I recently came for a birthday party at Ultimate Ninjas and I was very impressed! I was greeted with a smile and had staff interacting with my kids as soon as we walked in the door. This place is very well managed, with staff who are attentive, friendly, and hands-on with the kids. I was shocked at how clean the gym was and was impressed to see staff wiping tables and resetting courses between parties! The manager on duty, as well as the staff took care of absolutely everything from setting up the party room to cutting cake and handing out pizza. I would 100% recommend this place to anyone looking for an affordable birthday party where everything is done for you while you get to relax and watch your kids play. We will definitely be back!!

So the site lists "open play" and has no hours or limitations. I drove half an hour with 2 kids who really wanted to check this place out, only to be told they were closed for private events and only have open play 1 hour a day on Saturday and Sunday.

List your real hours of walk in play on your website. Don't waste your time coming here unless your part of an overpriced kids bday party.

My three year old son attended the Little Ninja class on Sunday mornings from February to June. He loved it, and we plan on returning in the fall. His confidence and abilities grew tremendously throughout the last few months. The staff is supportive and friendly. We love this facility and their staff! We’ve had my 6 yo in classes for the last couple of years and cannot say enough nice things about the coaches and management. We’ve done different levels of classes and camps and my kiddos always have fun and come home tired ;-) They have been super supportive and helpful when we needed to switch classes and even let my youngest try out lil’ ninja classes to see how he did with the structure before we committed. It’s very fairly priced and all of the coaches are very patient and attentive My oldest sincerely looks forward to class every week and we are so happy to see how much confidence he has gained in the obstacles. 10/10 recommend checking it out !

This gym is like no other, the equipment is in great condition and well kept up. Everytime I go to Ninja I always feel like i can let my inner child out and just have a great time. But ultimately the gym is one thing but the staff is another. The staff make you feel as though you are safe and at home. My favorite worker is the Assistant manager her name is Ari. Everytime I come in she is welcoming with a warm smile and is never hesitant to help out or even teach me a thing or two. I truly feel there is no other location that you can get an experience as explained.
My advice to anyone looking to be active while having a good time or specifically work on my calisthenic strength and skills, this is the place to go. Definitely recommend checking out this gym if you’re looking to enjoy your exercise experience.

I took my daughter to the Ninja Camp at Ultimate Ninjas, and she had an absolute blast! The staff were super friendly and made her feel welcome right away. This place has gone downhill since the new manager came. Last summer fall we came several times a week. The manager was awesome and ran this place like it was a real gym. This place now is ran like a playground. The new manager decided to be on the floor ONLY for pictures and video of my child. I should have to pay! Meanwhile I just paid $50 for my children to come and work out. The workers are teens who sit back and laugh at the participants, talk about them behind their back on the course, and are not helpful. The only helpful kind teen left is Boiles. He is still the same and super helpful! Love that he hasn’t changed.
We use to love this place but now we won’t be back. We will no longer drive 1.5hrs we will go to one of the other gyms!

Update: since he reached out I shared my views and he asked me to remove my review! I told him I would when I saw that they addressed the issue. He then told me that it is best if we do not come back! All because I refused to remove my review!

Amazing for kids of any age, and fantastic for adults too!

For kids - it's a no brainer - a true "American Ninja Warrior" (ANW) style obstacle course. They love it. They have weekly classes, parties, and even camps. It's a great way for your kids to stay active, get away from screens, and have fun, all at the same time.

For adults - awesome too! I can't believe this place isn't 20x more crowded than it is, I think it's just because people don't know about it.

I was bringing my daughter here for the kids thing and saw some adults working out each week, and I got curious, so I asked about it, and I'm glad I did.

"Ultifit" as they call their adult class, is an amazing workout for adults!

There are two options, first is just straight circuit training like you'd find in similar circuit training style gyms, no obstacle course. Or you can choose to go to the "OC Fusion", which is kind of like half circuit training and half obstacle course. You don't have to pick one or the other - they offer both types of classes every day and you just go to the one you want.

