This gym doesn’t meet expectations. To top it all off; whoever runs the account that replies to all of these reviews refuses/struggles to accept blame (as seen in all of the replies) I don’t know how they expect to have any good change if it’s always just someone’s “opinion” that they have issues that need to be fixed

My 5 year old son really enjoyed his experience at Summer Camp and is looking forward to continuing with the classes this summer!

Ownership, class sponsors and assistants were all very positive and helpful in getting him acclimated to the camp and making sure he stayed involved and most importantly had fun.

The gym portion itself isn’t much, not like other gyms, but it gets the minimum job done if you know enough about lifting to make it work. This doesn’t matter too much tho cuz they are a MMA gym and that part they do well. They have matted floors for grappling, a small basketball court, lots of bags, and a boxing ring, which is good but my issue is with personnel there. Not all of them are bad it’s pretty much just the general manager and a few employees that give misinformation. The general manager BeeJay is rude, I reminder I went one day to check it out with my friend who is on the “shyer” side so I took it upon myself to ask the questions relating to what the gym offers, how payment works, what memberships they have and such. The conversation was fine until I started asking a lot of questions about deals/how payment would work and BeeJay became noticeably my more agitated with my several questions. I know it might be frustrating but it is YOUR job as an employee let alone a GENERAL MANAGER to try and sell your product to me. Yeah I didn’t understand some of the things regarding bringing guests that’s why I was asking about it so why was it so difficult to just give me the information so I’d better understand. This was the first time meeting him and he did not leave a good impression. Fast forward I sign up for the gym but realize I can’t make the commute consistently (the drive is an hour going both ways) so after a month i decided to cancel my membership. I decided to go in person because I know some gyms don’t allow you to do it online and the employee there tells me that he doesn’t have the “clearance” and that I need to come on a day that the general manager is in (this is important) which is fine I guess. I was a little bummed I had to interact with BeeJay at all because of the first impression he had initially left but we’re all adults so I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt here. I drive another hour on a Monday which is when I was told BeeJay would be there and he was. I told him I wanted to cancel my membership and he tried to convince me to keep it, which is pretty routine for any gym, but after insisting I can’t keep the membership he tells me to take his card and email him??? Confused, i asked if I could’ve done this online and he told me that I just have to email them my name/reason for canceling and they’d do it for me. So this leaves me wondering why the employee didn’t just give me BeeJays card to begin with, why he told me to come in person to speak with BeeJay if all I had to do was email him in the first place. Another issue I have with this is if I went in person and was speaking with BeeJay, the person I was emailing, why couldn’t he cancel my membership right then and there? I doubt it takes more than 5 minutes. Most other gyms do it right then and there so I feel like he just couldn’t be bothered. I emailed him immediately after returning to my car around 5:00pm (they close at 9) stating my name, number, and reason for canceling. I received no reply until the next day at around 9 am. There was some emailing back and fourth and every time he took several hours to get back to me about the fee to cancel. After I had emailed saying the payment should go through and whatnot I received no email back letting me know if things are all good now or what. I’m assuming that gym is in the past for good (I hope) but overall very unprofessional experience on my end by the person running the place. I tried being respectful and ignore whatever bad impressions I was getting but it was just very unnecessarily tedious dealing with this guy. I’m sure everyone else is great and the gym itself is pretty okay so it’s just unfortunate that he’s the sole reason I’m leaving this 1 star review.

Worse place ever, be aware of hidden charges. Even if you cancel they will still charge you ahead, I guess they need to make money stealing from others since they cant keep clients. Update, after going back and forward we came up with a resolution.

I've been a member at the Orland Park UFC Gym for over 5 years. I always found the entire staff to be very welcoming, kind, and authentic people. Additionally, the trainers and overall community were always excellent about going out of
their way to help various members in an individualized way. Whenever I tried something new it was always made accessible, and if I ever wanted to find a challenge I could find that as well. Even when I just want to do regular exercise or weight training, I prefer to do it here partly because of the facilities, but also because of the ambience. Doing the exact same workout here is just better. The environment is energizing and motivating, in large part due to that fact that many of the members genuinely love fitness and working out.

