Great place to workout and stay fit. Folks here are pleasant and polite. My wife and I have been Zone members since 2010 here in SJ. The owner is a fine man that we met in 2007 at a different Zone location and he continues to do a fine job here as well. Friendly staff over the years here.

Racism, I am latina. my son canceled our membership and we still have the rest of the month to use the installation, however they stopped and said that I am not allowed to with excuse that when the membership is canceled, I it is canceled, however my boy who is white did the same and the same person gave him a free Month in order to don't lose him as a customer. That is horrible discrimination.

For the 2 or so years I lifted here, I consistently had a great experience. Staff is helpful and friendly, the gym has a good environment and a lot of great patrons, and any billing issues were handled quickly and smoothly. I would recommend it to anyone.

Morning Staff is Awesome. But ownership is Horrific. A member came in he thought I was Gone when I only went to the Restroom we had words because I had a towel and my cellphone was sitting right there and I told the guy that I was still using the equipment and he said I had left when I only went to the Restroom Ownership Cancelled My Membership without hearing my side of the Story is That Fair. I was told Because of Seniority. Seriously

When the stay at home order started, they were unable to be reached by phone and when I messaged them on Facebook 2 months later (2 days after I was charged again) which they refused to refund not only the $60 but the $30 too and stated that they needed the money due to covid so they made the decision to not stop charging their customers the entire time they were closed. I called 3 times throughout the month and then left a voice message and then the next month found how I could get ahold of them and they just didn’t care. BUT WAIT.. why am I writing this now? Because I noticed all their brand new equipment and I’m just a little bit irritated by them.

Definitely the gym you should be supporting right now. The alternatives are simply not as good, by just about every objective measure.
I've had no problems with the staff. They are indeed professional, and very friendly. And whoever owns the place has obviously put a lot of work into it; I could tell by the renovations.
By the way, you can actually lift heavy weights here. A stark contrast I've noticed to some of the "gyms" in Urbana. Yes indeed. This is a REAL gym.

The Zone is a good gym. Convenient: open 24 hours. Machines: a great selection. Treadmills, ellipticals, bikes, stair machines, and a full selection of weight machines. They also have a great selection of free weights. The only thing they don't have much of is exercise classes.
