My daughter just completed her first Trimester of Beginning Ballet and we could not be happier. The staff is top notch, from the teachers to the front office. The facility is clean and modern. It is clear that everyone takes pride in this studio and goes out of their way to make new students feel welcome. My daughter enjoys watching the Pointe class and it's served as a great motivator for her. Looking forward to many more years here!

We love ADA! The technique level that is instilled in the students is amazing. We love the teachers too, expecting high standards but nurturing also. We have been a part of ADA since 2017.

My 4 year old daughter absolutely ADORES The Academy of Dance Arts in Warrenville / Naperville! The connection and bond she’s formed with her teacher (Ms. Penny is AMAZING) and the staff warms my heart. She’s been studying ballet and tap but will be looking to explore the other styles they offer in the future (hip hop, jazz, contemporary, modern, etc.). Being new to ballet, I trusted the referrals of our close friends and the broader Naperville community. I’m thrilled we followed their guidance and chose this dance studio. I’ll be signing my son up as well. Thank you ADA for making our entrance into dance life so enjoyable!

Academy of Dance Arts was an incredible experience for my daughter. She just finished there in August and has been accepted as a trainee at a professional company.
Sherry, Irina, and Diana are amazing instructors who immediately recognized some bad habits which my daughter had learned over the years and had never been corrected at her previous studio in Chicago. Upon my daughter starting at ADA (due to not being able to commute to the city during covid), they quickly got to the root of problems which had been challenging her for years. They continued to fix the cracks in the foundation as well as challenge her in new ways, all in a manner that built her up. They believed in her, and that helped her to believe in herself. So much of succeeding in dance comes down to confidence, and that is what made the move to this studio exponential in her progress.
The studios are beautiful: large, bright, and clean. The cost is less than anywhere else she had been and it was so really easy to get to.
Academy of Dance Arts has a family/community feel and the staff is truly invested in my daughter's best interest even now that she is gone. Their expertise was invaluable but the staff's level of caring and investment was such a pleasant surprise and something which we have found to be a rarity.
Our daughter has been dancing for 16 years, and we have experience with four different dance studios, never has she grown as much as she has in these past 2 years at ADA.

The Academy of Dance Arts was a place I am lucky enough to call home for 7+ years. It is a place that gave me some of the best lifelong friends, and among my favorite memories, helping me develop into the person that I am today. The incredible, top-notch training program and supportive, loving environment was something I am profoundly thankful for and cherish very dearly. I am very grateful for the strong work ethic I learned, which was instrumental in contributing to my successful college dance and academic career. It also helped me to learn how to manage priorities in my daily life, which has transcended college and is also allowing me to thrive in my current professional career. Being able to have had such a healthy physical outlet, with an extra group of friends outside of school, benefitted me both physically and mentally. I feel extremely blessed to have learned from some of the most talented, dedicated dance teachers in the country, who genuinely care about me and with whom I still stay connected.
I am extremely proud and honored to say I danced and trained at the Academy of Dance Arts, and I want to strongly encourage other families and dancers to be a part of the amazing, supportive family that awaits inside their doors. Whether your goal is to take a few classes to enrich your life, or if you have college or professional aspirations, this is definitely a positive environment that will help you thrive.

Our experience at The Academy of Dance Arts has been life changing for our daughter! The teachers, under the direction of founder and artistic director, Sherry Moray, are superb and offer excellent instruction in a very positive and nurturing environment. From the day we stepped foot in the studio and met the staff and teachers, we knew this was the right place for our daughter to continue her training as a ballerina. ADA has a very welcoming atmosphere that promotes positive relationships with faculty, staff and other dancers. The focus in not only on ballet technique, but also on other disciplines within dance that help to create a well-rounded dancer. In addition, the training focuses on opportunities to compete in elite competitions that help advance dancers into their career. We believe this is the western suburbs premier dance studio with an excellent reputation on a national level.

Elitist and snobby.
I took my daughter here for a placement class. She loves ballet and had been taking it for five years prior to coming to the studio. During her trial, I noticed the instructor constantly yelling out corrections, without a single positive or encouraging word to the young girls. After my daughter’s trial class I received an email saying that there are “too many holes in her training to place her in a ballet class”. In other words, we don’t want her here. All the negative stereo types ballet suffers from rolled into one studio experience.

We found another studio after my daughter’s experience with Ms Lindsay, who would yell at these little girls who were trying their best to learn. It was unpleasant and unprofessional. I would not recommend this studio.

As an alumni of The Academy of Dance Arts, I can proudly credit my career and more to the wonderful instruction of Sherry and Irina. I specialized in ballet and pointe, but they also offer amazing classes in hip hop, jazz, contemporary, and more!
The ballet classes are nothing short of outstanding and truly help you prepare for a professional career. Their attention to detail is remarkable and I am forever grateful for this studio. They molded me from a student/dancer into a true artist and this is something that is completely unmatched to any other studio I have tried in the area. I recommend the Academy to everyone I know!
With Sherry and Irina’s help, I was a top finalist in the Youth America Grand Prix finals in New York City and was given multiple scholarships to European ballet schools. After finishing my ballet training in Europe, I was given a contract with Ballet Zurich in Switzerland. My story is not unique, many alumni have similar stories! My heart truly goes to the wonderful instruction, professionalism, and artistic development that this studio offers. I’m writing this review to pay it forward, and hopefully another young dancer will read this and try a class, as I did many years ago! Whether you are trying to become a professional ballerina, are more interested in jazz/contemporary/hip hop/tap, or just want to try dance for the first time, the Academy has something for you!