You don't have to be into ANW at all to join, in fact I've been coming for about a year and I've never done the OC fusion class - I just do the straight circuit training.

Sean, the main coach, is awesome, and changes up the workouts everyday, so it's never boring and repetitive, and you're always working out new muscle groups.

One caveat for guys, I think a lot of guys are looking to build bulk, and this isn't the place for that. I think this is a gym for those who are looking for that 'lean in-shape' result. Here, there's not any heavy weight training like you'd find at a crossfit gym, so you're not doing any big weight and looking to build muscle in that way. There are some weights used, but it's just a totally different style than crossfit.

But, if you're looking for a full body, all around great workout, that's always unique, and will consistently kick your butt... Try Ultifit at Ultimate Ninjas!

We have been sending our 3 year old daughter to the little ninjas preschool obstacle course class at ultimate ninjas and couldn’t be happier. I was worried about sending her since she’s on the smaller side, but all the coaches are very patient and helpful. Coach Dana and Coach Mike create an incredibly motivating and encouraging environment, challenging the kids in a supportive way that allows them to become stronger and more confident while also having tons of fun. It looks like an amazing place for kids to play !
But the mat on the floor wasn't enough to protect children when they fell down or failed to land from the ninja course.
My child broke his elbow and it'll take a couple months to fully recover.
They checked the recording video and saw what happened to him.
They said they put two of the softest mats they had and it was an unfortunate accident. There's nothing they can do.

It's broken down into sections and time limits. I like the fact that they had a basket all section, but the dodge ball needs some work. The course is pretty cool, but the should have some mock competitions to add to the ninja warrior vibe. This is a tough review to write and the two stars is really aimed at the kids classes. Overall, the Ultimate Ninjas Libertyville location has a lot going for it. It is very clean with lots of fun equipment for both kids and adults. My 10 year old daughter had many great experiences here at open gym and birthday parties in the past.

Based on the past positive experiences we signed her up for a weeknight class. The classes started well but went downhill over the next two months. Our daughter started telling us how she didn't want to go anymore because of another girl in the class who had been bullying her each week which included shoving on and off the obstacles, verbal abuse and at one point a foot to her head. We encouraged her to tell the staff anytime this happened. She did tell the instructors multiple times but no action was taken and the behaviors continued.

I observed her final class and although no bullying took place that night, I could see the supervision of the classes was very lax and created an environment where trouble could fester. Kids were frequently leaving their designated areas and playing on other equipment and the young staff didn't seem interested in keeping order or doing much instructing. The group sizes are reasonable (10 kids or less) and the staff should have no trouble keeping watch over the kids. Maybe better training on how to deal with bad behavior?

The classes are slow paced with lots of idle wait time in line to use the next obstacle. For a 50 minute $25 class, the first 10 minutes are stretching, the next 30 minutes are obstacle rotations and the final 10 are exercises and free time. Our kid never came home with a sweat. It would be great if the classes could incorporate more aerobic components where the kids are running and moving more. Maybe obstacle circuits where they are encouraged to move quickly and compete with the rest of their group.

I did talk with Mike when canceling and let our daughter explain what happened in her classes. He was genuinely interested in hearing about what happened and suggested changing classes since that time slot can get a little crazy. He said he wanted to know anytime an instructor did not take action when kids are bullying. The offer to switch classes was appreciated but, for the reasons listed above, I don't have confidence that a new class will solve the underlying staff/supervision issues.

