Don’t recommend coming to this dance studio if you’re looking for help creating choreography for a wedding dance. Was looking for help creating a fun father daughter upbeat dance for my wedding to a popular song and my dad and I ended up creating a majority of the dance ourselves. It was clear that Brittni was not a fan of my dad and would lose patience with him towards the end of our sessions, even though he’s not a professional dancer and just needed to take things slower.

To make things worse, we prepaid for 4 sessions and the last session, Brittni did not show up. We waited for 10 minutes after the scheduled start time and ended up leaving and requested a refund which she never gave us. She said we could reschedule the lesson but we were a week out from the wedding and I live in Chicago and made a special trip out to the suburbs for the lesson so at that point, I just wanted my money back for the lesson she didn’t show up for. After going back and forth a few times about even getting a partial refund, she just stopped responding and never resolved the issue.

My fiancé and I had came in for a consultation with Brittni, because we wanted our first dance to be more than just some swaying back and forth for a couple of minutes, and we are happy to say that we learned a great choreographed dance from Brittni! She truly is knowledgeable and was especially patient when we struggled to learn new portions of the dance, as well as wanting to change or tweak our dance. Our last dance lesson, we were doing our dance from start to finish, and someone waiting for her dance instructor had applauded because of how nice our dance looked. That was a great feeling, because we came in wanting to look like we know what we're doing for our first dance, and we surpassed that goal. So yes, we highly recommend this place!

I hosted my husband‘s 40th surprise birthday party at the Dance Lab, And it turned out fantastic! The venue itself is beautiful with its wood floor, chandeliers, 2/4 walls of windows, and full length mirrors. Another highlight was the floor to ceiling greenery wall that made a perfect background for our photo booth! We had about 40 guests, but the space could hold 80+. We were able to utilize the floor length curtains for the guests to hide behind, so my husband was especially surprised. The price was fair for the amount of hours that I needed, and Brittni the owner was able to give me recommendations for a wonderful caterer In the area. Brittni was above and beyond helpful! I’m very satisfied with my experience and would recommend this place!!

Brittany is an amazing instructor!! You will not be disappointed with her. She is detail oriented, extremely patient and works with you to nail the moves down. I worked with Brittany prior to my wedding as I wanted my first dance to be choreographed referencing a YouTube video. Brittany did an excellent job teaching my fiance and me the dance and being able to tweak it dependent what we were comfortable doing. To help us learn the moves she performed parts of the dance with my fiance and let me record so that we can practice at home. Honestly 10 /10 service and I HIGHLY recommend!!!

I can't say enough about Brittini she was incredible to work with, my husband and i got married in September and started our work earlier in the year we wanted our dance to be special both my of us were thinking oh this will just be teaching us a box step and thats it. We were dead wrong and I'm so glad that we were! I can't even describe how special and incredible our dance looked and felt! My wife and I took wedding first dance lessons with Brittini. One week before our wedding we decided we'd rather have something rehearsed than just the back and forth swaying (I know, very last minute change). She was SO nice and said she could help us. Brittini was extremely flexible with getting us scheduled in and we were able to do 4 lessons with her before the wedding (I was nervous we wouldn't be able to get anything in time but she squeezed us in no problem). I went into the first lesson thinking it would be learning how to do a few dips, spins, etc. Nope! She had gave us an entire choreographed dance that was perfect! She completely understood that we aren't dancers and gave us something that was simple, tasteful, and elegant. After our first lesson we already had 1/3 of the song memorized and practiced. What I really appreciated was how comfortable we felt with her and even if there was a dance move we didn't like or was too complicated she said "no problem, lets try this instead!". By the time our 2nd lesson had ended we essentially had it all completed (we just needed to practice at home a bunch to get the final touches right). I would highly recommend Brittini if you are looking for first dance lessons. She was patient, listened, and taught us so much in a very short amount of time. In addition, her prices were very reasonable and the cheapest in the area by far (we did a 5 dance package).
