The Bar Method Highland Park is a boutique fitness studio offering barre classes for students of all levels. The signature method uses your own body weight, the ballet barre and a few props to create a transformative workout that results in long, lean sculpted muscles. Not only does it reshape your entire body, but it allows you to channel your inner strength and leave class feeling strong, confident and poised. Highly-trained instructors customize the exercises to ensure they are safe and effective for any age and every body, including modifications for pregnant women and students with injuries. Our staff and community are here to support you from the moment you walk through the door.

Bar Method HP is a community within a community. It is a place that strengthens both body and mind. The workouts are challenging, effective, and led by talented instructors. The atmosphere is always welcoming and motivating, whether you’re a beginner or a longtime member. Pricing is fair, and the special events/challenges add an extra layer of fun and connection. If you're looking for a new workout or just bored of working out in your basement after Covid, this studio is for you. The classes are challenging yet achievable, and you are so engaged in your workout, the class is over before you know it. The instructors are all professional and attentive to every one in the room.
The owner Sarah has the most infectious smile and is so welcoming. She has created a community that is inviting to all. I'm thrilled to say I'm a part of it!

I love everything about this place. I have lived in many places, and finding a place to work out isn't easy. I look for a good workout and feeling comfortable and welcoming, is not easy. It all starts at the top. Sarah, the owner is so lovely and a great teacher. They all are great! The teachers make sure you have good form which is very important!

Love this place! I can't say enough great things - the owner is amazing, the instructors are amazing, the class is amazing! You get the idea ;) I joined about a month and half ago and am hooked. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. Plus, I can already see a difference in my body! What's not to love about all the above. :)

I was pretty nervous walking into my first class at The Bar Method, that was quickly changed because when you walk into the The Bar Method Highland Park you are quickly greeted by several smiling faces. It is truly a community here, all the way from the instructors to the wonderful people who participate in classes. I am literally so thankful that I was brave enough to walk in, because that is truly all it takes. Sarah, Stephanie, Chris, Jenna, and everyone else( sorry there's so many names!! ) are all amazing. Each class is different, and challenges you but has you leaving feeling better than before!

Can’t say enough good things about the instructors and this studio. Barre is an outstanding workout for strength, balance and flexibility, and the instructors here make sure you do everything correctly to maximize the body benefits while minimizing any potential for injury. (I’ve tried other weight-resistance workouts that have left me hurt due to muscle strain or overuse, which always brings me back to barre.) Everyone here is very positive, encouraging and kind, and they make the workouts a lot of fun. The best part of my day is at the end of the workout because I am physically spent but feel a huge sense of accomplishment.

I absolutely LOVE this barre studio! It’s hands down THE BEST!!! I have been doing barre classes for almost 14 years and have found The Bar Method to be absolutely superior to any other barre class. And the Highland Park studio is so warm + inviting - the community there is really really special and I think that’s because the owner Sarah Oates Keating is incredible and the instructors are all stellar. The Bar Method is such an amazing form of exercise for women especially- and perfect for anyone with back problems as the core strengthening and detailed attention to spine alignment, posture strengthening and form is a huge focus of this studio. Such a big, big fan!!!