Lastly, the community is excellent and always has been. People tend to check up on the lives of one another, and it never feels fake or forced. It's very common to see staff and members make significant leaps in their physical health and personal lives in pretty quick time frames, and I think that the gym environment majorly contributes to that.

I've watched this gym have a positive impact on the lives of many people, including my own. I can't recommend it enough.

Absolutely the WORST MMA or boxing gym I have ever been to. I went to a free class to feel out the gym then returned finally a few months later to sign up after looking at some other gyms around my area. I specifically was told I would have a month to month but after I signed up they back charged me from the very first time I visited their gym even though I was never a member back then. No other gym I have ever been to has done something so scummy and egregious.
To top it off they offered me sessions with a personal trainer but when I went to my first session the trainer was DRINKING ALCOHOL while holding my pads??? This is definitely not the place to be if you're serious about your training. This is closer to a high priced YMCA than a real MMA gym.

I gave it a four because their is a lack of some machines that can really upgrade the gym. For example like a squat rack and other stuff. But other than that the gym has a great atmosphere and good classes.

I been going to the UFC gym at Orland Park for more than a year now, and to be honest I couldn’t ask for a better gym, they have all equipment, wresting Matt, basketball court, new weights, and boxing heavy bags and there’s a lot of space in that gym, all coaches are great, they motivate us to work harder, also my guy Angelo on the entrance desk, I respect this man so much because for more than a year I been going to this gym, an he is always smiling and giving out positive energy, so if your reading this and thinking to join, don’t hesitate my guy, it will change your habits and life.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I reached out ONE time about being interested in joining and taking a look at the gym. I looked at reviews and decided I was no longer interested. Numerous trainers have been still texting me to this day (5 months later) and I get numerous automated texts and emails from this company, regardless of if I keep replying with 'STOP' as instructed by the text or unsubscribing from the emails. No matter how many numbers I block, I continuously receive texts! Leave me alone! I now most definitely do NOT want to join this gym. Don't make the same mistake I did and even show remote interest or you will not be left alone for the next 6 months (at least, if not more).

This place is my second home, and the team is family. The welcoming nature of the staff and energy of the gym are superior to anywhere we're ever been. I’ve had a couple membership other places but nothing will ever compare to the UFC GYM!!! I can't say enough good things about this gym. I have took all the classes they offer and over the pass 2 year I can honestly I’ve NEVER once had a bad class or experience here.

This gym is always clean. The people who work there are so helpful and polite. Super excited that they are expanding and now offering more. Together we move up!! ❤️❤️❤️

UFC GYM has very intense and focused workouts/training sessions. All coaches do well on explaining techniques/strategies on cardio strength and fighting styles. Very diverse and expert cast of crew members run the show&training programs. I'm an on and off member here too. I should sign back up again.

If I could assign a negative number of stars, I would. I purchased MMA personal training sessions at the Orland Park, IL location for my 12 year old daughter which were utilized for over one year. My daughter specifically requested a female trainer, which was accommodated.

There were freqequent cancellations, limited availability and there is no central scheduling platform — one is at the mercy of a barrage of texting with the individual trainer/coach.

As the purchased package was nearing completion, I purchased an additional training package for $1,650.00, again noting my daughter’s interest in continuing with the same female trainer/coach.

One week later I was informed that the trainer/coach was no longer available to work with private clients due to a “management promotion.”

After 2 months of calls, VMs, PMs still no resolution. After going in-person to the location another trainer/coach was finally scheduled. The new trainer/coach cancelled less than 2 hours before the scheduled session via text.

I went on-site to the facility the evening of the new trainer/coach cancelling to request a reimbursement of the package purchased. The salesperson & manager stated it was “not their policy to provide reimbursement,” but they would check with a “district manager”.

