It is such a pleasure to go to Train Moment! I absolutely love every workout I do. I feel like I 100 percent worth of the money I spend because they truly create a new experience every time I go in! I sweat a lot and I can tell my body has improved! The trainers are all 10/10. They really go above and beyond to help you even in a class environment. It’s safe to say I will not be going anywhere else. Special shoutout to coach K, Ovi, Abbi (the sweetest) and Caleb! Beautiful facility on top of that. I did the 2 week promo special and it was well worth it. It helped me take a break from my usual weight lifting routine. The group classes are excellent. The coaches are attentive and motivating. They make certain that you are working out with proper form and function to prevent injury.
I look forward to going back it will help break up my boredom from my other gym routine, adding a couple of classes a week to my repertoire.

I’m very upset about my experience here. I booked a ClassPass event and arrived 8:54, but was denied entry because I had to be there 10-15mins before although the description said otherwise. I was told I’d have the fee waived but it was a lie, and was charged! Pretty ridiculous they could’ve just rescheduled me, especially since there was adequate time.

Been hittin' up Train Moment in the West Loop for a few months now, and it's been a game-changer. The coaches are top-notch. Truly love taking this class - the trainers are so fun and helpful, and the class kicks my butt. They do a great job of switching up the exercises so it's never boring, and hitting all different muscle groups. I love that it has a large strength training focus balanced with a good mix of cardio. I’m obsessed. As a former college athlete, I appreciate a well thought out workout program. I didn’t have trouble staying consistent in the gym prior to joining Train Moment, but the coaches and vibe here made me realize I was not pushing myself to my potential when I was working out alone.
Shoutout to Coach K and Xander in particular. They both have a firm but kind coaching approach that motivates me. The other coaches are all so friendly and professional, too.

Gonna try and keep it short and sweet for y’all to say that TM is all that and a bag of chips. (perhaps replace the chips with something to compliment the gains you’ll be making at TM lol). Point blank. As I’ve come to my 1 year anniversary of attending TM and as a recent solidified member, I’ve concluded that TM is where I stopped looking further for a genuinely organic personal- training approach in a group setting. After trying countless of the commonly known studios like Barry’s, CrossTown, OrangeTheory, StudioThree, etc, Train Moment is where I am considered as more than just a member. You will feel like family. The communal presence is there as opposed to feeling like another money grab as it feels attending your typical large franchise studios. The training experience is organic, and the cherry on top is being remembered on a first- name basis. As someone who doesn’t have a common name as well as one that can be relatively “tricky” to pronounce, it adds to the human experience to be recognized as yourself in spaces you know coaches see hundreds of people! The coaches approach you to fix your form and encourage you to challenge yourself in ways that build your confidence such as sliding a heavier set of weights next to you. Train Moment is a staple I have to bring up whenever I talk to people about being from Chicago. ♥️
Still in attempt to keep this short and sweet, I can’t forget to recognize Coach Ovi for setting a good precedent for my first experience at TM when I first tried out TM at the LP location. Ovi’s coaching style is a perfect balance of authority, gentle, and organic coaching that allows you to challenge yourself while being comfortable being coached (still trying to challenge myself to go a sesh w/o having to fix my form lol). You can’t forget to appreciate the confidence booster you get getting heavier sets of weights placed next to you by Ovi during a sesh.
Another coach to appreciate is Coach K! As a woman, there’s something amazing about being coached by a woman because our bodies don’t operate the same as men’s, and Coach K is the perfect balance of motherly spirit and the hype woman to push you beyond gender norms. Attending her sessions full of her confidence and energy will fuel you with just the same confidence and energy. Coach K is THE BOSS. Simply put.
From the good playlists to the amazing coaches to the communal events Train Moment hosts for the community and between studios, Train Moment is a gem in a world of large franchise studios.

It was my first time and we showed up when it was 2 minute from starting (would highly not recommend doing this. GET THERE EARLY!) They were super kind and helpful. They gave us a speed run down and were always right there to help through out the class. Sarah was the lead and did amazing! I've been hitting Train Moment for a few months now and just passed my 100th class, and it's been awesome! All the trainers—Megan, Kelita, Irma, Benjamin, Xander, and Sarah—are always on point. Super friendly, professional, and always keeping you accountable (shoutout to Xander and Kelita for making sure I focus on quality over quantity!). As a runner, I the Climber is a great alternative for a HIIT session. Plus, Train Moment added recent barbells to the workouts and that has leveled up my squats and deadlifts.