My family visited Ultimate Ninjas Libertyville for a birthday party. I was very impressed with the service, instruction, and attention the kids received while on the Ninja course. The birthday attendants kept close watchful tabs on the kids to ensure everyone's safety and got an ice pack for the birthday boy when he bumped his head. 40 minutes on the warped wall (several different heights), then 40 minutes on the Ninja obstacle course plus basketball and a fun game of dodgeball, and then 40 minutes in the party room. The attendants kept the kids busy on the obstacle course, were attentive and taught the kids the game of dodgeball, and were super helpful in helping with the party (carrying the cake to the table, passing out anything needed by the parents, and helped me take down decorations! I was very impressed with the service compared to other kids party places I have visited. I would hands down recommend this place for kids birthday parties! My kids loved it here! Make sure to check out the different walls throughout the facility with large photos of famous America Ninja warrior contestants and kids at the gym. Super cool place, for kids and parents alike!

The place is amazing! My son attends weekly classes for a year now. We attended couple pro camps which were great opportunity for him to meet all these famous ninjas from TV show and work out with them.We did the 10th birthday party for him too and all his friends were happy to use this awesome gym. It was so much FUN! They offer the camps during winter break, summer break and other times of school. We LOVE Ultimate Ninjas Libertyville! My son attends a weekly class, I have signed up for the group fitness class and we just had a birthday party for our boys here. The facility is state of the art, and the staff is next level. For an active family, I love that they offer something for everyone and all age levels.

The birthday party was incredible. The staff literally did everything as soon as we walked in the door and we could just enjoy the party. I recommend having staff set up courses for the kids, they took care to assess the capabilities of the kids and set up obstacle courses appropriately. They were both very engaged and gave each child individual attention which they all loved! The kids are all still talking about it, they had a blast.

The place is clean and well maintained, it was for only an hour because it was just for our big group. I think my kids who are 12 & 14 would've had more fun if they were shown how to actually do each obstacle. The guys only explained the warped wall. There were 3 guys working inside but they were talking to each other and not engaged with the kids around them. I'm sure if they were asked how to do something by a kid they'd jump to it, but I expected more instruction. Nice place though to have your kids get tired out!

Great place. Dropped the boys off for open gym on Sunday. If you go early at 9, then, you really get much more focus time on each obstacle, since not many people are there. I can't give half stars but I would give Ultimate Ninjas a 3.5. I'll round up in this case. Great, new facilities and very clean. I went to a birthday party today and the staff attending the party was great. There was a young man in particular who was assisting the party today and checked in on my shy boys regularly to see if they wanted to try any of the obstacles. The woman at the front desk, however, wasn't very helpful during check in and just overall not very friendly. There looked to be at least 2 party rooms and I think the one we were in fit over 30 people pretty comfortably.

The obstacles are very fun, challenging yet safe. I don't know if the A/C had issues but there was hot air blowing in random areas during the time we were there. I was on the floor with my kids moderately participating and I was breaking out in quite a sweat. My boys were playing much harder and needed regular water breaks and got pretty sweaty. I had fun on the floor as well! I'm far from this location but would love to take my 4 and 6 year old again for open play. The kids had a great time. On

Awesome! Cool facility...like an American Ninja Warrior TV set. Mike and staff are tertific. Everyone there including other people working out and "off duty" employees were incredibly friendly and supportive. Amazing culture and environment. Reasonably priced $10 open gym for 2 hours. Highly recommend checking it out.

Well designed so you have obstacles for all levels. Open gym for adults on Tuesdays and Thursdays is a blast!

Great community that really helps people learn and grow. Love how every time someone beats a particularly difficult obstacle everyone cheers!

The owner Mike is great guy and great athlete. If you’re training to be on the show, he is definitely the guy to take a few tips from!

My 2 boys and there friend fell in love with this place as soon as they walked in the door, and the were so tired after one hour and had to practically carry them all to the car. It is a very safe environment, well run gym. .. There is also a basketball court for the kids to play ball. The price was also great $12 for one hour of wild fun..... Trust me you and your kids will want to return. Also this gym is not only for children. It is for us two adults.

We brought 6 boys (2-9 year olds and 4-12 year olds. They were there for 2 hours of open play and had a great time. Lots of options for them. They loved the vertical walls but also liked the basketball court there when they were getting tired. The staff was very kind and encouraging to the boys.
