My boys came from a Taekwondo school where they had lost all motivation. Switching to TVMA Academy was the best decision we could have made. Master Ford helped them regain their confidence and their love for Taekwondo.
Master Ford and all of the instructors do an amazing job focusing on each student and teaching step by step. Beyond the physical skills, he teaches valuable life lessons that will serve the students well in the real world. It’s clear that Taekwondo is not just a job for Master Ford—it’s his passion

This TaeWonDoe place is awesome. Not only is this welcoming to new people because of the great community but this place also fosters the tradition aspect of the martial art. TVMA really help me to build discipline and break out of shell helping me meet new people.

My son has been attending Taekwondo classes for some time now. While he initially struggled to enjoy it, largely due to his own pickiness - everything changed when Master Eric took over. Since then, he has been genuinely engaged and enthusiastic about each class.

Master Eric leads by example and carries himself with humility and authenticity. One of the things I admire most is how he begins every class by inviting the kids to share something about their day, not just as a routine, but with sincere interest. He listens, engages, and builds a connection with each student. This thoughtful approach has become a highlight for my son and me; we now prepare a topic together before each class, and it’s become a moment we both look forward to.

What truly sets Master Eric apart is his calm and patient teaching style. He takes his time with each step, ensuring the kids fully understand and feel confident before moving on. There is no rushing, no pressure - just focused, steady guidance. That makes a world of difference for children like mine, who thrive with that kind of support.

Beyond his skill in teaching Taekwondo, Master Eric brings a wholehearted and passionate approach that feels rooted in purpose - not just business. He instills discipline, respect, and curiosity in a way that’s both inspiring and meaningful. I am confident that my son is not only learning martial arts but also life lessons that will stay with him well into the future.

As a parent, I have also found myself learning alongside my son. The philosophical insights and values that Master Eric integrates into every session are a gift - not just for the children, but for the entire family. We always look forward to our next class with Master Eric.

When choosing a martial arts studio, I believe you should focus on the school's Master. Their philosophies are carried through their instructors and are reflected in all levels of the education. Master Eric has been in martial arts for 20+ years. He is also a former student and instructor under Grand Master Tae En Ha. I have trained under him for some time. He focuses on developing one's mind, body, spirit. He believes the gym is a safe environment to learn, develop, and (yes) make mistakes (to learn from). He fosters the philosophy of having students treat the gym as a community. A community where we all help each other to grow and develop both physically, mentally, and emotionally. He genuinely cares about the students and their growth as they progress through their training. Personally, I wouldn't look at any other school.