Engage with caution. Do not have high expectations for customer service or standard, traditional business etiquette.

I explained to them through e-mails and in person that I can only train for 3 months because im going away to college. I have an e-mail by Mike Morsi that states he will just have me on a monthly since im going away to school. I go inside to sign-up and explain to the guy at the counter i can only train for a couple of months because im going away to college. The guy at the counter said he can set me up for a monthly membership and told me to make sure i give him a 45 days notice before i leave, so that he can stop or freeze payments. Long story short, I gave a 45 days notice and Mike Morsi not only ended my membership the same day but he charged me a $50 fee for breaking a yearly contract. First, this is suppose to be a professional business and they do not have a number to call down to that gym. Second, I sent him an e-mail and a few days later he responded stating he has me in the system as a yearly contract. Keep in mind, i never signed up with Mike Morsi, so I decided to go to the gym in person and speak to the person i signed up with. I have a Galaxy S6 which has a clear recording mic, so before i got out of the car I begin recording on my cell. I stated my name and the date and that im about to go inside of this gym and discuss the $50 I was charged. I did this for legal purposes. Long story short, I have the guy voice who signed me up stating i should not be charged $50 because im monthly and not yearly. It also recorded Mike who over heard our conversation and intervene, stating that the system is down and as soon as it's up he will log in my account and refund me my $50. Three weeks later, this guy hasn't refunded anything, he lied. I knew he was lying when he had that stupid smirk on his face while he was saying this to me. I sent e-mails and he never responded anymore. I read the negative feedback on this gym about their mishandling of money on Google but I didnt think I would be a victim of this. As far as the gym, the walls are filthy and dirty. The mats where the bags hang were always dirty and i stop taking off my shoes because there were always little rocks on the mat from pieces falling off from the ceiling, stepping on little rocks don't feel good at all. This shows they do not sweep and clean the mats before every class. If mats aren't disinfectant regularly, bacteria will grow and from there you can get things like the pink-eye and strip-throat. They have no disinfect near their weight bench or threadmill, or anywhere in the gym. So after a person works out and sweat all over the equipment, it just air-dry and nothing around to disinfect or wipe it off as gyms such as planet fitness have ready for its customers. The only good thing about this gym is the kickboxing instructor name Derrick. He a great instructor and they do not deserve him. Join at your own risk be careful of your agreements and what you sign because Mike is a thief and out to squeeze you for any dime he can.

If you are looking for a proper mma gym, this is the last place anyone should try. The classes are almost as awful as the trainers. I learned more valuable techniques at my previous gym in 2 days than an entire year at UFC gym. Sad but true. This place is concerned solely with bringing in new members opposed to the quality of their trainers/classes. If anyone actually rates this place positively, they must be retarded! Don't waste your money here! You've been warned

Unfortunately, I am highly disappointed with this gym. I was excited to learn new techniques because when I was sold on the personal training I was ensured about the quality of the gym, training, and staff. I signed up for personal training (boxing) and the trainer constantly kept cancelling on me for various reasons. Then, I showed up to the gym ready for my first training session and the gym informed me that the trainer no longer worked there (with no phone call or email to inform me). After that, I let the sales person talk me into going with a different trainer. Well, again after three days that trainer never contacted me as well. I called the gym to ask for my money back, and I was informed that they do not do refunds on personal training but I could transfer it to someone else. Why would I transfer it to someone else to give them a headache?

So, basically I just gave the gym my hard earned money for something that I didn't even receive after two weeks. Yet, was told they could not refund me for them constantly cancelling on me. I will stick with Title Boxing Club where I receive what I was guaranteed. I had much higher hopes with this gym due to the "UFC" title.

My advice: stop pitching the sales speech to everyone and just admit when you don't have a handle on things that you are offering to your members. If you can't deliver what is guaranteed, stop taking people's money.