My wife and I love Train Moment! Strength forward smaller classes so the trainers get to have a more personalized interaction. Coach K, Xander, Kylie, Ben, Raina, Irma, Sarah, all the coaches are incredible.
Most classes are active work for 30 mins after a 10 min warm up and demo, with the exception of Mondays and Wednesdays. Which are 40 min active. It's an efficient and amazing workout!

Love Flex Fridays at Train Moment with coach Raina! Such a good way to start the last day of the week, the workout and her coaching really gives me energy for the day. I’ve also noticed that in the last year of training with coach Raina, I am getting stronger and feeling better about my body. The Train Moment format really works for me, helps me stay consistent and keeps me motivated.
Xander is another of my favorite coaches! I don’t get to go to as many sessions with him as I’d like but every time I see one I am able to sign up for that he is coaching I do. He is super positive and encouraging, and great at checking on -and correcting your form.
I recently started also going to Tuesday’s conditioning with coach Kylie which is also great, it’s a good complement for my running and helps me stay fit during the winter when running outside is harder.
The ambience at TM is great, everyone is super friendly and very welcoming even for beginners, when I started I had never done any kind of strength training before and the coaches were great in correcting my form and teaching me how to get better without making me feel less for being new.

I've been a member at Train Moment for over a year now, and have loved my experience ever since the beginning. I've been a part of many gyms over the years and am a group fitness instructor myself, and I've never experienced a community quite like the community at TM. All of the coaches knew me by first name right away, and continue to cultivate a warm, welcoming environment. In addition, my form and knowledge have improved so much since coming to TM! It's refreshing to build strength in a class setting from professionals who are extremely knowledgable on programming. I switch between LP and WL, but am mostly in WL and love Coach K! She will push you with the tough love you need to hear, while correcting form and encouraging you along the way. Truly the type of woman that makes you want to be better and grow stronger simply by being around her. I'm so inspired by this community and feel so blessed to be a part!

I am OBSESSED with TM!! I have been going here for about two months now ever since I moved to Chicago, and it is the best part of my day. The coaches are extremely welcoming and super helpful throughout the session. It's so cool how they know everyone by name! I started going to TM when it first opened in 2019. I was never a big fan of classes but this is more like a session led by a coach. I love the structure and the combo of heavy weights, mobility, and cardio. Every day the workouts are different and it keeps my body guessing. Also the Versa Climber is so challenging with no impact on my joints. The coaches are amazing too, my girl Kiley dominates and motivates every morning with a big smile and great attitude (def take her class). 💪💯

Please be mindful of the gym's frequently changing arrival policies, which have been updated several times over the past six months. Initially, arrivals were not permitted beyond five minutes past the scheduled time; the current policy prohibits entry after the exact time, even in cases such as 5:32 a.m. the day before Christmas Eve.
It's unclear why this gym has adopted such a strict stance, but their approach comes across unnecessarily rigid - do better.

I’m so glad I found Train Moment! I’d been exploring alternative options to the traditional corporate gym and happened to stumble across Train Moment via Instagram and through a good friend.
I really appreciate the intentionality behind each session and how knowledgeable the coaches are. As someone who played competitive sports, I truly value how each coach challenges us to step outside of our comfort zones while ensuring our form is correct.

This place is great if you love boot camp style workouts. All the trainers are incredibly nice and helpful during the workouts. Some of have different styles of motivation and you just have to find the ones that work best for you. The scheduled times are great and there was always a spot open in the classes I wanted if I scheduled ~2 days ahead.
I did the 2 week trial but at the end I was looking for something that is more than 30 minutes of movement for $$$. I’m a fan of Barry’s boot camp where they keep you moving for >45 min + for the price point.

I have tried every local and chain group fitness class in Chicago and this is by far one of the best for strength training in the city. Intentionally thought out programing (no gimmicky workouts just to get you tired / break a sweat), a quality warm up, detailed explanation of exercises before the workout start, constant form corrections by the trainers that make you feel like you're getting your moneys worth, clean facilities, diverse students and trainers, the list goes on. I have been slacking on my strength training and cardio and am happy to have this place to get back into it! Definitely try it out if you are new to working out, they will get you right!

