Rude manager! Horrible customer service. Cant get a word in when speaking to the manager. We are veterans(which is WHY we have active and fit) and we have never been treated so disrespectful just for trying to use a gym for 1 month. ! Zero stars!! Being called disgusting by the MANAGER being interrupted by the MANAGER, and then owner can't even call to rectify the situation but can reply to my review. Very professional!

If I could put no stars I would. Full time traveler who uses Active & Fit Direct to workout. Even though my wife and I were already approved through Active & Fit we were denied a membership. Apparently this location only accepts this type of membership if they will get paid for the next year as opposed to only one month. With knowledge from working in several gyms as a trainer i know how many times I would need to scan in order for the gym to get paid and once I told Kelly, the "manager" she got ugly and wouldn't allow me to speak. She could not simply email us a good time to come in and sign up because this location is never staffed. I don't appreciate the way we were treated by the manager. Sounds incompetent and has a really ugly attitude. It takes a special kind to work in customer service, if you can't do it then don't. Attaching a photo that shows two responses from Kelly stating they arent staffed when they should have been. The inside of this location may be clean and nice, but customer service goes a long way, and I will now travel 10 minutes further both ways just to workout because this location doesn't know how to manage a business.

Not thoroughly impressed. Equipment have not been maintained. All seem to be the same as it was 12 years ago when I was a member. Cushions on most of the machines and benches have tears and need attention. The shower and bathrooms need to be washed daily. Will get it a little longer, then may be heading to anytime fitness in Winnebago.

The gym is just ok. The showers are never cleaned. The same soap scum has been on the walls for a few months and the bathroom fan doesn't work so the room is moldy.

$35/mo is an outrageous price for what this gym is. The office hours posted online don't matter because no one will be there when they're supposed to be open. Only by appointment which is not what it says on the website. Unfortunately there really is nowhere else to go in Byron.
