I really enjoy my classes here and all of the instructors are wonderful. They are very helpful with personalized adjustments and hands on cues. Each instructor has a different energy but all so nice and fun while still giving you a good workout. This isn't the kind of Pilates studio where they yell at to you push through, they encourage you to keep going and give you modifications along the way. It's a very thoughtful place. The studio is also very clean, high ceilings, and you can look out the window to distract yourself when things get too hard.

This was my third class at Restore, and I can confidently say the instructors are very detail-oriented and help us build great muscle awareness, they make sure we’re doing every movement correctly. I never thought I’d enjoy Pilates this much! Plus, the space is so clean and cute!

This is the most inclusive studio I’ve ever been to—not just in terms of experience or ability, but in the genuine sense of community they’ve built. We absolutely LOVE Restore Pilates (especially our amazing instructor Tassi!). Restore has been a pleasure to work with from our very first class--which is why we have been coming back weekly for nearly a year now. The studio is beautiful and the staff are all incredibly kind and down to earth. We were both brand new to pilates and Tassi made our first class totally accessible and fun for beginners. I genuinely cannot say enough wonderful things about Restore Pilates. About a year ago, I was referred by a friend who spoke so highly of Jeanne, the founder, that I knew I had to give it a try — even though I hadn't worked out in years and was nervous about getting started.
From my very first private lesson with Jeanne, I felt completely at ease. She is not only an amazing cheerleader but also a truly fantastic instructor — incredibly knowledgeable, attentive, and supportive. She coached me based on my individual needs and helped me safely start to build core strength, something I had struggled with for years. She gave me the confidence that I could actually do this.
After getting comfortable, I transitioned to regular private sessions with Tassiana, who is such a gem. We’ve developed such a strong bond, and I can honestly say she has changed my life for the better. She is kind, patient, and a deeply skilled instructor. Every week, she encourages me and pushes me harder than I think I can go — and I’m always so glad she does. I genuinely look forward to every session with her.
More recently, I began taking group classes and have had the chance to work with other instructors as well. Every instructor brings their own unique style and incredible energy, which has only reinforced how special this studio is. There’s a true sense of community at Restore Pilates — it’s supportive, encouraging, and full of positivity.
Joining Restore Pilates has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I am beyond grateful to be part of this beautiful community.

I started at Restore Pilates as a mid 40s guy that didn't particularly excel in athletic competition but found an interest in fitness with adulthood, alongside a counterproductive desk job. After a long layoff I wanted to run another Chicago Marathon, I felt my cardio was ready but persistent back pain had me looking at my options to be prepared (and keep the job).
I had experience with a trainer in the gym focusing on weights, light experience with yoga but neither seemed to address the deficiency I thought was in my back, and reading about Pilates and how it incorporates both strength and range of motion seemed like a good choice. Restore offered a new client promo with three individual private lessons that suited me perfectly, after these I was ready for their group classes, still affordable with only four people per class and individualized support throughout.
Fairly soon I knew I wasn't only marathon ready but was gaining a far better sense of my own body mechanics unlike ever before. I never feel lost or confused with the movements we learn, which is saying something if you've ever seen me dance. The environment and community is incredibly welcoming which has made me want to continue this investment in my health over three years and counting.
I may not have many marathons left in me, but I'll be 50 soon and when an inevitable body pain arrives this practice has me finding ways to resolve it and not just relieve it. I highly recommend Restore Pilates particularly for newcomers who aren't sure - the results I describe are more achievable than you may think.

Restore Pilates is the absolute best, I can't recommend this studio enough! I have been taking group and private lessons with Suzy for a year now, and it has made such a difference in my strength, stability, and overall confidence.
I used to have chronic neck, shoulder, and back pain from general life stress and from sitting in front of a computer screen all day, but the aches and pains have completely disappeared since starting Pilates. I also built up enough strength and confidence to branch out to other fitness activities - I recently started lifting, which I never would have even considered a year ago!
Suzy helped me gain a much better understanding and awareness of my body, and made the reformer a lot less intimidating for a Pilates beginner like me. She has an approachable, friendly style and is also a great listener - she took an off-hand comment I made about being a gymnast 30 years ago to help connect the dots on how I learn new movements, and it helped create a breakthrough with a movement I was struggling with. The owner, Jeanne, has created a warm, welcoming community with great classes and instructors, and I look forward to my time at the studio every week. Would definitely recommend Restore to anyone who is looking for a Pilates studio!