My favorite work out place, I have joined many other work out facilities in the past and have only stayed at each for less than a year because I become disinterested and felt like it didn’t do much for my body anymore. TM is different, I’ve been here for almost a year and half and still enjoy it. Having great coaches helps a ton, they really do make a difference. Definitely consider trying out a class at Train Moment if you haven't yet, I promise it's worth it! This place has quickly become the best part of my day. I started with a 2-week trial a year ago and now I’m nearly 200 classes in and I’ve loved every single one of them.
The atmosphere is incredibly welcoming, and the coaches are not only motivating and encouraging but also excellent at equipping us with the confidence and drive to consistently push our limits through every class. I cannot explain how amazing TM is! It is my home away from home and much more than just a high intensity workout class, it is a community! I am the strongest I have ever been. This is the longest I've stuck with any gym before. The classes are now part of my morning routine, but if I ever have to miss, I always make sure to go in the evening, because a TM workout is a daily habit. Unlike other gyms, they've built accountability and progress tracking into the workouts, with a real focus on building strength. This review is incredibly overdue. I’ve been going to Train Moment for about 3 years now and have taken 145 classes. This is my favorite gym in the city. The trainers are absolutely phenomenal. The trainers whose class I’ve taken the most are Hakeem, Ovi, Sarah, Chalena, and most recently Benjamin (I think I’ve taken Benjamin’s class maybe 5 times in the last year and started taking his class again last week and he remembered my name!!). In fact, all the trainers really make an effort to learn your name. It makes me feel like I’m not just a number here and I’m getting “one on one” coaching. Coach K, Miles, and Cecily are typically working the front desk during my usual workout time but all 3 of them are so nice and welcoming!! I’ve heard nothing but amazing things about each of their classes. You really can’t go wrong with any of the trainers here. Hakeem, Ovi, and Benjamin do a fantastic job at correcting form and giving you encouragement throughout the class. My day starts at 5am and ends at 6pm just in time to take the 6:30pm class. Even after a long day at work, I can’t help but be motivated by their passion and energy. It’s truly contagious!!

I want to start this review by saying that I am not a person who works out regularly and if I do, I stick to cardio since everything else is intimidating. I live nearby and decided to push myself out of my comfort zone and check it out. I had never taken a group class before, so I went in feeling very nervous. The moment I walked in, everyone was so nice and welcoming! I took the Drop Set class with Sarah and she was awesome! She explained everything so well. I had a moment on the versa climber where I felt lightheaded so I got off and she made sure I was ok. I will definitely be signing up for a membership here and hope to get stronger each week!

I love TRAIN MOMENT. I wish I found it sooner. From the organization, cleanliness, "curriculum", and coaches, I feel that the immense value is absolutely worth the price. From their website they state to bring a "personal trainer" feeling to a group setting, and they have thoroughly mastered this.
I love that the coaches remember my name, shouted me out on my birthday during class, continue to provide informative and clear instructions, and teach me when my form is incorrect. I absolutely and wholeheartedly recommend everyone to try TRAIN MOMENT!

This is the best group fitness experience I’ve ever had, after having tried many other spots like Orange Theory, Barry’s, Soul, Title, and other local boutique spots. I started coming to Train Moment ~2 years ago (following one of my favorite coaches/people, Cecily to her new gym) and can honestly say it was one of the best decisions I've made in my adult life. I've never felt stronger, both physically and mentally, and I owe that to the amazing coaches who have continuously pushed and supported me, and to my fellow members who have become true friends of mine, both inside and outside of the gym.

Let me preface this review with the fact that I have LOATHED virtually every group fitness class I've tried. My wife dragged me to Train Moment and I was 100% going to meander my way through the 2-week trial and never step foot in the building again.
Then I tried it.
Train Moment's workouts are engaging, challenging, and strength-focused - and that climber... Words can't describe the climber, you need to experience it for yourself (you'll be glad you did, although maybe not right after you get done with a 60-second all-out sprint).
The workout formats kept me coming back on a limited basis as I tried to balance Train Moment with other activities, but what really sets this place apart and got me fully bought-in is the community. The coaches are all phenomenal and want to push you in a constructive way and help you succeed, and all of the other members are legitimately awesome people that you'd want to share a drink (or bowl of pasta to carbo-load) with outside of the gym.
Before Train Moment, I used to get called nicknames like "Lil' Guy" or "Outta Shape Matt" - but now everyone calls me "Big Diesel" and that's all thanks to Train Moment!

I am not much of a reviewer but I have been meaning to leave a review for this place because it is just so great. Let me tell you, this fitness space is amazing— it is so inviting and welcoming. The entire train moment team is so friendly and kind. They seem to have a high standard of cleanliness as you can see them mop the space after every class. The workout: i love it because although there is cardio, too, it is a more strength training-focused and i just love that because i am honestly sometimes so lazy to create my own workout plan. Coaches will come by and assist client’s form which is super important. They are very knowledgeable and gaddamn hellla fit too, which is intimidating and motivating at the same timez. And i mean Intimidating in a good way because damn you better get that last rep in, ha!

