I love practicing yoga at Pulsation Yoga! They have great instructors with a variety of teaching styles, small class sizes, and a friendly inclusive community. I appreciate the way the instructors focus on proper form giving feedback during the class. They are encouraging and give ways to adapt the practice the meet you where you are. I love being a part of this community!

Hoped in Sunday morning advanced yoga class.
People created such a positive environment and I was welcomed like as old friend.
As class descried it was not fundamental. Class atmosphere and challenges are really "fun the mental yoga class”. Room temp was not elevated, but sweat like hot yoga,
When I visit Arlington Heights, I will definitely hop in this studio again.
Highly recommended.

After 3 years of mostly Zoom yoga classes, I was searching for an in-person studio with a similar vibe to my original local community of yogis. I found Pulsation in Arlington Heights and used the unlimited classes for a week opportunity they offered to sample multiple classes and teachers. That was great! I found a challenging and fun practice with nice people and have now been taking part in sessions for several weeks. I am glad to have found Pulsation.

07.13.2023 - Accompanied by my friend and long-time yogi, Sarah, I attended Nadiya's Intermediate Asana, Wednesday night class last night. Although I am a novice with some past knee/joint injuries, Nadiya welcomed me into her class with open arms. She provided gentle guidance; appropriate, individualized, accommodations; and inclusivity, so that I could participate along with the more experienced classmates. I left feeling refreshed, enlightened, included, and balanced. I can't wait to return!

Coming back to yoga after many years away, the Slow Flow yoga class with Elizabeth Vesto was the perfect choice for me. It was gentle, but still invigorating and challenged me just enough. I loved the sound healing at the end. I will definitely be back!

Pulsation AH is a wonderful, more personal yoga class experience! Sandy and Susan especially make the environment welcoming. As someone with chronically tight hamstrings and lower back issues, I have enjoyed their pace and transitions between poses to reach deeper stretches and overall consistent focus to get where I need to go. If you would like a more personal coach approach to your yoga experience, you'll love Pulsation in AH.

I truly enjoy the atmosphere at Pulsation. Everyone is so warm and welcoming in the classes, both staff and other members. Unlike other studios, they TEACH you techniques to better your practice which is something I have never experienced at another studio. It's a bit of a drive for me to get to Pulsation but it worth it!

Every class at Pulsation Yoga came as a surprise package for me. I have been practicing yoga at home by following few youtube channels but I thought now is the time to check my posture, alignment and strength and I enrolled at Pulsation. Not only I am getting good tips to improve my stance, I am learning so many different forms of yoga. All the instructor's here are really kind and helpful and go an extra mile to help students. Really love this place for all the positivity and good vibes that the instructor's are sharing.

I have been taking Kara's Yin Yoga class at Pulsation Yoga since it launched in August 2021. I LOVE THIS CLASS and I am so happy I found it! Kara regularly shares her wealth and depth of knowledge from her work as a myofascial therapist. I have learned a lot about how the stretches we do are helping my body. Kara is a gifted teacher and practitioner, and I look forward to my future classes with her!

I found everyone that I communicated with were actively listening,to what were my goals and concerns. Genuine warmth and caring is difficult to fake in the student, teacher relationship. I would recommend Pulsation Yoga to anyone looking for somewhere to begin their journey to finding their way to knowing oneself physically, mentally and spiritually. I've been in public service for 30 years as firefighter/medic and feel that i have a good sense of people and this has served me well in life.

I just took another excellent class at this studio. Meagan is wonderful. She added a dharma today about the four elements and how they affect different bodily constitutions. I do not live in the state of Illinois but any time I come back here from Denver to visit my folks I try to get my yoga fix here. I recommend them highly.

Pulsation Yoga has done a great job of offering live-stream classes and connecting with its community. I love Kat's Wednesday class -- noon-1:15 p.m. -- she methodically and thoughtfully guides you through a progression-- allowing you to be challenged, while respecting each person's unique needs. Classes offered online by the studio have been a great way to maintain a practice and find some escape during these difficult times.
Update August 2021: While many classes have resumed in-person, I've been so happy to continue with the Wednesday lunchtime streaming class. Pulsation is great at leading you to a safe, continually evolving practice. Don't be fooled by a slower pace-- the micro-moves will strengthen those little muscles you didn't know existed, while increasing your range of motion. Thanks Pulsation!
Update June 2021: What a great class for tight hips. Kat always surprises with new and gentle ways to effectively strengthen and increase flexibility. Thanks Pulsation!
Update April 2021: I look forward to my Pulsation Class each week. Kat has tremendous skill and knowledge in building mobility and strength. Highly recommend.
Update: December 2020 Pulsation continues to deftly serve its community.I'm so glad to be able to access classes online!

