance Conservatory lost 20 of their tops dancers and y staff members ……. AGAIN!. The students and parents all complained of being talked to and treated so poorly, they simply could not remain . This is NOT the first time…….

I should have read the writing on the wall but still, I tried my best to believe in this studio’s cause. I donated a baby grand piano and even donated time but the goal here is collecting money . Not developing dancers and artist.

Madison Savannah has inherited this poorly ran business (from her mother) and she maintains this poor standard as CEO from a college dorm. Adrienne ( mother of Madison) openly confesses that she is “old and tired” especially when asked about proper receipts, emails and calendars. Staff constantly changes because of poor work environment and poor communication skills. The only thing done on time, in time, is a popcorn fundraiser. No one knows where the money goes the students certainly don’t see it.

My daughters has done well considering. However, she also has a few scars from the words of an old instructor who has forgotten what is us to be young and bruises by the careless words of a novice dance instructor and heiress to a dance empire that will never be.

There is talent in the school, but the teachers and coaches and mentors are not here. Just the last of the great instructors (Ms. Adrienne) remain. Spare your children. Just find another school. Keep scrolling. . 😉

There is only one word to describe Premier One Dance Conservatory which is excellent. The family-like atmosphere is what really makes them even more spectacular. My daughter has had tremendous growth since she first started. Her confidence has gone through the roof thanks to the director, Ms. Madison. It is truly a blessing to find programs in the community for our young African-American children to participate in and gain professional experience from. Premier one dance conservatory is an example of excellence in molding Young African-American minds and bodies. The students range in age from 4 to 18 and are taught a myriad of dance styles (ballet, tap, jazz, modern interpretation and gospel). The staff is excellent at working with all age ranges, and teaching them how to work in collaboration with specific routines.
Ms. Madison is the primary DC choreographer all while being a full-time student at an HBCU. She works with the on-site staff and works with the students when she comes home on, breaks to be able to pull off a flawless performance twice a year. Take your child elsewhere! It's unbelievable how the staff mentally and emotionally abuse these children. Unprofessional and very condescending. Parents, please understand that child maltreatment can lead to serious mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, substance use disorders, eating disorders, dissociative identity disorder, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Choose a healthier environment.

People here do have talent, but upon attending a recital, it’s obvious that there’s no production team. Music was choppy, we got seated late, the intermission was after 2 hours of dances and small speeches, and apparently, there was another hour of performances after the intermission. The concession stand didn’t have much to eat either.

Tldr: People here can dance, but the company as a whole struggles with putting together a proper show.