Intense, effective and fun! They offer a wide variety of times to accommodate work schedules and the facilities are great. Due to COVID there are limitations on what can be used in the locker rooms but everything is super clean. Taken classes with four of the instructors and they’ve all been knowledgeable and encouraging. Noticing a definite increase in my endurance and strength from these workouts. I leave every class feeling like I did something good for myself and recommend this facility to those looking for an innovative and effective workout.

I recently moved back to Chicago from NYC and was looking for a new class that I felt comfortable taking and also had nice people that participated in them. I really enjoy working out at Train Moment. One thing that really impressed me out the gate was how welcoming the staff is. It felt really good to be welcomed into the space by friendly individuals. Overall I believe the coaches are amazing - they all are passionate and you can tell they care. Classes typically intimidate me and make me feel uncomfortable but I have not had that experience at TM which is probably why I love it so much. The classes give me variety, challenges me, motivates me and holds me accountable - also the playlists are top notch! Very clean and modern facility. I truly enjoy my time spent at Train Moment, I've done a little over 20 classes so far and I plan to continue.

I LOVE these workouts. Each session is perfectly paced, you feel the pump from strength-forward programming, and the versa climber pushes you to the brink every time! This programming is an ideal balance of high intensity intervals that don’t make your joints scream at the end.

The best workout in the city! The Versa climber is my new love hate cardio burn. It’s truly unlike any other workout. You go from Versa climber to the rig to bench work and get a full body burn, I always can burn 400-500 calories here and that’s a great way to start the day.

I went to Train Moment for the first time last night and had the best experience!! From the moment you walk in the staff was so friendly and inviting and made us feel like they were genuinely so excited for us to be there. The space is designed so beautifully, we were amazed at all the small details that they provided which made the experience that much more enjoyable. As far as the workout - best workout I’ve had in a while! The class was really challenging but you feel empowered to get through it by the way you are pushed and encouraged by the trainer! I’m so excited to take another class and continued to be pushed to the next level physically! Thanks Train Moment!

This place is the real deal! Great strength moves (which you primarily focus on) accompanied by true BURSTS of some of the hardest cardio you'll find out there. A perfect combo. I love that they take the time to explain the workout to newbies before class as well.

Incredible strength-driven workout with a killer cardio push on Versaclimbers. The perfect ratio of strength (2/3) to cardio. All instructors make you feel strong and encourage you to try out a new weight or go the extra distance on the Versa. Also, love that they have weights in 2.5lb increments vs. 5lbs

Came with my sister today for my first class. Sarah taught a high energy class and reminded us at the beginning that this is a strength forward class. Net net ... pick challenging weights you can do for 8 - 10 reps each set. Build strength in the class and carry that strength into your day to day life.

The only group training I’m obsessed with! Love that the classes are STRENGTH FORWARD workouts. Starting out with their modified movements, I can do full pull-ups now! The versa climbers are enough to add some needed cardio in my life and get me sweating!
The space is beautiful, the owners are so welcoming, and I think I’m in love with their coaches. They’re concise when explaining every movement, attentive, motivating, and I always walk out feeling 300x better than I came in! Most productive 50 min of my day!

Big fan of this place! Normally more of a weight lifting guy but have been doing fitness classes because:
1. morning workouts work best with my schedule and
2. I can't get myself going fast enough with free weights in the morning
Had been settling for cardio focused classes (cycling, etc.), so extremely excited to have found a "strength-forward" class (while still gaining all the benefits of a solid cardio workout)! Great workout, great space, great energy, and great crew. This place is going to blow up, now all I need to do is find a way to get some equity...

Great Strength and conditioning workout. Each workout is unique but the general jist is, they use the versa climber to get your cardio in via multiple sets of sprints varying in time, amount, etc. Versa climber is low impact ( knee saver) but high intensity to get that breathless feel. Then there is a strength component with several movements per station. The workout is as tough as you want/need it to be offering something from both beginner to advanced. The coaches demonstrate all the moves and also offer modifications that you can do if you can't do the main move, say pull-ups, or just prefer an alternative to that move that works the same muscle groups/areas. Workouts like these tend to scare people newer to fitness but in reality, the quality coaching can work for anyone. I found the amount of weights to be awesome, didn't have to worry about not getting my preference and the coaching to be top notch, clear and motivating. LOVED the monitors that list all the movements the coaches walk through, i tend to zone out and this was a great place to remind me of what I was supposed to do, although the coaches were extremely attentive and will also answer questions. I loved the music, i was able to really zone out in the space and push hard. I left this workout feeling exhausted, sore and very accomplished. The facilities are clean and modern and the staff is extremely friendly. I would definitely recommend the experience to anyone.
