The soccer fields at Rantoul Sports Complex are top notch Well maintained spacious and perfect for tournament play It is a great facility overall with lots of potential That said traffic can be a challenge Cars parked along the road make it really hard to see when turning in or out and it feels a bit chaotic during busy events Also coming from Bloomington it definitely feels like it is out in the middle of nowhere Still once you are there it is a great place for sports Just give yourself extra time and be cautious pulling in

Refs cheated the entire weekend. We went over the rules for a week. Then we get there and almost no rules were implemented. The refs told us they make the rules. Food from the concession stand was plain. It was just an all around horrible experience.

The Rantoul Family Sports Complex is beautiful! The whole time we were there (youth football jamboree), there were workers picking up and taking care of the facility. The only reason I'm giving them 4 stars is that for such a large event complex, there is only one entry/exit. Granted, this isn't likely an issue all the time. However, when our jamboree was done, it took 30 minutes to get out.

They do not take credit cards. Bring cash for the entry fee. We played Friday through Sunday for a U17 baseball tournament. It was $20 per person for a weekend pass. The fields are in great shape. All turf. They have nets covering the seating area, which is great when you have 4 fields in close proximity. They have concessions, but we didn't look at what they had. Bathrooms were right by the fields for the older kids. Plenty of parking for our tournament. There were multiple age groups playing. Most of the umps were actually decent. Only 1 was God awful which is a step up from most tournaments. Not much to do in the area. We stayed at the Holiday Inn which is right next to the fields. Worth staying there if possible. There is a Walmart nearby and a bunch of fast food places. If you have time you can drive 10 minutes to a decent sit down restaurant. Agave Mexican and ETs is where we ate. Both were good.

Beautiful facility for baseball, soccer and football. Turf fields - flat, fast and hot. Great playground for kids that aren't playing sports and plenty of easy parking. Bathrooms close to the fields.
This place really is a gem. Can't wait to come back. Happy the good folks of Rantoul made this place happen.

Edit July 2023: Another great visit to an exceptional facility. Few more side notes to consider:
Heat. It is hot, hot, hot in the summer. Fans should bring pop up canopies if they have them, and plenty of water. There is zero shade for fans.
Video: Thankfully, these fields have netting instead of chain link fence. If you're using gamechanger for video, though, you need a tripod.
Cages: There are at least six hitting cages (maybe 8?) adjacent to the main large baseball fields. There is plenty to availability to do soft-toss or cage work. What a treat. Hope to make it back again someday.

Last thing: We took a minute to drive off the beaten path to view the remains of the massive military base that was in Rantoul since the early 1900's. It is incredible and rough all at the same time. Worth taking a look. You'll be amazed.

Fantastic place for a softball tournament. Plenty of seating and parking. Great amenities at the complex. Nice bathrooms and they had a huge concession stand. Netting overhead so you are not hit with foul balls.

Fields are all turf and in great shape. They do get very hot on hot days playing on the turf. Very enjoyable experience for our weekend softball tournament there. Enjoy!

The fields are fantastic and the location is right off the interstate and easy to get to! It has a Walmart in a hotel very close by with fast food restaurants near by. They offer baseball, softball, soccer, football as far as fields go. Only downside is the food is served by children and had some issues with things be hot and fresh. Overall a great experience though!

Beautiful complex, we enjoy watching our team play soccer there. It's nice that it's close to Walmart too in case you forget something. A few items to be aware of if you are a first time visitor: The concession stand lines get long, it's not big enough when the complex is at capacity. Bringing your own food is a must if you don't have a lot of time between games! For the size of the complex parking, bathrooms, and seating is limited. Come prepared with snacks, TP, and your own chairs 😊

I took the kids (4 and 1 yr old) to the park and splash pad on a Wednesday evening. Great facility. VERY clean and well maintained. Great layout. We ate at the concessions. Food was hot and good but the woman behind the counter was the best. She talked to us about the park and all of the amenities, gave us a RACC map and recommended one of the other parks for our next visit . This complex is a great addition to the community. We will be back again soon!

This is a pretty nice sports facility. I wish they accepted credit/debit cards for access to the tournament, but that may be more if a problem with the baseball tournament and not the facility. I really like that the spectator areas are covered with netting to protect from foul balls coming from other fields and from right over the backstop.

If you get a break definitely visit the main concessions. There is way more variety here than the stands in the quad plexes.