Dana's combined Level 1 & 2 classes are excellent. Exactly the right combination of level 1 foundation with just the right sort of opportunities to challenge yourself to try something a little bit out of your comfort zone. A great, safe way to move your practice forward in a comfortable, encouraging environment. Very good social distancing protocols as well.

I have been practicing yoga for 9 years at a studio by my home and am loyal to it. But because I’m driving a child to a sport’s practice in Arlington Heights and (sadly) have to remain sober to drive home, I looked for something to fill the 2 hours.
Nadiya’s 6:45 class was perfect, but would I like someone who wasn’t from “my” studio? The answer is yes. She is very challenging and her class shows a great knowledge of yoga and the human body. I guess driving 15 miles away from home will be worth it.

I started on my yoga journey a little less than a year ago and was searching around for a studio where I could learn from knowledgeable, yet encouraging, teachers. I had so many questions and was looking for a place where I would feel welcomed and accepted into the community. I looked around, tried a few different places, but the studios I tried felt a bit judgmental, even cold, towards a rookie like me. It wasn’t met with an obvious hostility, but more of a subtle skepticism, almost as if they weren’t sure I could cut it. I felt a little put off and a tad discouraged but kept trying different places. And then, I stumbled upon Pulsation.
I was immediately greeted by Alison, one of the three owners, with a bright smile and a warm welcome. She asked me my name and my background with yoga, and I told her that I was a beginner looking to learn. She told me that I had found the right place, and I believed her. She was genuine, warm, and upbeat, and I learned a lot in my first class with her. She made hands-on adjustments (asking me beforehand), and encouraged questions and feedback, making sure nothing felt “off”. When a pose finally “clicked”, she - along with the rest of the class - were genuinely excited for me. I was hooked (mainly because of how encouraged I felt by all the feedback I received). After a while, I asked Alison about other classes I could try, even inquiring about her Level 2 class on Sundays. At no point did I get the feeling that I wasn’t “allowed” to attend a more advanced class. In fact, she encouraged me to try any class that I wanted, citing how great each teacher was at modifying and adapting for each individual student.
I have now been going to Pulsation for a little over half a year, and I have tried many of their teachers and classes. The teachers are incredible. Susan and Sandy, the other two owners, are equally awesome as Alison, and the three of them make Pulsation’s energy and community what it is. They have brought so many interesting and diverse workshops into the studio, ranging from yoga for golfers, yoga and wine, partner yoga, gong therapy, kids yoga, headphone yoga with DJ Taz Rashid, workshops for all sorts of specific skills with world renowned teachers, and so much more. Each teacher I have tried has helped me in their own way with their unique teaching style and personality. Nadiya’s Tuesday and Wednesday classes have taught me so much about myself and my potential. Sheila, Kat, Dana, Lin (Yin class), Megan and Amy are among my other favorites.
And I would be remiss if I did not mention the wonderful community of yogis and yoginis at Pulsation. They are the most wonderful and positive group of people to be around. Yoga is not easy, and it takes a certain degree of vulnerability to attend a class. But everyone is so encouraging and supportive. No matter what you can - or can’t - do, you are welcomed in and made to feel like a part of the community. And that really speaks to what Pulsation is all about. They care about each of their students, whether you are a beginner or veteran, a visitor or regular….whether you are young or old, male or female….whether you can twist yourself into a pretzel or you can’t. If you are seeking to deepen your practice and have an open heart, I wholeheartedly recommend that you try Pulsation. They practice what the preach, by honoring every light within each person who walks through their studio door.

I moved away so it's been a while since I've gone to Pulsation, but this morning I reflected on something one of their instructors said in a class FIVE years ago, so I figure that warrants a review. I've been to countless yoga studios and Pulsation remains the best.
Kathy, Jim, and all of the instructors create such a warm and inviting atmosphere, from the zen decor, to the dynamic class offerings, to the personalized adjustments offered. I felt every class challenged me in new ways and improved my technique with tips I still use today. The classes go deeper than simply moving the body--they will challenge your mind, improving your mental flexibility and willpower.
My journey with Pulsation lasted several years, beginning at the LZ location and continuing at AH when I moved. To me, Pulsation is more than a studio--it's a genuine, authentic community. Definitely go if you have the chance!

Pulsation Yoga is a place that TEACHES you technique so you can actually do yoga poses safely and get the most out of practice. They're not about muscling into a pose but rather softening into the pose. I travel frequently, and get to try yoga classes through various fitness centers and studios - such as Core Power. None of them offer the technique teaching that Pulsation offers. Pulsation only hires very experienced instructors that do more than simply guide you through a class - they empower you with knowledge. Result - no injuries, and a full yoga experience that leaves you pain free, stress free, strong and empowered inside and out. Highly recommend!!!