We have been at The Academy for 14 years. My daughter started in the early childhood program when she was 3 and my son followed shortly after. We have found our second family at the The Academy. The level of instruction and age appropriate choreography are unparalleled. We have been blessed with amazing instructors who care about each and every child guiding them to be the best dancers and people they can be. Both of my children participate in Ballet, Jazz, Tap and Hip Hop. Every year I am amazed at their growth both on stage and off.

This studio is the real deal. When my daughter's long-time dance studio closed unexpectedly two years ago, we worried she would never find another dance home. The faculty at the Academy of Dance Arts in Warrenville invited her in with open arms and took her seriously. She was initially attracted by the outstanding ballet and jazz/contemporary programs run by Sherry Moray and Ricky Ruiz. They focus on strong technique, artistry, and innovative but age-appropriate choreography--not just "tricks"--that make for steady growth and long, rewarding dance careers. We were delighted to find that the tap and hip hop programs are also top notch, full of energy and excitement. My daughter has improved tremendously in all four styles and loves her new dance home!

We started at ADA in the summer of 2020. Ms. Sherry and Ms. Irina are fantastic ballet teachers. The studio and facility are beautiful and top notch. We were looking for a conservatory level ballet training facility with excellent instruction and opportunities for performance. ADA has all of this. My daughter has four different ballet teachers during her weekly classes and all communicate with each other to provide the best possible ballet instruction. I also like that if you want to participate, there are competition teams for your child. The ballet teachers also care about your child beyond their ballet instruction.

I was a student and alliance member at ADA from 2008-2019. The studio really does create well-rounded dancers as they have great jazz, contemporary, modern, and ballet training. They also offer other styles involving tap and hip-hop. The studios at their new Warrenville location in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago are really great. The staff is so kind and the teachers are some of the best around. If you are looking for a new studio this is a great place to start.

Many of the Academy Ballet program dancers have gone on to receive full or partial dance scholarships at Major Dance Programs throughout the U.S. as well. Under Miss Moray's guidance and the Academy's Ballet Training Program, strong beautiful Contemporary/Modern Dancers are being produced. Due to their exceptional technical ballet foundation, Academy dancers have an edge which makes them sought after by Top College Dance Programs.
Graduated Academy Dancers have also worked on Broadway, with major professional Tap Companies, and cutting edge world class Modern and Contemporary Companies, utilizing their ballet training every step of the way.

Dance opportunities are available for your child in every genre and at every level! We are so thrilled to have discovered ADA 4 years ago. The staff is incredible; the choreography is sublime! This is a wonderful studio for any dancer to build technique, strength, endurance, as well as long lasting friendships.

We are very happy we found The Academy of Dance Arts and very thankful our children have had the opportunities to learn from such high caliber instructors. I recommend ADA to anyone I hear is looking for an excellent dance studio. Our children started attending ADA around the age of 10 because they wanted to be more serious about dance and ADA's emphasis on proper technique in all the dance genres and providing opportunities to perform/compete are very important to the studio. They have AMAZING instructors with very strong dance backgrounds (professionally with many accolades) and credentials. Individually, the coaches have won so many prestigious honors. The teachers coach the students as they do at professional studios/dance companies. ADA also has incredible facilities with six large studios. We have watched our children grow so much as dancers, compete at the highest levels across the country, gain confidence in their selves, and make great friends at ADA. The Academy of Dance Arts is a first-class dance studio.

My daughter has been dancing at ADA for the past two years and it has been such a wonderful experience for our entire family. Under the instruction of Sherry Moray and Ricky Ruiz (and the other highly trained ADA staff), she has grown leaps and bounds not only in her technique but also in her execution of movement. The entire teaching staff and studio were very welcoming upon our transition from our previous studio and it was apparent from the start that ADA is a very special place that encourages a love for dance, respect for others and a positive learning environment.

My daughter has been at ADA since she was 2 1/2 years old and she is now almost 11. Her love of dance has been so carefully cultivated by the amazing staff at ADA. I absolutely love watching the end-of-year recital, which is more of a Class-A production than a student recital. I am often times moved to tears by the passion and excellence that is brought to the stage each and every year. If you are looking for a studio that will foster the love of the art of dancing in a positive and constructive way, then look no further. ADA is a part of our lives that we wil cherish always.

I have been a student at the Academy for the past 7 years, and I can honestly say that I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. The floors, costumes, etc. provided are all top quality. The atmosphere is warm and friendly; the studio becomes a "home away from home" for many of our dancers. The faculty are tough, but everything they do is done with love. Sherry Moray, the founder and artistic director, was a prima ballerina of the Chicago Festival Ballet under Maria Tallchief--the woman knows what she's talking about! Her alumni have gone on to great success in companies in the US and in Europe. I am currently in the process of auditioning for well-known college dance programs and am being accepted. Thanks to Sherry and all the other teachers, I am confident in my training and ability to be successful in the dance world.