Adding an update to my previous review. 2 years later, I am still a regular at Restore and still love going to the studio every week! This is the first time in my adult life that I have ever stayed consistent with a fitness routine. Going to Restore regularly has had such a positive impact on my overall health and well-being.
Recently I have been going to Saturday classes with Tassi and she is AWESOME. You can tell she puts a lot of thought into the workouts, as every week feels like a new challenge. I have tried classes with other instructors too and it's clear that everyone here is knowledgeable and truly passionate about their craft. I also love that the studio is small as it allows the instructors to give individualized attention.

Restore is a great community. The instructors challenge you. The clients support you. Restore Pilates has become fundamental to my exercise routine. Pilates had been a mystery to me, what do they do on those machines? I was doing PT at the same time I was introduced to Pilates and now I see Pilates as pre-T. It is deep stretching without chanting. It is strength training of those little muscles tend to tear and derail gains. It improves posture to counter my phone habits. Everything runs off of your core and Pilates helps the core and the extremities in a balanced way. You will be sore. It is part of my routine with martial arts and kettlebells.

I was having a lot of feet and leg pain and it was suggested I try Pilates. I could tell I wouldn't fit on most reformers until I tried the one at Restore. Restore has a rehab reformer to accomodate my size and height so I can do footwork properly. My feet and legs have never felt better.

I LOVE this studio. I've been to other studios that are run by these rail thin sorority type girls who don't make you feel great about your body. This studio is so warm and welcoming- but it is also the real deal with classes and instruction. I have been to about 4 studios in Chicago and this is, by far, my favorite. Restore is a Lincoln Square gem! The studio is beautiful and calming, the instructors are kind and knowledgeable, and the group classes are small (max of 4 people/class) and curated to each person’s specific needs. I've been a client since August 2021 and have never felt so comfortable, supported, challenged, and understood at/by a fitness studio and the community they have fostered. It's a crucial part of my wellness routine and I couldn't recommend Restore Pilates Chicago more highly!

I worked with Jeanne Lee for many years, both in private Pilates sessions and group classes. She is the consummate professional as well as a lot of fun. She is very highly trained and checks in with clients at the start of each session to see if they’ve had any health concerns, muscle aches, soreness, etc., so that we can either give that area extra attention or to work around it. Make no mistake, she pushes you to do more than you think you can (always in a positive way) and that is why one works with an instructor. Lastly, I have chronic back pain due to a hereditary condition called scoliosis. Jeanne took it upon herself to really learn about this condition and how it impacted my movement; she even went to a local workshop specifically on scoliosis so that she could provide me with even more specialized Pilates training! How cool is that! Even though I no longer live in the city, Jeanne and I keep in touch. I know she will remain a lifelong friend!

Fabulous Pilates studio. Having been a pilates enthusiast for the past 16 years, I have gone to many pilates studios including several in NYC. Restore Pilates is hands down one of the best. Jeanne and her team offer a warm welcoming environment with top notch classes along with targeted private instruction. I am so thankful that Jeanne opened up this studio in 2021 - I just love it! The space is beautiful, clean and calming; the Stott equipment is fantastic; and the instructors are well-trained, competent and kind (shout out to Suzy, with whom I've worked the most and who has helped me so much). Also, I'm certain that my regular Pilates practice at Restore allowed me recover from recent major surgery quicker and with less pain and discomfort. Plus, my core is strong and my pelvis is more aligned such that my movement through the world is incredibly less painful!

I have been working with Jeanne (studio owner) for over five years as a private Pilates client. She is highly trained and specialized in pelvic floor therapy, and does an excellent job of tailoring our workouts to my body and its specific needs including past surgical history. I have watched her transform the studio since launching it a few years ago and am continually impressed with her hard work and the care that she puts into it. I tend to work directly with her, but I feel confident going to any other instructors when she has to substitute because I know she ensures the highest quality in their teaching. I live outside the neighborhood, but the studio is constantly engaging in community events and has a warm and inviting atmosphere.

