From my perspective opinion, this was the most difficult and horrible experience that I had to go through for about 2 months to enroll my 3 year old into early learning, this YMCA couldn’t figure out paperwork that was required for my 3 year old to begin early learning, FYI Gabby doesn’t help, calls were promised to be called back and I never received a call back and I had to constantly be calling back to see what was my application status, very disappointed in their service.

We paying 15 month membership to be able to play soccer and used the indoor field and the worse thing ever is that the staff always complain about us when using the tuft field. Like I’m paying for to use and the staff try everything to keep us outside the field. Even they making events in the soccer field so that our crew don’t even show up anymore. The staff always have a complain about us and never promotes us with something. So disappointed of this and always came out with something.

I am not sure if all the YMCA are the same but I have been going to this one located on 27th st and Western Ave and they are very disorganized. I had an issue with the membership charges a while ago and they told me they could not do anything to help me. I am a member of a soccer program that they run at this facility and they charge you $70 every 6 weeks on top of the monthly membership fee and they have told us that if we were going to miss any day for wherever reason to let them know and they will give us a credit for the time missing so back in December I called and le5 them know that I was going to be away for 2 weeks, so today I went back to the facility and I asked them for those 2 weeks credit and their response was that it was no record on file to prove that I had called so they told me that they could not do anything for me. So thanks to someone whom did not do his job correctly putting a note in the system to let them know that I had requested the credit and their manager whom does not know how to solve a situation like this one and all she kept saying was I can not do anything for you, I have to pay the price for people whom do not like their job and they are there just to collect a check every week, meaning that I have to pay for their mistakes.

We signed up months ago and finally tried to get into the habit of going. One of the selling points for me was the childcare in the evening. So, today when I tried to go with my children... no childcare. It took us 45 minutes to get there due to road construction only to turn around and go home.

I’ve taken my daughter to a couple of dance classes on Saturdays. Not a single person greets you when you come in the door. There were at least 3-4 staff members in sight and no one made us feel welcome any of the times we’ve visited. We may need to take our business elsewhere.

As a former YMCA employee and long-time member, I can give an honest review of this Y.

1) Classes are canceled often and communication is very poor.
2) Prices are way too high and offer pitiful discount to members
3) No member appreciation whatsoever. They used to give shirts on your birthday but that has stopped.
4) The coffee they give here is very weak and tastes horrible.
5) There is no pool here, but staff is instructed to say "Our pool is not here it's at another Y." I'm sorry but if the pool is not there, nobody wants to travel to another YMCA.
6) The indoor soccer field is humid as hell and the sauna is either broken or smells.
7) There is nobody to spot you when you lift weights due to the budget.
8) Roaches and rats are common.

However, there are many positives about this YMCA.
1) Never too crowded and don't have to fight for machines
2) Friendly staff
3) Allowed to rent equipment free
4) Spacious facilities
5) Member referral discounts
6) Plenty of parking
7) Safe place for the community away from violence.

Está bien por que es familiar mis hijos deciden si hacen ejercicios con migo o actividades solos dentro del lugar lo que no me gusta es que hace mucha falta otras máquinas de ejercicio con pesas como para las piernas que mantengan un poco más limpio máquinas buenas para glúteos y que no dejen que los niños corran en los pasillos donde están las máquinas una alberca estaría genial yo pago aparte para mi hijo en un programa de natación sería bien estar aquí en el YMCA pero feliz de estar junto a mi hijo haciendo actividad.