I am on my feet all day and was experiencing a lot of feet and leg pain due to my job, which then led to back pain. I was really sceptical of Pilates and I didn't think it would feel like I really worked out. It was one of the hardest workouts I have ever done, but I was guided every step. I started doing Pilates and my instructor focused on doing a lot of footwork in different positions and to also strengthen my abdominals. This really helped significantly reduce my pain and I am able to get through my days pain free. Thank you Pilates!

I started with Restore Pilates when they opened. I've had the opportunity to work with almost every instructor there and enough can't be said about how amazing everyone is and how much they have helped me since that time. I can't recommend this studio enough and have been a client for 2+ years. I started with privates and moved to groups and enjoy all of the classes and instructors. I especially love the chill and intimate vibe. I needed to make real change coming out of the pandemic and was dealing with regular hip pain and getting chiropractic therapies. I absolutely love this studio! Before I got married, I got really into the SolidCore franchise, which I find unsustainable long-term (if you know, you know!). I loved doing pilates regularly though, and wanted to find a studio that was still a great workout, but more inclusive and manageable feeling. I tried a few studios across Chicago, and Restore has by far been my favorite. The teachers are knowledgable, welcoming, and guide you through a great workout. I particularly love classes with Jeanne, who owns the studio. She knows so much about anatomy and I really trust that her workouts are balanced and thoughtful. I used to dread going to SolidCore, and sort of approached it like I was taking my medicine. Going to Restore is something I actually look forward to. I feel engaged and connected to my body, and I feel supported by the teacher leading the class. I go a few times a week now, and I really do love it!

My abs hurt and my body is screaming, 'STOP Please', but I keep going. I feel encouraged as well as challenged to do my best. If I can't, that's okay too. I'm again reminded of the progress that I've made, to remember how I feel now, compared to day one...and how awesome I am too. ☺️

I mix up private sessions with group sessions and work with multiple instructors. I like how the instructors pay attention to the clients' needs and strengths and address both. Restore has a very warm vibe and is a welcoming place to seasoned gym goers and those recovering from an injury or new to Pilates.

Love having Restore Pilates in my neighborhood! The instructors are knowledgeable and welcoming to all levels. They offer both private and small group sessions. Group classes are scheduled at accessible times for an 8-5 work schedule (sometimes a rarity for pilates). Highly recommend!!

I can’t say enough good things about the Restore Pilates community! I’ve taken both private and group classes and have had nothing but positive experiences. Jeanne and her staff are so enthusiastic, welcoming, and genuinely care about every individual that comes into the studio. The space itself is bright, airy, and clean. The group classes are a perfect size, and they feel so much more intimate and personalized than any group class I’ve taken elsewhere. Jeanne has also been amazing at developing modifications and helping me reconnect with my body after healing from an injury. Highly recommend!

Love this pilates studio! I have been a long time client of Jeanne's and this location is amazing! It is clean, bright and I love the reformers that they have at this studio. I did Pilates a few years ago and was happy to see a studio open up in the neighborhood. I'm a breast cancer patient and am so happy that the team (Hi, Suzy!) has done research on the types of pilates movements that would be best for my body as I recover from oncoplasty and through chemo/radiation. She works with my body to help me do something other than lounge, nap and walk during my treatment. What a great team! I also feel like the COVID precautions are very good - we are both masked and the only people in the room during privates.

I had been attending pilates at a different studio that closed. After looking at multiple new studios, I finally decided to try out the Restore's new client promo package.

After my first session, I quickly signed up for weekly 1-1 sessions with Jeanne. She has a true gift for teaching pilates and I'm (selfishly) happy that I get to benefit from it. My body has never felt more connected, stable, and strong. I've also added on weekly classes with Ann-Marie. Her sequences and feedback make for an excellent class that is fun and flies by.
I have a history of abdominal and back surgeries and both instructors are keen listeners, give phenomenal feedback, and I always feel safe in their care. Thank you, thank you Jeanne & Ann-Marie.

Jeanne is an amazing and knowledgeable pilates instructor. She has been incredibly helpful and integral in getting my body prepare for child birth and currently she has been teaching me techniques to keep me comfortable during my pregnancy well into me prepping for labor. When I rest and recover after my daughter is born I'll definitely be working with her to get my body to snap back into shape.
